I really like a lot of the papers in Legendary. Beautiful blues.

Lovely Lane: I don't like it. Way too many flowers.
Legendary: My personal opinion is.....what is depicted, is not what I would expect a collection named "legendary" to be.
I won't be buying anything, from either collection.

Not crazy about either one, but I like Legendary better than Lovely Lane.

I have some interest in some of Lovely Lane but not enough to get past the papers being sold in a pack. Legendary is totally disappointing. The patterns are totally random and don't seem to go together very well. I wonder if some of the paper designs didn’t make the cut, and what’s left is the random bits. But since we can’t buy single sheets, you can’t even cherry pick what you like. Ugh. It’s all a pass for me.

Not crazy about either one, but I like Legendary better than Lovely Lane. This! I am another one who is disappointed by lack of availability of the individual papers. I would have totally bought multiples of a few of the Legendary line papers, definitely the black one with the line drawings of leaves and the yellow geometric b-side. Love those! I think they need to rethink the decision on not selling papers individually.

Then I saw the full reveal, and it looks like a temu version of Geralyn Sy. This is how I feel about it too. I'm disappointed they are not selling sheets individually as I rarely like a full collection enough to buy it, and certainly not in this case, there's probably only one paper I'd have been seriously interested in. I don't mind some of the embellishments and I can see several pieces that would be useful in my pocket pages, but I'm not sure if I like enough of the embellishment packs to pick any of them up. I'm even on the fence about the enamel hearts and dots despite having black hearts which are so difficult to come by. Lovely Lane is not really my style although I might pick up the enamel shapes and the alpha.

I wish the ephemera and stickers didn't have words on everything. Like I love the laptop (not a typewriter!!) and notes with tape but the words are completely irrelevant to me so I'm not sure if I'll get many embellishments or not. Oh my gosh, this happens to me so often! It's one of the reasons I don't buy more embellishments. I find that a lot of the little words, phrases, and captions designers put on their embellishments just don't work for me, and they love to put words on things for some reason.

I really like a lot of the papers in Legendary. Beautiful blues. Every so often I will look through ACOT and buy nothing but blue papers. I use so many. Obviously, i won't be doing that with this line, but in general I do appreciate lines with blue papers.

I would have totally bought multiples of a few of the Legendary line papers, definitely the black one with the line drawings of leaves and the yellow geometric b-side. Love those! I think they need to rethink the decision on not selling papers individually.I just hope beyond hope that other companies don't decide to follow their lead. I can count on one hand the number of 12x12 paper pads I've purchased in the past 15 years (when I decided I just was not going to make 12x12 pages any longer), and I only bought those for a special occasion album. I don't even always buy the smaller pads anymore due to so many lines looking so similar. But I do buy individual papers every single time I place an order with any scrapbooking/crafting site. I just got some album refills and while I was ordering those, I ordered 20 different 12x12 papers because I needed some cream/ecru papers. And I do think that a few of the papers in Legendary are quite different from anything I have. So much so that as you said I would have definitely bought multiples. But I have too much paper to be buying papers I don't like or know I won't use. Papers are the most important scrapbooking element to me. So if I can cherry pick papers, that greatly increases the chance of me adding on an embellishment pack or two. I don't buy a whole lot of embellishments, but I never buy embellishments if I didn't buy some of the paper, too. So, long story long I hope this choice doesn't turn out to be a contagious idea across the scrapbook company community.

Yeah Lovely Lane is a hard pass for me, I find the patterns incredibly busy and overwhelming. Legendary isn't as overwhelming but I dont like enough of the papers to buy a whole pack, individual papers *might* of tempted me but not the whole pack. I love how excited Paige is about scrapbooking and that's really cool but I don't care for her style...it's and busy and feels like too much.

I like legendary a lot - I would also prefer to pick my fave pps and buy multiples rather than have a pack, so I will have to evaluate that when it's in store. The ephemera tho I think I will buy
Lovely lane - just a nope - the colours remind me of an old MME line that even now is in my stash and I struggled with the colours. But..the mini alphas, yay!

... I was so looking forward to new, fresh papers from them. ... Me too! ETA: ... But these are the same but in a worse way. ... I wish they were the same (or ideally, improved); instead, IMHO they're just worse (& this is before we know whether the paper quality is the same as pre-pause)!

... And no way would I buy a paper pad for maybe 1 or 2 papers I could see myself using. ... ... I'm kind of stuck because I don't even want enough to warrant buying the smaller pad. ... ... I have no desire for an entire paper pad of any of it. ... I am also torn by only paper pads. ... For clarity, PFS stated "patterned papers will only be available in paper packs (choose from 12x12 or 6x8 sizes)." [bold is mine], which implies individual papers sold together in a cellophane package (like a collection kit) vs gummy-bound paper pads.

... the Legendary line does not read masculine to me. It's fairly gender neutral, which is good ... I do agree -more gender-neutral than masculine but for ME - that makes it more usable. I also agree. If only the industry would neutralize the overwhelming majority of collections, regardless theme or brand, that are stereotypical feminine & oversaturated with florals to make them appealing/versatile/usable for more customers!

... The big thing for me is not being able to buy individual sheets. ... Same, since I'm neither a collection nor theme scrapper & only purchase patterned paper by-the-sheet. PFS eliminating individual sheets was not on my bingo card...UGH!

"Lovely Lane" is a pass for me. Just too floral and "purple-y". "Legendary" has quite a few pp that I like but I don't understand not being able to purchase them individually. As "edme" said, depending on the price of the paper pad, I might buy that. Thanks PaperAngel.

I like Legendary but also wish the papers were sold separately (especially since two of my favorite patterns are on the same sheet). I can see using more of this for my teen boys instead of most of the lines officially geared towards teens.

I actually like the random generic-ness of legendary. Sometimes I just need a pattern, it doesn't have to be part of a theme. The embellishments are a little too girlboss/influencer for me. But nothing is telling me I have to buy it.

... I feel like Pinkfresh is having a hard time being ok catering towards a more masculine approach. Even in the cards for men event it was said many times that even men can do pink and purples and flowers. Which can be true of course BUT when many are seeking impressed masculine that’s exactly what they don’t want. [bold is mine] Interesting. It seems by even offering a For Him Card Event last month, PFS acknowledges a market for masculine supplies & would be eager to fill that niche.

I like quite a bit of Legendary. I like how it's kind of everyday and useful for many different things. Will I buy any of it? Not sure. Like others, I wish the papers were individual because I really do like that arrow paper!

... (Also, I totally view one of those papers as having flowers. Not a complaint, but merely an observation.) ... Same, except I consider two patterns - Living My Story & On Repeat - as (geometric) florals. [As an aside: I find it odd that PFS spent time/energy naming individual papers in a paper pack.]

At sneak peek I liked legendary because it looked so much like Geralyn Sy/IACB designed it. Then I saw the full reveal, and it looks like a temu version of Geralyn Sy. So bummed. I wish they would just bring her back. ... Well said. I still hope PFS will continue its collaborations with Geralyn Sy/IACB, even if only once per year as in the past - e.g. Tourist Mode (2023) & Simply The Best (2022). :fingers crossed:

... I was hoping for chipboard flair but I guess they are not doing that anymore. Given PFS didn't include chipboard flair in every collection prior to the pause, perhaps it will show up in a future release.

I'm reading all of this and I'm wondering if we are looking at the same lines. It is amazing how different our takes on this release are. I like Legendary a lot. The papers are pretty eclectic but the majority are really useable and fun. And yes, there definitely are multiple plant based papers. Definitely a lot of the old PF style there. I don't see much of the Paige Evans style at all. I got really interested when I saw the cardstock stickers, chipboard phrases, and journaling spots. I really like those embellishments. Again, very old PF, but I liked the papers and embellishments with that style. The first couple of times I used PF I was boggled about how to use it, but I now think it is really challenging and fun to use. I don't need all of the papers to match in a line, but I do need 3 scales of prints. A lot of this is big and chunky- it needs more small scale prints. Which is weird because Paige Evans is kind of the queen of small scale prints. I already wrote in another thread how much I liked Lovely Lane. So pretty. More flowers than I really need but wow, it is pretty. It would be nice if the papers were sold individually but I don't really have the issue some of you are having, because if I like a line, I'll usually buy 90-100% of the papers. I have no problem ordering the whole pack. I'm so glad they have named the papers because it makes it so much easier to discuss them. I hate how the old Paige Evans' papers just had numbers. I'm looking forward to getting both of these and playing with them. I've missed Pinkfresh. So I'm reading all of the negativity here and I'm like , because both lines seem pretty fun.
