Update: my marbles came in first in the art show. Got a lot of attention and the director of the museum came over to congratulate me even.  One guy said it was best of show which is big to me because there are artists there that are pros and have had solo shows in that museum even!

 I did this little guy for the fun of it. I'll do these little paintings between big painting so I don't want to gouge my eyes out. lol 5x7 His name is "Hans"  This is painted from a photo my son took while out Kayaking. I gave it to him for Christmas. It was a hit. One of my goals for 2014 was to paint water so this was it! The water in the original was different but making me cross eyed so finally I just put it down and painted what I thought the water should look like. 8x10  I wanted to work on something furry, something wooden and a nest. Boom. Used another artist's work as inspiration. 8x10 And lastly:  This took foreverrrrrrr. At least 30 hours. I was soooo over marbles when I got done. lol. I have a friend that collects and she's already wanting me to paint another one. 16x20 on arches watercolor board (totally regretted that too) It will be entered into the local museums member show this week. *crossing fingers* Thanks for looking!! |

Beautiful as always, Lana. I still need to order another 5x7 to accompany the acorns I bought last year. I think one more will balance out the grouping where the acorn is currently hanging.

Oh my gosh! They are gorgeous as always. The marbles look so real, like you can pick them up. I love the hedgehog. My grand daughter just got one for Christmas. Your water is fabulous!

All of these are fantastic. I have a green kayak like that so I love that one but marbles is my favorite. I loved your 3 marble painting. This one - wowzers! Such a simple object(s) can be so mesmerizing when they become art done so well. Love it!
