I don't know the reference but still think the phrase is funny. It wouldn't be anything I would look twice at, especially considering some of the revealing clothing that gets worn to schools here.

Not sure it is appropriate for school - outside of school maybe.

I think it's funny. My kids would love it, too. I have no problem with that being worn. It's clearly a joke.

I admit, I find it a bit funny. It wouldn't be worn to school here, but that is because we are a uniform school and my kid(s) don't tend to wear shirts with sayings on them.
I probably wouldn't think too much about it if I saw someone else wearing it, mostly because on the whole, some of the stuff I see kids wear is way more alarming.

ANAL SPORTS? ON A TSHIRT?
I can't even comprehend who wants to wear that to school. Or anywhere.

ANAL SPORTS? ON A TSHIRT? I can't even comprehend who wants to wear that to school. Or anywhere. @n@l sports, trying to keep the google hits to a minimum lol. I saw it and was slack jawed, and apparently I'm as liberal as they come. I can't help but think that her mom didn't make the tshirts for her, though...

It's pretty safe to say it wouldn't fly at DD middle school. She wore one of my vintage Guns & Roses t shirts to school one day. There are no guns printed on the shirt, just a skull with roses growing out of it, and the band name above the skull. She got "busted" by a hall monitor, and had to wear a shirt of shame the rest of the day. They are mens size 3XL neon orange t shirts, that have I GOT DRESS CODED printed all over them. She told the "fashion police", as the kids call them, that Guns did not reference weapons, but one of the founding members of the band, Tracii Guns. That got her a trip to the principal. Principal said he was impressed with her musical knowledge, and that she was, in fact, correct about Tracii Guns, but there was just no wiggle room in the dress code for any weapon, violence, drug or sexual references, even unintentionally. I guess they would have to tar and feather the poor man that dared to come on campus wearing a name tag that said Dick Lastname. I think the saying on your DD shirt is cute, and I often think it on Monday mornings when I get to work, but it might not be the best choice for school.

I also don't know the reference but I think anything mentioning assassins in a school setting might be taken the wrong way. I'd be wondering what kind of parent let their kid wear that to school.

I think its kind of funny (I've seen it on a shirt before) but no, I would not let my own children wear that to school. Sorry!

Because several incidents of school shootings or school shootings that have been stopped before they happen involve "hit lists" and assassins have specific targets.
I'm another that "gets" the sarcasm, but it's definitely a time/place shirt and school is neither. I'm glad you see that now and are taking it gracefully.

I bolded just like you do in Word: select (highlight) the phrase and click the B button on the editing ribbon.

Crimony, I can't even select text, let alone bold it.
And no one likes a show off (said tongue in cheek, but I can't figure out how to insert smileys to indicate that )

No, I'm not putting you on, I promise. My husband was also surprised that the teacher said something, and he is VERY conservative. Seriously, I cannot state this enough. Over-the-top. I am surprised at the general consensus, tbh I was expecting validation lol. Maybe my sense of humor isn't as funny as I thought it was I guess I am lucky in that school violence has never touched our area (I'm in Canada, a rather small city/town), and it is not something I even considered. Knock on wood. Its too bad, she was so excited about this shirt and even said it was her favorite Christmas gift. I will restrict the t-shirt's public appearances. I will respectfully disagree that other inappropriate t-shirts are irrelevant, though. To single out one thing and not others, why would she (or me, for that matter) have ever guessed that there is even a dress code? IYGWIM? Even after having it pointed out to me, I am not making the connection of this involving a school shooting, although the perception of violence is there. I guess it can be equated to making a bad joke at airport security - somewhere else it probably would be funny. I will validate you... I guess because I'm also Canadian, it didn't bother me. I don't know the reference; I just take it as sarcasm. I have a sense of humour that is twisted enough at times to find a line like that funny in a macabre way. So it doesn't bother me.

I would agree with most others that its just not a great shirt for school. My DD has a shirt that says "I Shoot People" and it has a picture of a camera on it. Photography is her hobby and a class she takes at school. She doesn't wear it to school. It's just not appropriate. Really? There is nothing wrong with that shirt. People are way too sensitive.

So OP, the majority of the peas say it is not an appropriate shirt to wear to school.

None of what you listed in the OP would be considered appropriate at our schools.

So OP, the majority of the peas say it is not an appropriate shirt to wear to school. Actually, I think the majority of the peas are having difficulties w/their phones, lol. She admitted she was wrong on page 3 and has been a really good sport thru this entire thing.
