My church has a monthly Happy Hour at the local bar and that's tonight at 5:30 I'm going up to the local steakhouse for a late lunch in a few minutes and that should tide me over until I get home later tonight. Then I'll have something quick and easy like leftovers or peanut butter toast.
How about you? What's cooking at your place tonight?

Tonight I'm not cooking anything, but DS15 ordered pizza, so at least the kids have been fed.

Happy to see this thread today! I'm going to the Tony Gwynn memorial this evening at Petco Park so I will probably grab something quick downtown. Maybe a gyro!

Nothing exciting here. Chicken Kiev (frozen, not homemade), a rice side & green salad.
Glad you brought this thread here AKathy!

I'm happy I found this place. I get a lot of good ideas for meals from you guys and I'd hate to lose that.

Oh goooodieeee!!!! So good to see this thread again!!! Pot roast that's been simmering allllllll day---- can't wait.... I also make a salad my Mom always made just for pot roast, and it really complements it.... Her dressing was Miracle Whip mixed w/ sugar, vinegar, and a bit of milk, and it coats the lettuce.....I usually like salad to have LOTS of ingredients, but since this is "special" that I only make w/ pot roast, just the lettuce coated with dressing is so yummy...

Grilled ham steaks, baked potato and roasted veggies. Then off to start prepping some meals for the weekend - getting 7 overnight guests - family from out of town!

I had left overs from last night that were supposed to be for dinner tonight, but I ate them for breakfast. So now, I have to come up with something for dinner and I am not sure what. The boys will be gone for days and days and it will be just me for a while. I really, really need to get better at this feeding myself thing. LOL

Dh and Ds just left for three days of camping. I'm not cooking real food until they get back. Dd and I will survive on salad, Annie's Mac-n-Cheese and snacks.

DS is swimming at a friends house and then they're coming back for a sleepover at our house.
DH and I are going to have rotisserie chicken, cous cous and zucchini. It was supposed to be hot and yucky so we tried to plan a meal that didn't really require cooking. It's not as hot as they said it would be but we might have storms later.

We're having Hot Pork Roast sandwiches with French fries and broccoli in a butter sauce. It smells amazing in my house right now because it also smells like cake as I'm in the middle of doing a wedding cake

It is "every man" in our house tonight, as in "every man for himself". I have band practice during dinner hour, and dh is not due to return from a work trip until late this evening. The girls will be fine fending for themselves.

Homemade bagel pizzas because I don't feel like cooking. I also don't feel like going to the grocery store, so we'll be using string cheese.

I've been trying to get back on track (less bread, sugar, etc.) so I'm trying to think of something healthy for tonight. Maybe a stir fry? I have tons of chicken in the freezer but no ideas!

Green chili chicken enchiladas for us tonight. I will likely make some rice and beans to go with it, but may just toss together a salad. I'm feeling pretty lazy today.
