I tweeze. Don't have a lot, but when I do get one, I pluck that sucker right away! Bad thing is sometimes I don't see them until I look in the mirror OUTSIDE. ACK!! I keep a pair of tweezers in my car for that very reason! LOL....My son volunteers for a horse riding came for special needs children, so I end up sitting in the parking lot for three hours after work waiting for him (it's a 30 minute road trip each way, so save gas and time), and that's the best time for me to attack my chin hair and my eyebrows LOL.... I keep a pair in my car for the same reason. That car mirror shows things that no other mirror will show. Peabay, your story is why I pluck instead of wax. I can't bear the though of going so long without doing anything.

Me too. I have enough of the dark hairs to chase after. I'm not messing with the peach fuzz ones.

I just shave my chin/jawline daily- I have PCOS and am peri-menopausal so there's a bit more than tweezing can handle Same here PCOS has given me way more DARK facial hair than tweezing can do. Waxing makes me break out horribly so shaving daily it is.

I pluck and pluck and then I pluck some more. Since I am down to one damaged ovary, I could almost have a goatee if I didn't pluck almost every day Wait, wait wait. Is this why I'm ready to run of to the circus as the new bearded lady. I also am down to one damaged ovary (been that way since I was 24, I'm 41). Had no idea that could effect facial hair.

I was told that it was hormone induced or should I say, lack of hormones. It that isn't it, please someone give me some suggestions?!

I dry shave also, removes all the fuzz and exfoliates too. Been doing it for years and it does not grow courser or thicker. Fortunately, I don't have anything to pluck.

I can't bear the though of going so long without doing anything. I'll tell you though - I had my chin waxed yesterday and it looks and feels like a baby's bottom. It's so smooth and nice. My skin was getting really bad looking from the plucking and the hair was coarse and just awful. I'll never not wax. It's cheap and easy and doesn't hurt. It was worth looking like my dh's Sicilian grandmother (as he so kindly pointed out to me...) for a week.

I wax my eyebrows but shave my chin daily. No way am I growing the chin hairs long enough to tweeze or wax!

I pluck the chin hairs (now that I'm retired, I sometimes forget, but I do it at least 2-3 times a week). The hairs over the upper lip are darket and more noticeable, but the skin is more tender there, so I pluck just a few at a time. Maybe I'll try wax or depilatory.
I actually worry about this, too. But DH is oblivious when I'm using the tweezers, and DD is 3000 miles away. So ... I worry.

Since reading this thread, has anybody else taken a mirror outside to check for facial hair? Because, I have!

I have lots of dark hairs along my jawline, way too many to pluck, so I use SO's razor. It keeps them at bay for a day anyway.

I did laser on my upper lip (pretty good results), chin (great results)...it's been about 3 years and I have a little regrowth on upper lip...I also have one of those spring things I got on amazon...it works good/painful kinda, it's just forcing myself to use it that is the hard part!

I wax my upper lip (have for years) and pluck my chin. The chin hairs started after I turned 40 and started losing hair on my head...you just can't win. :-(

I pluck, pluck and pluck some more. I had laser hair removal a few yrs ago on my chin and it worked for a while, but I just get so many, it didn't take care do them all.
The joys of pcos.

I started carrying tweezers in my car for this very reason. I rarely notice stray hairs until I am in the car.
My kids and I were at the library the other day and there was an older lady there and she had a full on goatee. No joke. I really felt bad for her but then I also wonder why she doesn't do something about it?
Btw, I read the title of this thread as: facial hair (on women). What do you think about it? LOL

Since reading this thread, has anybody else taken a mirror outside to check for facial hair? Because, I have! No kidding! I've been waiting for the facial hair to appear since I'm fully in menopause, but nothing so far. Of course, I also haven't had to pluck my eyebrows since I was in high school, so maybe I just don't have the facial hair gene. That's what I'm hoping, at least.

I read somewhere that models often shave their faces to give that flawless skin look in photos. I've always wondered if that's true.

Since reading this thread, has anybody else taken a mirror outside to check for facial hair? Because, I have! I keep a 10x magnified mirror in my bathroom window. It's on the second floor, gets excellant sun thru the day. I try to remember to warn people who need to use that bathroom - Don't Look In the Mirror in the Window-. Most of the people can't resist, and come out looking a little shell shocked.

I shave my chin at least every other day. The only problem is that I wonder if it makes me break out at times. I get my eyebrows threaded once a month, although I should probably go every two weeks. I have thought about trying that on my chin as well but am not sure I could handle the grow out period at the start and am also not sure how often I would need to go for upkeep and if the in-between time would be horrible then as well, like it is with my eyebrows.

Shave those suckers everyday. I tweeze my brows since I don 't have much fuzz there.

I just shave my chin/jawline daily- I have PCOS and am peri-menopausal so there's a bit more than tweezing can handle Sadly this is me as well. It's horrible and I'm afraid one day I'm going to be in a coma and I'll be the bearded lady. I've tried everything including laser and nothing works. Me too! I had laser hair removal on my chin a few years ago, and that helped, but I probably need to go back for a touch up. I used to get worse 5:00 shadow than my dh. Now it's not noticeable until the next morning. But to hear others stories of letting it grow for two weeks before an appointment? Yikes! I would have a serious beard going on by then. I hate it- it's so embarrassing!

I use the Emjoi. It stings a bit. But i know when its not. There are no more hairs to pull out. Much cheaper then waxing or creams and doesnt hurt anymore. I dont have to use it often and doesnt take long.

I hate that i have to, but i do. I'm a shaver too, also with PCOS. The darker, heavier ones I pluck, but I need to shave a bit every few days as well. My skin stays clearer when I shave, which is a unexpected but nice side benefit.
