It took me more than 24 hours to realize something was up. I mean how many times do you have to check in and think to yourself - hmmm, the first page LOOKS EXACTLY THE SAME before you start looking when the first thread was last updated and then realize something is up and then it takes you another 10 minutes to figure out that 2 p's is closing. Then I ran around devastated, cause even though no one knows me, and I'm not friends with anyone else here IRL or on FB, I JUST KNEW that something else would be set up but had no idea how to find it. Mad googling skills and a comment on a blogpost led to the NSBR Refugees facebook page and then here. So... Hi everyone. Nice to be back with you all  |

Honestly, If I hadn't seen it on Facebook/Instagram, I'd likely have thought the same thing. So don't worry!

I was lucky enough to have a Pea whose a friend IRL point me in the right direction. Otherwise, I would've been scrambling like mad, too!

I figured out late last night that the board was shut down. I got lucky and checked out Scrapbooks.com's forum and found a post.
I was freaking out last night!

I visit a couple times a day but found out from my mom. She saw it on Cathy Z's facebook page. I don't believe my mom when she said she hadn't been on two peas for a couple years because I was always worried she was stalking me.

I think the frantic Googling was pretty much what everyone did, LOL! Yep. I had the home page set as my bookmark so I got the news straight away. Took me a few minutes to figure out why there was no outcry on the boards though. |

I noticed that a thread was locked when I tried to respond but didn't think that much of it. Looked at the main page and didn't see any interesting threads and then saw an announcement on Ali Edwards FB page. I was shocked and then everyone else started talking about it and I joined the FB group to get the link to here. So it didn't take long but I was worried that I wouldn't have a message board to visit any more.

I was reading the boards yesterday morning, and then later I got the email about the closing. I clicked the FAQ link on 2Peas, and they had a question and answer about the forums, saying they were shut down. I was bummed all day yesterday after I saw that. I thought it was a lousy way to do it.
Did some more Googling today and found another place where this new board was linked.

I was working the past few days so wasn't on the boards. Didn't get an email either. So, once I kept refreshing the page and seeing that there's been no new posts since yesterday, I went to the main page and saw the announcement.

You're not alone! I kept seeing the posts in the same order, which was weird, but it wasn't until I went to the site on my computer (not phone) and saw the dates. THEN I panicked! LOL Glad you made it here!

I did the exact same thing! I kept seeing a tread I was on and thought I didn't just kill a thread, I killed the board. Then, every time I refreshed I blamed my computer or cookies, or iPad, or summer brain. Goggle brought me here. Whew!

I was thinking for about a say how slow it was and what was so damn interesting about food saver bags! It didn't occur to me until I noticed the stickies were gone and I read the top banner...duh. Glad to have found you all!

I was on and responding to an thread!
When I hit reply, it said locked. I thought maybe someone did something bad, so I moved along. Was in a chatty mood and found and other thread to reply to. Also locked. Thought maybe I was being punished for something I did not do. LOL. Went to Facebook to ask another pea and saw the news.

Here is my blonde Polack moment....I've had a cold the last couple of days, and decided to try Alka-Seltzer severe night time cold medicine last night. I rarely take night time cold stuff. It makes me talk in my sleep, and have weird dreams. I got up this morning feeling pretty good. I actually slept like 7 hours straight. When I logged on to Two Peas this morning, I noticed all the threads were locked. My first thought was "Oh Sweet Baby Jesus, did I get on Two Peas, in my Alka-Seltzer haze, and sleep type something that got me banned? LOL

I found out via a frantic text from Cara that the boards were shut down and all hell was breaking loose. I was just going into an all-afternoon meeting so I didn't get to get the details until the end of the work day.
