Wonder how long it will take for someone to show up at that address? With a weapon. Some people are just asking for it. I predict Karma is gonna whoop some ass here.

Does his proposed initiative also include death to lawyers who figuratively sodomize people?

I better start marching in more pride parades. What they believe in the Middle East is very different from what we believe back here. Very.
Death by 10,000 cuts? Ancient Chinese torture.
Samurai sword. I know a few people of samurai background who have ancient swords in the family. We could do what they did in ancient times. (I have watched too many Japanese period (era) dramas in my lifetime.)

Dick: The first thing we do, let's kill all the lawyers. Cade: Nay, that I mean to do.
(That's aimed at this yahoo lawyer, not all our fine Refupea lawyers.)

Yes, murdering each other is exactly what God would have us do. **eye roll**This kind of intolerance for each other is deeply disturbing.
I feel sorry for anyone who might happen to share this guy's name, because he's in for a lot of harrassment over this.

Just curious if this lawyer stated his proffered religion.
This attitude is gaining ground in the more radical areas of the world. Why are people here so surprised when someone in America believes what these others believe?
It's vile and it's evil. I'm just not shocked.

From what I've read/heard over the years, the only "safe" place in the middle east for someone living a GLBT lifestyle is Israel. Are you implying that we're worse in regards to how we (in the USA) treat GLBT individuals than in the middle east?
My first thought was along the lines of what Elaine wrote. I know plenty of attorneys that eff people every day. Dude better be careful what he wishes for.

Seems someone skipped, slept or failed their Constitutional law class. Maybe he was absent when the 8th Amendment, prohibition against cruel and unusual punishment, was discussed. Oi.

I don't weep for humanity because I am optimistic and believe most people are good hearted. This guy, isn't obviously. He is pretty vile. I wish he could be disbarred but I know that won't happen. Maybe he should join up with the Westboro "church". He sounds like just their type. I wonder if he is a closeted gay. It seems like people with the most vitriol are hiding something themselves.

Hi Jenny I would be more than happy to explain. We had an Israeli neighbour who was an Israeli and she was Jewish and she was born in Israel and she had two daughters who were also Israeli and were also Jewish. She only practiced Judaism even though she married a Catholic. (She was Jewish and brought up being Israeli and being born in Israel in every second sentence...) Once when I was talking to her, I made a comment that "...in the Middle East, Jews...." and SHE PUT ME IN MY PLACE SO HELP ME GOD!!! Israelis were NOT Middle Easterners they were Mediterraneans and NOT part of the Middle East. Ok. My mistake. I never made that mistake again. So when I said "Middle East" I was referring to the treatment of GLBT in Jordan, Nigeria, Somalia, Saudi Arabia, Iraq etc. NOT ISRAEL as I was told...so I thought I should leave out after being corrected that Israelis are NOT Middle Easterners. (This conversation did happen. It was over something like feta cheese. It was what I thought pretty innocuous. Could have been about rice, too. It was food related. I agree 1000% the only safe place for anyone who is GLBT or may be questioning their sexuality is Israel. I totally agree with that. The women I hang out with (the Muslimahs as we call ourselves) do not agree with the way women are treated, how they treat GLBT or any of those horrible things. What we do agree with is the role we play in what we believe to be true Islam. Not the crazy suicide bombers, not ISIS, none of that. We do not condone terrorism in any form (just as anyone else with a brain doesn't either). That is not Islam. People who do those things in the name of God, are pure evil.

I love the fact your son is gay and I will fight to the end of the earth for equal rights for your son. He should be able to marry, have children (however he manages to do so), divorce equitably, be the next of kin for his partner/husband/however they confirm their relationship in whatever time. If he wants to wear a business suit or a pink tutu or Superman underwear, I will fight for his right to do so. If he wants to be OUT AND PROUD or if he wants to be privately gay he has the support of everyone I am friends with, too.

Who would ever take him seriously as a professional? There are lots of people out there who agree with him, and those who do, will choose him over another lawyer. Where I live, there used to be a lawyer who, among other things, said that sexual abuse of minors weren't harmful (it was society's reaction that caused harm) and that incest was parents exercising their right to raise their kids. He was superbusy (for decades) every @sshole in Norway wanted him to defend them in court.

My son is gay. I love him to the depth of my soul. The thought of even one person that would wish him dead crushes me. Reading that article saddens me beyond comprehension. You will never convince some people that being gay isn't contagious. Or you didn't do something to make him gay i.e. baby him too much. That kind of stupidity never dies. Men and gay? There has to be genetically something there or not there. Something missing most likely (and it's an ok thing to have missing genes. Women have a Y chromosome missing so we are rocking without that Y and doing just fine thanks!). Men are terrified that if they sit next to a gay guy they will catch the gay sickness called "homosexuality" and they will be forever doomed as being gay. You can't fix stupid though. Do gay men really think a straight guy is going to go for him? It's like comparing a cat to a dog. Dog may want to bite the cat but the dog doesn't want to mate with the cat. The cat on the other hand may want to scratch the dog's eyes out. Being gay isn't any more contagious is my developing a liking for the Yugo car. It's not going to happen. I don't like Yugo cars. If a gay woman were to come on to me, I have no idea why one would but just go with it, I am secure enough with my relationship with my FWB that I can just say, "Sorry, sis, I am straight. Good luck! There are lots of wonderful women out there!"
