Anyone know the official status of the Genesis Paper Trimmer? Per recommendations in this thread (& so many others before it), I emailed Bonnie's Best Tools two weeks ago. Not only has the company not responded, but calling the phone number listed on the website yields a recording that indicates the company is on vacation until October 7 (uncertain whether referring to 2014 or 2015). I read somewhere that the website has shown the trimmers as "temporarily out of stock" since late 2013! Has Bonnie's Best Tools permanently stopped production? TIA & feel free to suggest an alternative!

Interesting........have you tried emailing? Maybe they've just gotten too many calls to handle.

Maybe demand just died down like everything else scrapbooking? So sad if it did. There is the Cutterpillar Pro which is almost a replica of the Genesis.

I emailed them a month or do ago and got a super quick response, I would try again. I wasn't inquiring about buying, the one I have got off track and I didn't know how to fix it.

Hi Skellinton, My trimmer is off-track as well. Is there a simple way to repair it?

Interesting........have you tried emailing? Maybe they've just gotten too many calls to handle. bonnie@bonniesbest.com Yes, I initially emailed Bonnie at Bonnie's Best Tools two weeks ago & followed up with both a telephone call & email this week. Still no response. Maybe demand just died down like everything else scrapbooking? So sad if it did. There is the Cutterpillar Pro which is almost a replica of the Genesis. I agree. Perhaps the company is waiting until it accumulates a certain number of orders until resuming production; of course, that would mean the trained workers are no longer employed, which creates another delay & concern about the quality of the product. Thanks for the recommendation; I'll check out the Cutterpillar Pro. I emailed them a month or do ago and got a super quick response, I would try again. I wasn't inquiring about buying, the one I have got off track and I didn't know how to fix it. Hope your issue was resolved. I resent the email & am awaiting response...

Hi Skellinton, My trimmer is off-track as well. Is there a simple way to repair it? Here is a copy of the email, it worked like a charm and the cutter is as good as new! It sounds like someone has abused the trimmer by cutting too many sheets of paper at once or items that were too thick for the trimmer. (This happens sometimes when a trimmer is shared by too many people who do not know the usage "rules.") When someone forces the trimmer to cut something that is too thick, it forces the cutter wheel out of place, which ruins future cuts. What you'll need to do is unscrew the handle and loosen the screw that keeps the cutter wheel attached to the carriage. Then move the cutter wheel by adjusting the position of the screw -- a little bit at a time -- within the oval opening on the carriage until it cuts properly again. It may take some experimentation to get it just right, so don't completely tighten the screw each time you move it -- just leave it a little loose as you move it and try cutting in each position until you find the perfect position, then tighten the screw and re-check the cut. In the future, you may want to post a sign prominently above the trimmer warning users to cut no more than two sheets of cardstock or three sheets of copy-weight paper at one time, and NO chipboard, bookboard or other heavy materials. Cutting items the trimmer is not calibrated for can also damage or chip the cutter wheel and/or the long flat blade that runs down the side of the trimmer.

UPDATE: Despite several attempts over the past two months to contact the company through various means, I've never received a response. It appears Genesis Paper Trimmers are no longer in production!

Unfortunately, it's my understanding the out-of-stock message has been on their website over a year. I hope the company is taking a brief hiatus & will resume production soon!

I had been stalking their website on and off for quite some time and also noticed that nothing had been updated. I finally bit the bullet today and ordered a Cutterpillar pro from Amazon. Apparently the aluminum ones are no longer being made, in favor of plastic. Joann.com had them on sale but they sold out within the day. SO bummed as I had one in my cart with a coupon at Joann last week but never pulled the trigger. I paid $106.47 with free shipping, (they were $129.95 from Cutterpillar), it's no where near the $64.99 sale price on Joann.com!
