Here in Canada, 58 at night and 62 during the day, no A/C in the house. In Los Angeles 62 in winter and 78 in summer. I would have loved 74, but our area was just too hot for that.

In the winter, we keep it at 65 round the clock. I can't stand to be overheated. I prefer to add layers of clothing if I get cold. Right now I'm wearing a long-sleeve cotton tee shirt with a slightly heavier cotton tee shirt over it, and a pashmina shawl around my shoulders and I'm perfectly comfortable.
In the summer, I like to be cool, so 67-68 round the clock. Again, if I get cold, I'll throw on a sweatshirt or a fleece jacket.

70 in the winter and whatever in the summer. We have room air conditioners we use on really hot days but otherwise it's whatever nature throws at us with ceiling fans always on.

I would prefer the house temp at about 72 and DH would prefer it around 65, so we keep it at 68 so we are both somewhat happy...LOL. In the summer I will bump it up to 72-75, again, DH likes it cooler, I personally could live without AC except on those 100 degree days...then it's kind of nice to cool off a bit.

Gosh I'm starting to realise why people don't take their coats off when they visit me! My house never gets above 60 in the winter and heating goes off from May to October. I hate being too hot! My friend keeps her house like this. I have Raynauds & stopped going there. It's actually worse in the summer they keep it so cold.

I would be happy with 68 year round. My husband likes it warmer. We are always fighting over how hot or cold it is in the house. I really hate going to bed when it is above 68 in here. During the day I like it 68. but when he comes home he likes it much warmer. He will come home change out of his work clothes and when he is sitting int he living room watching tv he is covered with a blanket with the fire going. I am in a tank top and shorts and sweating. but It actually works for both of us because I can get up and go in the other rooms to get away from the heat. I usually turn off the fire about an hour after he gets home. It then stays warm in the living room until we go to bed. but the bedroom is still nice and cool.

I'm married to Mr. Consistent, I think. Our thermostat is set at 73 or 74 year round. I would be happy with it at 68 or 70 in the winter since I like sweatshirts but he gets cold easily. In the summer 73 or so is perfect.

We don't have AC and in the summer the doors are open constantly. In winter I like it about 62.

55 at night and during the day when no one is home. 65 from 3:00 to 9:00 then back to 55. We seem to not catch as many bugs and viruses with the house kept cooler. We have central air but I hate keeping the windows closed so it seldom gets turned on.

72 in winter, 78 in summer. I 'm always cold and I wear many layers year round but I refuse to be uncomfortable at home.

Florida here. 74 in the summer. 70 in the winter. Sleep with a ceiling fan year round. Down comforter in the winter.

My perfect temp is 72 year round. Of course, the reality is that temperature requires an excessive amount of electricity for our home which is cost prohibitive so I settle for 65 in winter and 78 in summer.

In winter we don't turn the heater on unless it's below 60 in the house. When we do turn it on we set it to 61 at night and 64-65 during the day.
Bedroom ceiling fan on high at night year round.
In summer I wish we could afford to keep it that cold but we can't, so we do 68 at night and 72 during the day.

I barely put the heat on in winter unless the kidlet is home. I just bundle up. I keep the A/C on low in the summer, probably around 80 degrees. I'm frugal with my energy bill.

Gosh I'm starting to realise why people don't take their coats off when they visit me! My house never gets above 60 in the winter and heating goes off from May to October. I hate being too hot! Yeah, I'd probably keep my coat on at your house! i find these threads fascinating. I had no idea, until reading here, that so many people keep their houses so cool - and 60 or below would be way too cold for me in the winter. Certainly it makes a difference what I'm doing, and I would feel the cold much more if I'm sitting than if I were up and around cleaning. But obviously, people have very different temps at which we are comfortable. Some of my friends would find our home too warm. I used to resist turning on the heat until a certain date, and I still like cooler temps for sleeping, but the older I get the less I like being cold - and I see no reason to be uncomfortable in my own home.

We have the heating on 20 C (68 F) during winter. In summer we probably go cooler on a hot day or night, but our cooling system has settings with numbers not temperature, so I have no idea how cool it is. Gosh I'm starting to realise why people don't take their coats off when they visit me! My house never gets above 60 in the winter and heating goes off from May to October. I hate being too hot! Yeah I think I'd be taking a blanket to your house!

Being in Florida, we rarely have days cold enough to have the heat on. On the rare *cold* days, we bring it up to 68-70 in the morning, turn it off and it stays pretty comfortably in that range the rest of the day. The rest of the year, we like it between 70-72 so our A/C is pretty much running constantly.

I like my house a little cooler in winter than the others in the family. I a good with 69 and the family seems to like 72 or 74. (Yes, I am hot all the time, too)
Summer the house is too hot. We don't have a/c but have fans going all the time. It's generally really nice and cool at night.

70, year round. It gets as low as -20 F or so at times in the winter, and as miserable as 100+ at times in the summer but it's the humidity that makes it unbearable. We have some allergy issues in our family so in the warmer months that is somewhat alleviated if we run the A/C and keep the windows closed, so more often than not we're running it even if the weather outside is tolerable.

I.hate to be cold. I keep it at 72 or 73 in "winter" and 78 in summer (that's a little too warm but the electric bill would be too high running two units in Arizona summer)

In Winter I have it set at 58 and occasionally will have to turn it up when my disease acts up really badly. I set my a/c to 68 in Summer but have no problem lowering it. I absolutely can't get too hot as it would take at least a day to cool down with my disease. I really shouldn't let myself get too cold, but it's easier to deal with then being too hot.
ETA: if there were kids and when my nieces are around, I obviously will make it much more comfortable for them.

I'd like to keep it around 70 year round but it tends to jump up to the mid 70s in the summer. Even though we have A/C (unusual for Seattle), our upstairs stays really war while the downstairs is a meat locker!
