If money were no object I would have my house at 78 in the summer and 72 in the winter. But, I'm on a budget so in the winter it's at 65, 67 if I'm really cold, and down to 62 at night. In the summer I keep the a/c at 80 and if I'm too hot I'll go down to 78. Doing it this way my electric bill is about $70/mo

74 during winter and 68 in the warmer months. I don't know why that is, but I hate being cold and I hate being hot.

We have been keeping the house around 68 most of the winter and about 78 or 80 in the summer and it is still crazy expensive here in the inland empire of southern California.

I am not a warm weather person. In the winter we set the thermostat to 66. In the summer 70 for the air conditioning.
