I have my cardstock sorted by colour in a drawer but it's stacked so every time I want to use black or grey I have to pull out all the other colours first. I'm guilty of being one of those people who uses white on almost all my cardstock backgrounds with the occasional black or grey thrown in.
Which got me wondering - do you still use coloured cardstock? Do you think we'll see it cycle back into fashion?

I think it will not cycle back into fashion but I guess you should never say never.
I only use colored cardstock for cards. Maybe a mini-book or something, but probably not. I am a big fan of neutral cardstock colors now.

I mostly used white also. I have a boat load of colored cardstock so I use that once ina while to mat something or in my silhouette. I barely use black all.
I think it will make a comeback one day. Everything circles around...like people are starting to use deco scissors a bit again. And colored cardstock is not that out there that it will fall to the way side forever.

I use a TON of kraft, white and off-white/cream. I keep those closest to me when I scrap. I also have a huge collection of colored CS. I actually do use it, especially some of the more trendy colors. But not nearly as much as kraft, white and cream. Not even close. But what I noticed when I put away some pages from DS's baby book is it was kind of monotone with kraft as the background for every single LO. Ha. So I've been trying to switch it up with a color here and there.

Lol! I didn't know colored cardstock was 'out of fashion'! I've never gotten on the kraft kraze! Kraft seems very dull to me. I love color on my pages and can't imagine not using it. I have noticed that the colors come and go. I have a lot of older colors that don't go with the newest patterned paper. But of course I'll keep it all because eventually it'll go with something!

Occasionally for making card bases. On actual layouts I rarely use anything but black, white, cream and brown. I do like having my stash of colors though for cutting out Silhouette shapes.

I use my colored cardstock all the time but usually not for the base of a page. I use it to mat photos, cut titles, create paper piecings, cut tags or other embellishments. I use color a lot because it makes me happy! Most of my base pages are white, cream, black, tan/kraft. Occasionally I'll use a colored background but not all that often.

I can't live without colored cardstock. It is nearly always the thin border around the outside of my pages. I have a drawer full of each color. But then, I know I'm out of fashion!

I use colored cardstock on almost every layout. I use it as my background, for matting my photos and for cutting out my titles. I don't know what I'd do without COLORS! I'd have about a 3' pile of it.

I didn't know colored cardstock was out of style, but I don't use it much except for matting photos. I started scrapping with Creative Memories many years ago, and hated using the white pages. I was an outcast at CM crops for using top-loading pocket pages in all of my albums with colored cardstock backgrounds. Before CM closed, I stocked up on natural pages, and now use those along with white for my album pages.

It's out of fashion? Whoops. I do still use colored cardstock, any time it will match my photos & patterned paper. I also love it for die cutting and making paper punchies.

I use the white and cream the majority of the time for backgrounds. But I love my stash of colored card stock for titles, borders, cameo cut-outs, etc. And occasionally I will use it to border some of my pictures. I could never envision not having it.

I have color on every wall of my house so I couldn't imagine not using colored cardstock in my scrapbooks.

I still use colored cardstock, but not as much as white & cream. I didn't realize it wasn't "in" either, lol. IWhatever works best with the photos & papers I'm using for the project.

I can't live without colored cardstock. It is nearly always the thin border around the outside of my pages. I have a drawer full of each color. But then, I know I'm out of fashion! I know you still use a lot of coloured cardstock from all the fab Disney layouts you've been posting in the gallery.
I still use bits and pieces of my coloured collection but, as others have said, it is mostly as an accent on the page, usually just a narrow strip or a punched edge. I've gotten so used to looking at my lo's on a patterned paper or white cardstock base that when I flip through the colours in my drawer I can't imagine using it as a background and I wonder how I will ever use it all up.

Rarely do I use my colored cardstock. I'm a patterned paper convert for sure.

I use colored cs all the time. I had no idea it was not fashionable, but then again, fashion has never been one of my big concerns in crafting.

I am always drawn to green cardstock. Not a bright green, more of a sage. I just love it. It took me forever to use pattern paper as a background sheet. Guess I am still stuck in my ways. Which are back in 2006!

I still use it - if not for a background then for matting my photos. I don't care if it is in style or not I like it. I have it so I will use it. I do find I am not using as much as I used to though.

yes. I don't understand. I even looked in the gallery at layouts. It looks like most of them use pp and many colors of cardstock. There are a few with white backgrounds, which is fine, of course. If you like it, whatever design/color you use is great.

I scrap primarily with patterned paper and I use cardstock for mats and journaling boxes primarily.
I just bought a pack of brown shades because I was reaching for brown this weekend while scrapping 70's pictures and didn't have any.

This thread made me smile. When I go to my LSS and buy patterned paper, I always buy colored cardstock that coordinates with it. BUT, I almost never use it! I like to have it to mat photos, use as a background, use for Sil cuts, etc. My new thing is to to cut my pp background down just a tad on all sides and then mount it on a coordinating color background. But that may change tomorrow, or next week, lol!

I never really thought about it until this post but I have not been using as much coloured cardstock over the last few years but I do still use white and plenty of Kraft. I don't buy cardstock that much anymore unless I have a specific project but I wont be getting rid of what cardstock I do have as I still use it for things, as for it making a come back I am sure in some way it will, look at decorative edges from all those punches not quite the deco scissors that we all had in the early days but still decorative edges.

Well, I guess I've never been fashionable so why start now! I use coloured card stock all the time. Drives me crazy when I don't have just the right shade though. LOL. I use it for mats, page backgrounds, journaling blocks, borders, cards, etc. As long as I'm happy with my finished page I don't really care if it's in style or "trending".

While I mostly digi scrap, but it would apply to paper as well for me. I almost always mat my layouts. So in doing that I will use a color cardstock that matches the pattern paper I'm using. Then the base would be a neutral color. I also usually double mat my photo's with a coordinating color cardstock and a neutral base. I honestly didn't know colored cardstock wasn't in anymore...oops
