Last night, I noticed a lump inside my left cheek that could also be felt from the outside. It's a bit painful to the touch and now seems to be getting more painful just in general. Not super bad, but noticeable. There is also now a red colorization in the area of the lump on the outside of my cheek. I plan to see about going to Kaiser tomorrow during my 5 hour layover (I drive a boy down to school and wait for him but have the time to do my own thing).
I'm not sure how walk-ins work during regular business hours at Kaiser so we will see if they can get me in.
We have a 4 day trip coming up on Wednesday so I really need this taken care of by then.
Any idea what it could be? Google is not helping to ease my worries.
ETA: I edited the OP to say the red spot was on the outside. Sorry I left that out earlier.

Possibly an infected salivary gland?
Hope it goes away quickly!

Is it dark red, like blood? Sometimes I just bite my cheek and get a little blister in there. Hurts a lot, but harmless. In the meantime, I'd either rinse with warm salt water, or listerine if you've got it.

Sounds like an infected saliva gland. Best to have it checked out before travelling. You may need some antibiotics to clear it up.
