My goddaughter gave me a prom dress she bought last spring but didn't wear and asked me to sell it on Craigslist. So I took it home and I really think the thing has started to spread overnight. I'm kind of scared its going to take over the bedroom tonight while I sleep and I will awaken covered in bright punk tulle... FYI She did not like that the bodice weaving was tulle. She wanted ribbon. So she found and wore the exact sane dress, except with ribbon on the bodice. Yes there are 2 of these dresses out there. No she is not a shy or retiring kind of person. I mean, the thing already looked ginormous at her house and it is a HOUSE In my tiny apt? My gawd it's bigger than my couch. Ok I stepped back twice and I still cant get the whole thing in the frame.

Ha ha. It isn't something I would have worn, but I have to give a girl credit for having the confidence to wear a dress that is going to make you the center of attention, and I hope it finds a new home with someone who gets a similar kick out of life.

That's the kind of dress that wears you.
This from the woman who once wore-gasp-brown to a ball instead of her normal black, and I considered my self breaking out of my box. In brown. Even in middle school, only black for formal wear. No floof, ever. So what do I know!
I also must know about the brooms.

That looks like someone's dream quinceanera dress! Put that word in the title, LOL! Oh it is. I've seen the sane dress in shop windows in my neighborhood -- but in Nuclear Winter Orange and Banana Peel Yellow. See the little matching jacket? Its so you can wear the dress inside the church. I'm pretty sure I can sell it easily!

I've been collecting pics of her in all her fancy dresses from high school so I can include them in a scrapbook I started for her 10 years ago -- so I can finally give it to her. Believe me, most of them made my eyes bleed. The girl likes some COLOR.

I am noticing your broom collection in the background. I might need an explanation. I've been collecting handmade brooms since 1992. The long one with the purple corn was from a store in Oshkosh, WI. The other long one was handmade at one of those historic villages in Toronto. The short one was a gift. I had to repaint the place to start hanging them. The previous tenants had mustard yellow walls. Which I liked, but I couldn't hang any of my stuff up. I fit just one up on the accent wall. This one is from Dollywood.

And uh it looked better before I had to move my bookcases over 4" for something else. I haven't gotten to rehanging it yet.

Even in middle school, only black for formal wear. No floof, ever. So what do I know! I also must know about the brooms. She could get away with it. She is tall, blonde, a dancer, and a size 2. And her personality is as big as this dress. I love that girl but I tease her about the dress. "MY EYES!!! MY EYES!!!" She just laughs bc she looks fantastic in the dress (I took some pics of her wearing it for selling purposes - headless dress pics) I would like to mention that when I was a bridesmaid in her parents' wedding in 1991 our dresses were that same color pink! Just not so floofy. Is it mean of me that I wanted the peas to wince with me? Lol

I like the dress but I must say I love your brooms lol Aw thank you! They have been in storage a long time. Then I had to repaint. Mustard yellow and broom corn just did not work for me. I still have only a few more up. I like seeing them.

It's just like the peas. I take a pic of a huge floofy dress with a skirt that is taking over Chicago and everybody is looking at the stuff in the background! Ha ha! Did you notice I had a bag from shopping in the entryway too? And the rustic wooden stool I use as a bedside table? And that my bedroom is currently pea green? (I am in the middle of changing that color too -- to dark peacock blue) :-) :-) :-)

I'm more inclined to notice the books on the book shelf. I have a deep love of all things bibliophilic (I made up that word ) and am fascinated by everyone's book choices.

It also appears that you have two clocks right next to each other, care to explain that for us? Oh my gaaaaaawd LOL The grey one is a sound machine. My upstairs neighbors appear to never sleep and never leave. Their computer desk area is RIGHT OVER my bedroom and my bed, which I cannot reposition. At 2-3 am most nights one of them is walking around over my head, dropping shit, it drives me nuts. In the summer I have an AC unit humming and a fan blowing and that helps. In winter it gets on every nerve. I also have terrible insomnia. So I have trained myself now and when I put on the Ocean Waves sound I fall right asleep. Oh, peas.
