So my YouTube and Instagram has been flooded with people swapping Pocket Pages. At first I thought it was PL stuff but its not (I don't think!). Anyone know exactly what it is? What are you suppose to add to the pockets for your partner?
Thanks!

Pages with pockets. Could be a PL photo page. Some people use a page that holds 9 baseball sized cards. What you put in it depends on what the hostess has set out in the details; I'm sure it varies from swap to swap.
ETA: Sorry, that's abrupt. Had to get dinner from the oven. I'll go look up what some people are swapping in a little bit.

I been seeing the ones with 9 slots mostly. I didn't know it depends on what the hostess wants everyone to do. Thanks again.

My friend sent me (through Pinterest) a photo of one she had Pinned. They seem pretty cool!

I been seeing the ones with 9 slots mostly. I didn't know it depends on what the hostess wants everyone to do. Thanks again. I recently saw a swap for these on Splitcoast; it's the first one I've seen. The hostess wrote the following: Basically, you fill up a 9 pocket trading card sleeve with ATCs of a certain theme. And, inside the pockets you tuck in little goodies. They might be washi tape samples (on acetate so your secret sis can use it), ribbon, stickers, buttons, embellishments, tea bag, sequins, etc, etc. One of the pocket holds a letter...and of course, you can come up with some creative ways to design it. Try to keep things relatively flat. But...when you fold this protector into thirds, you can mail it in a long envelope. (Though, I do use packing tape around the envie to keep it from ripping up in the mail.)
This particular swap is going on for four months, so she assigned each month a theme: April: Design a pocket pal in your style, your colors, your likes, etc...so your partner can get to know you.
May: Flowers...let's hear it for Spring!!
June: Summer theme
July: All about your partner! After 3 months of chatting and designing, create a pocket letter that is in the style/colors/theme that your partner will enjoy! And then reveal yourself in the last month!
I think you can read at SCS without being a member, so if you want to check it out, here is a link to the swap. She has some pictures in the first post, and if people have received theirs already this month, there might be some more in the thread.

I used to participate in the swaps at 2Peas. It was a fun way to interact with other scrappers. Some of the same swappers are on Splitcoast Stampers as well. That sounds like a nice idea for a swap.

You know the peas are still swapping, just on facebook now? I think there are at least two groups swapping, because right when I joined, there was some kind of a revolution and a bunch of members went stomping off. I missed all the drama, though. I've been swapping there. They're a structured group (not much flaking) and very creative. I can give you the link if you're interested in joining.

Thanks, lucyg. I got the Facebook info, but got busy with other projects and never made it over there. There was some drama brewing before 2Peas shut down, so I'm not surprised it continued. I would appreciate it if you'd pm the link to me. There were some really nice swaps going on, and I liked trying new things.

Yes! The you tubers are calling them Pocket Letters. The first time I heard someone say it, I assumed they meant Project Life. But after hearing multiple people mention them in their videos, I googled it. It's kind of pen pal and a swap all in one. Pretty cool.
Yours turned out lovely!!!

Really cute! You did a great job. Does the card in the middle have little fold-out doors on it?

I was going to post the same. Jeanette is the pocket letter originator just this past January and it has caught like a wildfire. I have made quite a few and enjoy sharing my goodies. Sent from my NX008HD8G using proboards
