Surely I can't be the only one with a stash of unfinished projects ... right?
I have layouts that just need journaling or a bit of embellishment or a photo printed, or sometimes all of those. I have mini albums and year in review albums and vacation albums and other themed albums that need a few (or more) layouts done to finish them.
I consider these different to my in progress projects which I still work on when the mood strikes me.
Do you have a stash of unfinished projects? Do you ever go back and finish them? Have you ever just decided they're never going to be finished and thrown them out?

Can I just say that I wish I only had projects that need a little bit of help to get them finished? Lol I have LOTS of unfinished projects...layouts, mini books, altered stuff, etc. It's a bit overwhelming, so I just try not to think about it.

I have a roomful. Three years of ditched project life, knitting, embroidery, scrapbooks... I'm sure there's more. A few years ago I focused on the word "complete" and got a lot accomplished. Then I started over.

You are definately not the only one! I have many older layouts that need journaling on them. Someday I'll go back and finally finish them....

So glad to see I am not alone ! I have several mini books - stopped even starting them as they are not my best, 4 months of PL from last year I might one day attempt - hated it ! I do make a point of finishing off layouts though - that way I can pack them into albums and get them out of the way. O - and then here is the Christmas album from last year - all good intentions but no photos printed yet for it !

Yes! I hate leaving things unfinished, but sometimes it just happens.
I have several of DS's "month in review" pages for his baby album that need journaling. I didn't do it at the time bc I have to look up the info and I also need to computer journal since it takes up a lot of space on the page. It's just a lot of work that isn't fun. I do enjoy the finished product, though.
There's lots of other pages that need something in that pile too.
I'd like to take a day and just plow through all of them, but realistically I'm more likely to get through the pile if I tackle one every time I sit down to scrap.

Sing it, Sister! I have a cupboardful. Too scary to go in there... Too funny! I have counted cross-stitch projects that are probably 99% completed. I haven't looked at it in ten years...

I have 12 layouts/albums/projects that need to be finished.
Here is the breakdown:
*Two pre-school albums (one of which only needs the Intro page and the last page). One album is for the dd who is in second grade and the other is for my dd who is in Kindergarten.
*Six layouts need journaling
*One set of multiple pages that need journaling - the pages are from a vacation and will go in the vacation book
*Two layouts that are partially finished but I'm not happy with them so I might start all over using different paper/embellishments
*One layout that is partially finished but I'm happy with it so far and will finish it with a title, journaling and some additional embellishments.
I hope to finish these projects/pages soon. I also need to organize a whole bunch of supply purchases that are just sitting in the original shipping boxes and shopping bags. One of my fears is that I'm going to croak and my family will discover how crazy I really was!
I don't put a page in an album until it is completely finished.

I WISH it was just a "pile"--ugh! I'm unpacking stuff that hasn't been looked at in some cases for over a decade and have been working on sorting it all out. Let's just suffice it to say that there were WAAAY more half done projects, such as trade show class projects, home décor projects that never made it out of the bag from the store, page kits that had been opened and then abandoned, other kits that had been started and then abandoned, than I remembered I had... Yeah, it's bad. I kept the stuff that looked like I might be able to use it for photos I probably have and might actually work on and put all of them in a specific drawer. Some other things I pulled apart and kept the pieces I might use and will either donate, sell or toss the rest. Other things have gone straight into the "what was I thinking?!?" trash bag, LOL. And that's not even beginning to discuss all of the OTHER kits and projects that I never even opened to look at, those have all (for now) been corralled in yet another large drawer. My goal, once I get this mess somewhat tamed, is going to be working through that drawer and start getting some of those projects finished in between completing some of my other larger, in progress projects I have going. Like Chinagirl828 mentioned, these aren't in the same category because I have been actively working on them a little at a time but haven't had a big enough chunk of time to make better progress or the space to leave it all out where I could pick at them more frequently. The last time I had a scrapping day with a friend at home here was last JULY, before my studio was totally ripped apart for renovations. I made a point to finish up most of my layouts that needed "just a little something" so I could get them done and out of the way before total chaos ensued. I was pretty sure I wasn't going to have another chance to scrap here for a while and it turns out I was right!

I have a three, possibly more, mini albums that I started and didn't finish. I used to be very rigid about finishing one project before starting another but I just cannot get myself to finish these albums. One is a super cute mini in the shape of a house that was going to be for favorite family recipes. Another was a paper bag mini using a paper pad I found at Hobby Lobby called Farm Fresh. I didn't have pictures for either project and I think that was the problem. I just wasn't motivated to scrap without pictures. Lesson learned.
I also tried to crochet but never got more than a few inches into a project before I'd decide that it looked awful and I'd take it apart. Doing this over and over again didn't stop me from trying new patterns and buying new yarn. I finally got tired of it and decided to give away all the yarn and my crochet hooks. That was a couple of years ago. Recently I found myself thinking I could quickly and easily make a blanket with the biggest hook and two or three strands of yarn. How quickly I forget the lessons I thought I learned.

I have started trying to finish layouts and not have a pile sitting there taunting me, usually it's the journaling that I put off.
I have a Year in the Life (Project Life, sort of with less "stuff") album from 2010, a Week in the Life from last fall, a Me the Abridged Version from 2011? and a December Daily from 2010 unfinished... maybe I should stop signing up for classes and projects.

I was just talking about that this morning with a friend. We both decided we need to pull out these projects and finish them up if possible. I am getting a delivery tomorrow of new stuff and hope to pull out a few in finished layouts/cards and finish at least one. I know I will feel better if I finish something and can out it in an album or add to my stash of ready to use cards (one of which saved me this week).
I also have a ton of things on my DVR so maybe I can work on watching those while I complete them.

I've got a bunch of stuff that's not finished.
I've been known to get rid of supplies that I never even tried. Only twice did I get rid of partially finished crafts. One was a large needlepoint that I put with my tag sale stuff. I thought that someone might want some of the supplies. A lady bought it and was planning on finishing it. She told me that she likes finishing up projects and looks for them at tag sales.

I have a couple partially complete mini albums and two layouts. I should really just scrap the layouts and start over from scratch. I am so unmotivated by my first attempts.

I know you all don't want me in your thread, but, no. I have to finish everything. Not limited to scrapbooking. I get anxious and guilt ridden until everything I start is finished. Anyone have a diagnosis for me?

I have lots of unfinished projects. I bought things hoping to make gifts and then I procrastinate and never make anything. I'm trying to change? first step is to admit the problem, right?

Yes, I do. I came across one last weekend and decided to start over with it. I used a couple of the same items but switched out lots of others. I also turned it from a one- to a two-page layout. The before-and-after shots are at my blog (link in my signature).
I know there are more unfinished layouts in the scraproom, just waiting to be found. I hope to finish them up eventually.

Have mercy, yes. Dozens and dozens of layouts just waiting in the "almost but not quite" pile. It makes me crazy.

Anyone have a diagnosis for me? No diagnosis, but you are my idol! I am only that way about doing laundry (and dishes) before going on a trip. Every stitch of dirty clothing, towels, whatever that is in laundry baskets waiting to be washed must be clean before I can leave the house! Irrational? Definitely! But it sure does make it nice when I come home and the only dirty laundry in the house is what we brought home.

Not really a pile. It is more like Iris containers full of projects. I scrap a lot; i have time. I just see something newer and more sparkly and get detained… for years.

Yeah, I have 3 or 4 layouts to finish up. I start them at my LSS and then want things I have at home to finish them up with. But I'm usually good about actually doing it and putting it away. It's craft projects that seem to get piled up and not finished for me! As in finish putting together that pinwheel bouquet, that rosette snowman, find a frame for a canvas my daughter painted, repair that necklace, etc.

a Me the Abridged Version from 2011? ... maybe I should stop signing up for classes and projects. I have one of these from 2010 that I keep telling myself I will finish. Then I open it up and see how far I still have to go and so put it back for another day when I'm feeling more motivated.

I have a bunch of layout "kits" put together in my rolling tote that sit there unfinished, year after year. One of the layouts is photos from New Year's 2005/06. Most of the others are newer than that. But I get crafter's block with them. I can't quite figure out what I want to do with them.
I think I'll bring them to a crop and ask for suggestions. They really need to be finished.
