Things seem to be looking up. I know it's aggravating but it will all come out in the wash.

I haven't read the whole thread, but was wondering if you have filed in Texas?

Yeesh, I am so sorry that this *person* has put you through all this Will he have to pay your attorney's fees? He should! I really hope that someone sets him straight very soon. Glad that things have worked out so far! ETA: My ex did this kind of thing constantly for the first few years after our divorce. These kinds of people suck.

If he had filed a motion in Texas, the courts would have served you the papers, not him. Most have to be served within 7 days.

rodeomom, i haven't filed anything b/c i'm the custodial parent so there's not really anything i can file.
no attorney fees, neither of us has one.. can't afford it and didn't qualify for one thru legal aid
nicksmom, all i know is that when he filed in NY he had to get the local sherrif's dept to serve me, i don't know if that's b/c its across state lines or what.
my cousin is a paralegal who deals in family law quite often and she said a judge will throw out a request to move jurisdiction to ny b/c the kids live here and the divorce was filed here. so if that's what he's supposedly filed he's wasting his time!

Biiiiig Talllllker. That's what comes to mind when I read your OP. He doesn't even know how to fight for custody properly. I'm sorry that you have to endure this awful stress. Hoping that his bark is way worse than his bite and that he realizes that the full time dad gig is gonna cost him a lot of money and time and that he'll give up quickly.

A cautiously positive update - so glad for you. I can't imagine the stress and anguish this dick is causing you.
