2-3 times if I'm in town all week. But when I'm traveling for work I might go 1/month, so I figure it all evens out. I mostly buys fruits/veggies, so sometimes that takes a few trips.

Some times we go 4 or 5 times and there are times we make it through the week with no trips to the store. We go to Costco about once a month. We go tot he store when ever we need lettuce. When we either run out or it goes bad. I don't know what is wrong with lettuce but the past couple years we have had bad luck with buying lettuce. Ha - that's pretty much me too! I box the boxed organic greens - when they run out, I go back to the store. Or bananas, because I only buy 2-3 at a time because I don't like them turning brown. But my 'grocery shopping' usually consists of stuff that fits in a carrying basket. I don't do full cart shopping like many of you have to very often (maybe every other month?). So 2-3 times/week isn't a lot of groceries.

Once a week for a fairly big trip and then back again mid week for more friuts/veggies. During the summer when I'm not working, I find myself going more often simply because I have the time.

I try to go once a week but sometimes depending on our schedule i go about every 7 to 10 days. Sometimes in the summer when we grow a lot of produce I only go every 2 weeks.
I have a friend who only goes every 3 months. She hates it. She goes and spends like $800 on canned and frozen items and boxed things like cereal and granola bars. She gets 1/2 a cow once a year and then stops at the farmers market once a week for milk, eggs and veggies/fruit. It works for her because she hates grocery shopping and she is insanely busy. She doesn't meal plan, she just goes to the kitchen and finds something random to eat.

So my kids eat them while they are almost green and then at the end of the week I finish them off when they are too dark for anyone else. Brown bananas are the sweetest!

Maybe 4 times a week. But not to the same place every time. It's a combination of Stop & Shop, Market Basket, Costco, the butcher shop, farm stand at the end of the street, fish store, CSA farm, and Target, depending on what other errands I have.

Once a week for a big shop, but I end up stopping in the small market that is on my way home almost every day because I always forget to take something out of the freezer for dinner. And my freezer is full!

There are two of us in our household - we find it works out better both in terms of expenditure and wastage to go a few times a week. Since we started that, we have far less food going out of date than we did when we did one 'big shop' a week! (I think we just got all giddy and greedy with those whole "buy for the week and what if there's a zombie invasion/just in case" purchases!!).

Costco once a month, grocery about twice a week. We go through produce here at rates that are not to be believed.

4 or 5 times a week. I don't like to have to plan out a week's worth of food, so it's more enjoyable for me to just go to the store more often.

It really depends on the week for me. Some weeks I go 5 times, some weeks I don't go at all. I usually have an idea what I'm going to be eating for at least a week but until I actually start cooking it can change drastically.
I have a fully stocked pantry, fridge and freezer and could eat very well for several months without shopping at all.

I'd say most weeks I only go once. There are weeks when it seems I'm there every other day. I try to avoid that because I impulse shop too often and spend way more money.

Once. And if there is a weather emergency we have plenty to get by for a week or three.
I do run to the next town sometimes to get produce or if we decide on something last minute.

I go once a week for weekly groceries, I don't use much prepared food and I can't imagine I could go any longer than a week without needing fresh vegetables. I will have my husband stop maybe once in the middle of the week for another veg or fresh rolls or bread. He works right by a grocery store, so it easy for him to stop. I am curious how anyone could shop once a month. Do you buy a lot of frozen vegetables and fruits that keep, like apples? Or do you do the nice a month cooking?

average is 3 or 4 times. I do one big trip once a week and a couple small ones, usually to replenish the milk, bananas and other produce.

I visit a grocery store maybe 6-8 times a year.
I hate grocery shopping, so I order mine online - I often order them on my iPad in bed on A Saturday morning, and the nice delivery driver brings them all the way into my kitchen a few hours later. Perfect!
I order them once a week.

We do our big shopping every two weeks. I'd say I only stop in about once in between.

Perfect! I order them once a week. We don't have this service here ... I love shopping online so I'd probably enjoy grocery shopping that way but I will admit that I do like to pick my own produce and meat Ok, hell, I'll just admit that I go to the grocery store everyday because I like it

Big shopping, once every two weeks. Then, every 3 or 4 days for random things that run out. This is my family

We have also had problems with the bread growing mold. Next time I buy a loaf, half will go in the freezer. Can't stand wasting food.

I don't. I loathe shopping. I buy online and get it delivered every 10 days or so and we have a farm van that comes round with fresh fruit and veg. My butcher is the father of a girl who works for me and he delivers too. I probably set foot in a store once every six months. When I worked in town I would probably pop in every couple of days.

Usually once a week. Sometimes twice if we need to go back or we forgot something. I actually like to shop, but I just don't have the time to do it every day. As little as possible works for me.
