Ugh, mine does that too, and it sucks. Or, the paper isn't priced at all so I'm surprised when I get up to the register and find I have a huge stack of patterned paper that is 1.29 a sheet.

I was able to get it off, took some scraping and rubbing. I think I will say something though...good idea! I go to a monthly class there, led by the manager. She's pretty approachable.
The stickers on the back of Bazzill bug me. I have had some leave an oily looking residue if I didn't remove them soon after purchase.

That is insane! I'm surprised they can stay in business with crappy attitudes AND messing up their own products that are for purchase.

That's really dumb. (Although I'm jealous you have an LSS to kvetch about. Ours have all disappeared.)

There is a product out there, not sure if it STILL is, because I've had mine forever. It's called Un-du adhesive remover. You can use it to remove stickers, tape, photo squares, etc. and it doesn't damage the paper or photo. They demo'ed totally saturating a photo to show how it won't harm it. I only have about 1/3 of my bottle left, so I hope they still have it. Anyway, if they won't stop putting stickers on, you can get it all the way off with that product. It comes with a scraper attached.
eta: It's called The Scrapper's Solution by Un-du

I've worked at four LSS's and probably been in 30 at least and I've never seen that. It's paper for crying out loud! You don't put a sticker on paper especially every piece of paper someone buys there! I've never heard such a thing!! I'm still just scratching my head over it. I would tell the owner or manager in a heartbeat that I have to buy my paper online because of the price stickers. It's ridiculous!

There is no excuse for putting the price sticker on the paper instead on the border strip that will be cut off. The LSS where I shop doesn't put price stickers on papers.

How bizarre! Why would they even put a price sticker on a sheet of paper? Surely they don't put one on every single piece of paper in the store??? Why wouldn't they put a price on the shelf instead? SMH

I think they are aiming to place them on the border strip, but just going too quickly and missing. The paper I first posted was from Nov 2013, I checked my recent purchases and they are still doing the same thing. I'll ask them about it when I go to my next class there (July 24) and let you all know what they say. I bought all these papers at the end of June...still doing the stupid price tag thing...

But even then, those borders look like they could be used.

Yes, you could use part of the border strip...the half that you don't see has all the manufacturer info. I am able to get the price stickers off and they haven't messed up the paper, it's just a pain in the butt to remove them.

I don't even understand why they bothered. They're all the same price so they must have some standard pricing policies, and there's no scan bar on them so it's not a technological requirement of their register/scanner. Makes no sense at all.

I will ask when I go back there on the 24th and let you all know their reasoning!

Definitely NOT okay...especially on a $1 sheet of paper! I'd almost expect that from a store who knew nothing about scrapbooking, but from an LSS? No.

That doesn't even make sense! They should know better.
I hope your LSS is reasonable and stops putting price tags on paper. I'm sure you're not the only customer annoyed by this.

That would drive me bonkers! I am also the anal shopper that checks corners of paper before buy go. If crease or folded, no good to me.

who's idea was that?! I can't imagine a fellow scrapbooker putting a price tag sticker on the paper.

The manager is a scrapper! She shares her projects with our class all the time. But, I bet she gets her paper before the price stickers go on it!

I am very fussy about my papers. There is no way I would even buy those papers! I hope she listens to you and stops this madness.

I havent seen price tags on paper before, either. The LSS I go to has a sign on the wall stating how much their paper is. If its a specialty paper they write the price with a pencil on the border.

Not only annoying, but bizarre. I have never seen a price sticker on a piece of paper at an LSS before. Usually there is a sign with the price for one sided/double sided/speciality papers. I haven't either. Idiots! Do they think it will just peel off or you're going to cover it? When I worked at an LSS, we marked our's either on the back if there was no strip or we marked the price in the strip. But, we also had a sign that said the price of PP.

I've seen that on paper on a couple of occasions and I Hate it! It is really hard to remove price stickers from paper. Here is my method (doesn't work very well on textured cardsock): heat for a few seconds using either a blowdryer or an embossing heat gun, then while it's still warm, gently run a razor blade/exacto knife blade under the sticker to scrape it off. Doesn't always work, but it's worth a try. There's also the Un-do adhesive remover that I think is still being sold.

I agree, very annoying, but can you try Undu to take the rest of the price tag off? It's a miracle worker

All that keeps coming to my mind is one of the Tanner girls (Stephanie?) saying "How rude!"...but that may just show my age.

Another vote for Un-du: that stuff can get any residue off without wrecking your papers.

This thread is giving me the vapors. Those pictures stress me out and it's not even my paper. WHY??? Why would anyone do that? My sentiments exactly! Another think that grosses me out is when I have a stack of paper and the cashier LICKS HER FINGERS to pick it up!!! I have asked them to please not do that and they get all huffy!!
