So annoying...if they could have just shifted it down to the bottom a bit. Why put the darn price sticker on the paper? Just venting...I know they do it because it's quicker. But, it sure is a pain to remove them. UPDATE:New pics - from my purchases there in June...the above pictures were of paper I bought in November 2013 - I wanted to see if they were still putting the stickers on the paper instead of the border strip...it looks like they are aiming for the border strip (at least in the first pic.) I'll be there again on 7/24 for a class and ask the manager about it.

Wow, my LSS doesn't put stickers on paper at all. Is this common?

Not only annoying, but bizarre. I have never seen a price sticker on a piece of paper at an LSS before. Usually there is a sign with the price for one sided/double sided/speciality papers.

Never seen a place put stickers on paper. I would go back and complain actually. Bazzil does that crappy thing where they label each piece of paper, but it's the back of cardstock, not a part of a double sided sheet! That's a ridiculous practice, IMO

But you shouldn't damage a product just to put a price on it. We handwrite ours on the barcode strip with a pencil. Takes forever, but does the trick!

That's bizarre. I've been to A LOT of LSSs and I have *never* seen price tags on paper like that. (heck, I used to work in an LSS) Why? ?? *SO* unbelievably unnecessary.

I've been to several that don't put prices on things AT ALL. That's annoying as heck to me! I go in with knowing that I am spending x amount of dollars and this totally messes me up. And I hate to keep asking how much something is!

That's just lazy. The one store left by me puts stickers on, because they don't have a barcode scanner, but every single piece either has it on the back (if single sided) or on the border strip, carefully folded over so it's ONLY on the border strip!

Wouldn't it be just as quick (and much less annoying) to use a rubber stamp? I'm thinking of those little snap together things that Karen Foster used to sell... I think I'd probably say something. Maybe they're trying to boost the sales of UnDu, LOL!

I would take it back and say you need another piece cause that one is ruined. That is the dumbest thing I have ever heard of.

Tracie, I'd do that too, but given the cliquey attitude of some employees and owners I would feel like they'd label "me" the problem. As a group, LSS owners haven't exactly been cognizant of customer service.
Don't slam me- I've had experience with some wonderful stores, but we all know there are more than area that contributed to their own demise.

I haven't seen price stickers on paper in forever! We have a POS system and just scan bar codes. Prices are posted for customers near the paper area. So sad your pretty paper is ruined.

The only papers I've ever seen with price stickers are the specialty ones in plastic sleeves. I would take that sheet back. If no one ever complains they won't realize the problem.

I have never seen my LSS do this. Really what are they thinking you paid for double sided paper and now one side is damaged!?!

wow, ya we don't mark our paper either. We tell our customers our paper is on average $.89 with a few at $.69 to $.99 unless it's a specialty paper.
I thought about marking each paper by hand, but for most people, it wouldn't be worth it. I think our budget scrappers just figure $1 per paper and are pleasantly surprised they stay within their budget.

Would "goo be gone" ruin it? It's pretty greasy. I've used it on fabric before and it was fine, but not sure about paper.
I think I would take it back and exchange it. The owner may not be aware that an employee is doing this. Is all their paper like that?

I've never shopped at a store that put a price tag on the paper. I'd be really irritated by that.

Just WOW! If they have to use the price tag, maybe they should fold in half and stick on the edge of the paper. No other customers complain about this at that LSS? Maybe "kindly" suggest that they pencil the price on the bar code, saves money on those tags and takes as much time or less to do. OY! Good luck with that!

I would not have bought it. I would have taken a piece to the cash and told them that I love the paper and would have bought some except they ruined it with the price sticker. And no I would not put the paper back but would leave it on the counter.

Now that just makes me mad. Take it back there is no excuse for that. Really that paper cost 99 cents and they do that.
