I'm at an age (in my thirties) that I think I need all over make-up to look put together, but I haven't found a foundation/all over the face make up that sits right on my skin because I have peach fuzz on my face and jawline. I feel like a hairy beast. Does anyone have any recommendations as to what to use? I feel like any powder I use just accentuates the hair. I'm not able to wax my whole face. Can't take that much pain, and don't want to spend that much money on hair removal. I need help.

Seriously, dry shave that stuff. It will NOT grow back thick and dark - that's an old wive's tale. Just take a little razor and lightly shave in the direction of hair growth. It will come back still very light and fine, and you just shave it again.

I do dry shave with a small little electric (battery op) razor made for women's facial hair. Hair still comes back. Still noticeable. Thanks for the advice, though.

It bugs me though, so I got up the nerve to try and shave it, and it works. It does NOT come back thicker or darker. I have peach fuzz on my jawline too, but I use both liquid and powder foundation and it doesn't seem to accentuate it.
eta: I guess that doesn't help if you have darker hair though, beyond just staying on top of it. Have you tried a depilatory? Maybe one of those might work for you...like Nair, or I'm sure there's more out there. You might want to look into the NoNo hair remover. It's on TV and I don't know if it really works or not, but they show women using it on their face.

Well of course it's going to come back - shaving doesn't remove it permanently. An actual razor will give you a closer shave than an electric.

I do wear make-up all over and I am starting to notice the hair as well (late thirties). I am considering buying a No No for hair removal. My co-worker swears by it and brought it in for us to try. Seemed to work ok but it is expensive.

Does anyone know if they actually work like they say they do? No pain?

That smiley is priceless! I'm almost 40. People still talk to me even though I don't wear makeup and have peach fuzz. Though it doesn't bother me.

Mine only bothers me when I get up close and personal with the mirror. I thought I liked Bare Escentuals mineral veil. Then I bought their pressed powder version of it and I like it WAY more. (Get the translucent.) If you don't need a ton of coverage and just want something to act as a base, try a BB cream or something similar. I liked Tarte's a lot, and you can get a small travel size from Sephora/Ulta for about $12. If you live near Sephora, go ask them for a sample. But I also really like this product. I am pretty fair, and this comes out of the tube pretty dark, but it smoothed out and blended in quite well. It's very comfortable to wear, IMO. And it's a lot cheaper than a full-on BB cream.

I dry shave mine. Was actually just realizing today that it is time to do it again. I only use face powder, no other foundation, and the shaving is important!
