Sponsors are dropping, but anyone who wants to stand up for victims should keep contacting as many as possible. Evidently, the Duggars noticed and are now urging their fans to contact sponsors also. The thought of them having any support makes me want to puke. Decent people need to stand up for those girls. some good news

Now I just want to cry. Or maybe punch something. This is exactly the kind of exploitation that needs to stop people

I really do not think you should be able to put your kids on reality tv without paying them as minors in trust. Are the adult Duggar kids who appear on the show paid separately? At least they could save up to be free.

The problem with that is in patriarchal Christianity, it won't be the girls controlling the money, it will be their husbands, who honestly, are only celebrity because of their wives. Honestly, why are people so focused on getting sponsors to drop their advertising? Why not just boycott TLC, their shitty programming and their shitty judge of character? They know how to pick assholes.

But if there are no ratings, there are no advertisers and there are no shows. It really should be two fold, I suppose. Not that avoiding tlc is ever a problem for me! lol

It really should be two fold, I suppose. Not that avoiding tlc is ever a problem for me! lol I totally agree with you in theory. I don't ever watch TLC-all they've had on for years is trash. But reality sucks really bad, because evidently, there are shit-tons of people who lap this kind of trash up. Look at all the Kate plus whatever threads there were over the years at 2ps. There are still tons of Housewife, Bachelor, honeybooboo, Kardashian, and on and on threads. People inexplicably tune into this garbage. Even on 2ps and here, there were plenty of Duggar threads, and LOTS of ppl crawled out of the woodwork to shriek how wonderful and wholesome the family was, and that any of us saying it was nuts just needed to shut up and watch the show and how dare we judge a "good, Christian" family. You can't fix stupid, and lots of people apparently love watching stupid, because those networks are cleaning up making stupid people famous. The only way to make an impact is right in the trashy network's moneymaker. And that's sponsors.
