My niece gave up night shade vegetables and believes that has helped her.

I use Denorex and Nizoral shampoos to help with my psoriasis - Denorex should be fine, stay away from the Nizoral.

Yeah I believe it! I am not pro it by any means I am just saying what worked for her. I think it's an urban legend to be honest but then again if it works for her who knows.

I had a prescription Nizoral, that was what gave me auras. I also have sensitivity to scents, etc. I tried Free and Clear, works for awhile and stops. Any scented lotions, soaps, etc are no gos That is why I said, "stay away from the Nizoral." Denorex doesn't have scents - all you will smell is the coal tar, trust me. I thought that you wanted suggestions?

My dermatologist treats mine with a topical solution called Clobestasol Propionate when I have flare ups. Then I use T-Sal Shampoo a couple of times a week to help keep it under control. The Clobestasol works much better than any of the special shampoos I tried. Clobestasol solution is also what I use for the worst of it. I alternate between nizoral (ketoconazole), selsun blue (selenium sulfide, I think), and the T-gel (coal tar). T-sal has salicylic acid (never used it, not sure how it smells). There are very few of these things that have no scent to them.... My dermatologist had given me samples of shampoos from a company called DHS. I think this was the one that I liked... if that's a complete ingredient list on the website, it doesn't have any added fragrance. (Their tar shampoo was WORSE than T-gel, in my opinion.) Perhaps your dermatologist can give you some samples. (If you don't have a dermatologist, you should have one.)

I use T-Gel every couple of weeks and it seems to help.

T-Gel has worked best for me. It is expensive, but Costco will special order it at the pharmacy for a good price.

Tea tre oil: put a squirt in every shampoo bottle. It makes it less bubbly, but will clear up scalp psoriasis & keep lice away!
