you and me both, sister! pretty pretty double sided paper from Websters Pages or textured paper from Authentique or Carta Bella.... Authentique has a really cute line out called Playful. It has great quotes (Dr. Suess) and gorgeous colors. I am doing a few graduation papers with this line. I realize I am not helping the cause here. No....you are not. Now I have to go off and google.

Tonight I cleaned out my linen closet. It is a long closet about ten feet long and six shelves high. I was merciless. I cleaned out five boxes of items I hadn't used in years. The floor is now completely empty and the other shelves are much more roomy. I plan on putting all of my extra paper pads in there. I have a lot (over a 100) for page kits that I need to make this year. I can just see my husband's face when he sees this little gem of an idea.

ndmomrn I am impressed you have used up your kits! I just loved getting a package of scrappy stuff every month, but they started to stack up, so I stopped subscribing. Right now I am "suffering" because it's all packed up in the basement due to a remodeling project. I guess it will all feel new when I get it back out the end of July.

I moved last summer and I purged a lot. I still have a lot and I now live near a hobby lobby and Tuesday morning and even the Joanns isn't bad. I have added to my stash this year. I really need to start scrapping again and start putting a dent in my stash
Good luck. Moving scrapbook supplies is not fun.

..."I like to be prepared."
Me, too. The thought of running out of my favorite adhesives is enough to make me break out in hives
ETA - I don't know how I messed up the quote above...
See now to me, adhesive, blades & page protectors don't count. You can't use up your stash if you can't stick it, cut it & put it in a book, right? I was a member of the Frozen Peas on the old board and I climbed out of that freezer more times than I care to admit. But like you ladies, I really could buy nothing but what I previously mentioned and happily scrap for years. OK. I'm in. I don't have any crops planned for the end of the year, so no vendors trying to lure me in like the witch in Hansel & Gretel. If I buy my adhesive, etc. online instead of the crack den Hobby Lobby, I should be OK. I can do this. I can do this. I can do this . . . ETA: I reserve the right to purchase the paper pad I am in search of on the FSOT board. I have been looking since January, and if someone miraculously comes up w/it, I have to get it!!

I don't have myself on any self imposed shopping freeze, but since I haven't been scrapbooking very much I guess I've just sorta lost the urge to shop. I even cancelled my kit subscription a few months ago because I just wasn't using them and it seemed like a waste of money. Between a move 2.5 years ago and normal purging I feel really good about the amount of supplies I have.

I decided that I'm not going to buy anything until my room is cleaned up. I just went to a big crop on the weekend so my room is now trashed.
That should maybe take me to January..lol

tiffanytwisted - Oh, I agree - I'll have to buy adhesives! I may have to buy albums, too. I am not buying paper, embellishments, Thickers, etc. I have a 3 day crop retreat in November. I think I'll save some of my new collections for that. I kind of forgot about the crop coming before I started my self-imposed freeze! I was in the 2Peas freezer, too. I can't remember the name of the awesome Pea that started it. Do you?

I'm another sucker for the lure of the scrapping crack dens lol. I guess I'll never be called a "frozen" pea, I'm more of a "slushy" pea (or on particularly good shopping days, a "baked" pea). I can resist certain things for only so long before succumbing to the temptation (see June TM thread . Fortunately, those houses of scrapping repute are all a bit of a drive for me, and I do scrap, so I am using up some of my abundance. To those on a quest to be "frozen," may the Force be with you!

I highly suspect that our real hobby is not scrapbooking, but collecting supplies. Just having something cute in my possession is a win for me! But, I promise to start working more on the actual scrapbooking part! This is my situation to a tee. I am still buying here and there but I seriously can't remember the last time I sat down and scrapbooked. When we moved a few months ago my husband gave me clear instructions that we were not moving that many boxes of craft supplies again. I don't have a huge stash by any stretch but when you have scrapbooking, stamping and fabric supplies it all adds up.

I got a little baked during the month of May! My rational is that I can justify it if I'm using more than I'm buying so the create 50 pages Before buying works for me!

950nancy I offer to stop scrapbooking and watch all his sporting events on tv with him, so we can talk! That shuts him up - haha. I live with three men- my hubby and a 19 and 21 year old. Sometimes you can see the fear in their eyes when I come down stairs while they are watching a major sporting event. I almost always ask an asinine question on purpose. The other night during the hockey game I asked what quarter they were in. My kids played almost every sport. I know a fair amount about sports. I love to see their dumbfounded looks. My hubby knows I am kidding (for the most part). I just enjoy the sport of being their mother. A girl has to find her fun where she can. They are never sorry to see me go back to scrapping.

I need to join you guys - I just looked at the CC and seems I've been on a bit of a spending spree lately. I sent my SU Blendabilities back so got a good amount of credit for new stuff out of the catty so that that coming in the next few weeks. As of right now, what I was able to exchange for, was everything I wanted out of the catty. Now just to find the time and energy to get upstairs. This working 2 jobs is really cutting into my me time and when I am off, I'm so exhausted I just don't want to go up there.

I had time to kill at Target tonight waiting for prescriptions to be filled. I had a 6x6 AC paper pad in my hands, but I PUT IT BACK! I really do NOT need it and I can't fall off the wagon this early...

I just went through two months worth of cc statements and I am so ashamed of what I have spent on scrapbooking stuff. It is ridiculous. I have unsubscribed to ally kit clubs and will rejoin one once I get some bills payed off. I had hubby go in and change all the passwords to my online shopping so I am not attempted in anyway and gave him my credit cards to keep the temptation away. I have been out of control. Now I need to stay home and use my stuff. Thus I need to change my routine and get out of the shopping mode.
