Yes I would and yes I have spent (significantly) more than $900 on a bag. But I'm not talking about a trendy bag that I will use for a season or until it falls apart. I'm talking about a classic bag of the highest quality that I will use for the rest of my life and then likely pass on to my daughter. Which may seem a little odd to many people. But I have a very good friend who has likely spent over $75,000 on bags in the last five years. Yes, we are weird like that ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/Q_m8lDOvc_3Le3r1GKdf.jpg)

If I had endless money, yes, I'd buy a luxury bag for $900 or even more. But not that bag, it's ugly.

No. I'm just not into purses.
I have been carrying the same purse for 12 years - I paid $25 for it at a Bass outlet store. It still looks brand new - leather looks new, no broken zippers, no loose threads. You can buy a purse that lasts without spending hundreds of dollars. There are just too many other things I would prefer to spend my money on.

Take off one zero and I *might* consider it.
ETA: Okay, I have considered it, and even at $90 I still wouldn't buy it!

My friend has a sister who is NOT very rich and she paid $1500 for a purse. She called it a splurge. I called it stupid, but I am not into purses. so that makes a difference.

If I had the money that I could buy a purse like that and not blink an eye because I was so wealthy, I would because I would want to enjoy nice things. However, I can't imagine it for myself in this life.
Maybe you can get close to the cousin soshe thinks of you next season when she wants to get rid of the purse! That's the best I could hope for.

Probably not for that purse but one that is a bit larger and more functional for me then, yes I would. If it's timeless and classic I will hang on to it for a while.

Not for that particular one but if I lots of money I'd pay $900 for one I did like.

I'm not a purse gal, so for me, no. However, I'm a "never say never" gal, so if I ever won one of those ridiculous 75 kabillion dollar lotteries and I knew someone who was just so, so in love with a $900.00 purse, then perhaps I might opt to buy it for them. ![:D](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/grin.png)

I like the Harveys Seatbelt bags and those csn be around $100, but they last forever (because they're seatbelts!). They can go in the washer too.

Amen, sister. Amen. Also- " I'm not a purse ho" is a new one on me...and I'm a little surprised by that statement. ![:|](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/plain.png) I don't really understand the judgement in threads like this. I can't count how many times I've read "It's none of your business" about every little thing here. But talk about a pricey handbag, and it's open season on all who love them. I think the OP looking up how much the bag costs is more interesting than someone actually spending that kind of money on the purse. I love a good purse. I have many good purses. That's MY thing. I don't expect anyone to pay for them or admire them or compliment me on them. I buy them because I love them. My husband and sister buy them for me because they know how much I love them. I appreciate them and I take care of them and I enjoy them. If purses are not your thing- that's great. I'm not judging you for your $3 Goodwill purse or your $40 Kohls purse. A purse is purely a functional thing for some people. I get that. So why....WHY... would you judge me for my preference? We appreciate different things. We choose to spend money on different things. Does either of us have to be wrong or misguided or ridiculous? Why do people need to defend their preference by slamming someone else's?

I would never spend $900 on any purse. I'd be hard pressed to spend $90. I just don't care about purses.

I would totally spend $900 on a sweater. I love sweaters. Purses, for me, are strictly functional items. Same with my car. I don't care if it's pretty or sporty or has bells & whistles. It just has to fit my wheelchair in the back & get me from A to B. Now, I'd happily drop $900 on an organizational unit that helped me keep my scrapbook supplies organized, or gave me a place to put my Hummel figurines. I'd totally splurge on this cool diecutting machine I've seen at the local stamp store. I might even spend that kind of money on a gorgeous pair of gloves, if I was guaranteed they'd keep my hands warm. Not a purse though. A purse is just to hold my keys, medical stuff, and wallet.

I love to buy new purses but I can't imagine ever spending $900 for one. If I had enough money to afford it... I don't know. If I was that wealthy, I'd probably spend money on things I'd never dreamed of buying.

I wouldn't pay $25 for that purse because it's not my style.
However, if money were no object, I would buy what I wished to carry.

No. I have about 5 cute purses that I wear with different outfits on the weekend and $40 was the most I've paid. My everyday purse was a gift but I am sure it was less than $75 and I've been using it for more than 10 years. Even if I was wealthy I won't pay that much and I won't pay to sport some designer name. That's just not me.

I would not spend 900 bucks on any purse. That's around the cost of a new washing machine or dryer, for heaven's sake!

This past January I spent $1000 on a new Burberry work / laptop-type bag for myself. (Well, DH got it for me, technically, but the money all comes from the same account and I badgered him for it, so....) I would do it again, too, because I love it so much and use it every day.
But I would not spend that kind of money on that bag, no. Not even close.

I have a few of these and always get compliments on them. They have a good resale value too. As for the original question, I wouldn't pay $900 for that purse, but if I could afford it, I think I could spend that much on a purse I loved. On the other hand, I've never seen a purse that expensive that I loved. Jewelry on the other hand...
