I do use it but probably not as much as I could. So what did you learn then?

Not as often as I did when she was "brand new"--I do use the "what song is that" feature often.

Well, I dictate all of texts, and I think that's Siri; maybe not. Love dictating!

I have what is, I think, the windows phone equivalent and no, I don't use it now. I did initially but it wasn't straightforward so I didn't get au fait with it and forgot about it.

I don't really use that feature as I just never really saw the benefit. What am I missing?

I mostly use her on my phone to set timers, usually when cooking. Instead of unlocking my phone then opening the alarm app and selecting the timer option, I can just hold down the home button and set the timer with Siri, and she always seems to understand that request. I add things to my food shopping list too. I've not had that much success doing other things with Siri, but I love hearing what others do and keep trying. I'm sure it could be more useful to me than it currently is.

No. Siri does not speak Southern and I finally got tired of working with it. I wish they had a way to do voice recognition with it so that we could 'train' her (though my Siri is a British guy!). I think it is supposed to get better the more you use it, so it does have some sort of learning ability.

Yes but sometimes Siri annoys me, and isn't always accurate when giving directions. She tried to send us to Calcutta India, when we were in Northern California.. I do like that Siri will call someone in my phone list if I ask, otherwise the features are kinda annoying to me. This is my second iPhone, so it isn't that much different from what I had before.

Never!
I don't need anyone to help me.
DH and DS use "her" all the time...
I think they like asking a woman to do things for them : )

Sadly, I'm technology challenged too. Siri and I have been together for quite some time, but we don't really know each other Yesterday I upgraded from my iPhone5 to a 6 and she still sounds the same. I'd love to use more of the features on my phone so if anyone has any tips on the iPhone 6, please share!

I use Siri. Drives my kids nuts. They can text a million characters per minute but I can't. So much faster telling Siri to do things for me

I like to say "Siri, take me home." And she gives me directions to get home.
DS likes to ask Siri if she will go out with him. She rotates three hilarious responses.

I love Siri and use her to write/read texts, find me stores/restaurants, set up timers and alarms, dial for me, tell me the name of the song and who's singing it, etc.

I do not use her. My son (19) has a love hate relationship with her. He uses her all of the time. I like that he is curious, but I tease him about being lazy.

I think it is supposed to get better the more you use it, so it does have some sort of learning ability. What else does she do now? When you activate Siri, there is a ? in the bottom left corner. Tap on that, and a list of example commands comes up.

No, never. My grandkids like to torture her at times. I haven't found a actual use for her yet.

My favorite Siri tip - when you are plugged into a power source, you can just say "Hey Siri" and follow with instructions. No need to push the button on the iPhone to talk. I use this ALL OF THE TIME when I am driving and thinking of something, e.g., adding a item to shopping list or checking to see what we are doing tomorrow. Instructions on how to set it up - www.imore.com/how-enable-and-use-hey-siri-iphone-and-ipad

i had to disable the hey siri, she would start asking what I said when the TV was on or my daughter and I were talking in the car.
I use it a lot . To all people, and for directions, local restaurants etc.

I don't ever use her but my daughter (8 years old) talks to her all the time and really thinks she is a friend or something. Siri tells her stories, answers her endless questions, and tells her jokes. It is a step above an imaginary friend!

I can ask her for directions supposedly and she will get me there. My DS asked me why I didn't use it when I was trying to find a restaurant the other day. I was like, huh?

I ask her to do things like: Set a timer for 20 minutes Remind me to pick up the package at 4pm today Google the phone number for xxx (usually a business) I use Siri all the time too. For setting an alarm, reminders, who sings a song, and directions. I changed my name in my husbands iPhone ( for fun ) because he uses Siri to call me when he is at work. He had to say "Siri call my fabulous wife", he thought it was hilarious.
