This challenge is for those who scrap slowly and need encouragement to keep scrapping all month or those who want a little encouragement to continue scrapping. It is great for those new to Challenges and is a fun place to come chat with other Pokey scrappers. 1. Post a layout each week, or four layouts per month. These can be posted in the thread or in the gallery. If you post in the gallery, be sure to come to the thread and tell us you posted and tell us the name of the layout so we can find it. You can copy the URL from the gallery and paste it directly into your thread for a link. 2. This challenge can be combined with any other challenges and can be paper, digital or hybrid scrapping. These can be cards, layouts or altered items. 3. Please comment on the work of others on the thread as your time allows. We all love comments on our layouts. 4. Have fun with this! This should be a "no pressure" challenge. Just post what you finish whether it is one layout or more than four. Come chat with the group as time permits. We love to welcome new members . There are no prizes for this challenge, just a chance to enjoy the works of other Pokey Peas Refugees. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

Cindy, I hope Bob got your book shelves put together and I'm hoping you have a sunny day today! Our weather has been wonky. This is the hottest June in record. It's been 100 or over all week and most of last week. Crazy.
I have 2 pages finished but not scanned. When I dig down to my scanner, I'll scan and post. This room is a nightmare.
Waving hi to all the Pokeys!

I know what you mean about digging thru to find things! Mine is that way too! It is the main floor dumping grounds! Bob did get the bookcases up and I have started putting things in them! They look nice-I will take a pic when I get it back together! Rain or high temps still keep us indoors! Nylene I love those pages about Sammie! I even save d them as favs as I may have to lift them!!! The kids are in basketball camp this week for four mornings! I keep telling them they will be the future LeBron James as it is his school's coach teaching the camp! well I need to go back there and do some sorting BBL

Thanks for your nice comments, Cindy. Your grands are so fortunate to be taught by LeBron's coach. I want to see them playing in the NBA! I hope they are enjoying themselves at Camp. Sammie is at Girl Scout Camp and loving it even though Angie says it's 106 degrees. I'm glad they hose them off and make sure they drink water all day. Tomorrow is her last day.
Kelly, how is the sewing and painting going? We want photos.

Just thought I would let you know I am moving along in my scraproom at a good pace. I actually sat and got my stamps organized today- a chore I have been putting off for quite a while! What is nice about what I am doing is I am jogging my memory about what I have in there to work with. Another day or so and I should have it to where I can function in there! Nylene as far as the basket ball camp...I am glad it is over! They have been giving the kids ice cream at the end if each session so then they eat a late lunch which also affects their appetites for dinner! Maggie enjoyed it, Bobby however had a bit of a bully to deal with. But after a phone call things changed and he was a much happier player! well I have to get off of here so will talk to you later.

Cindy, I'd be interested in how you organized your stamps. That's something I really need to do. I have spent time organizing my punches and made a little notebook with a sample of each punch. I also put a "punchie" of a heart, flower, leaf or whatever on the front of the drawer that holds that type of punch. It has made them easier to find. Now to think about my stamps!

I will be glad to do that to share with whoever but it will have to wait until tomorrow! I am feeding 9 for dinner and the fireworks that the country club behind us shoots off tonight! Having taco salad, and ice cream cones for dessert! Your welcome to join us-about 6:30PM Edst LOL

Hey ladies! I hope you all had a nice Friday. Also, Happy 4th of July (early) My day was ok and I was even on my art table. So cool to see that part of me again. I know it has been like FOREVER since I shared some pics so today is the day. Here is a sample of the marker doodle art I have been going. I have picked different words and have fun designing and coloring.

Also, here is the t-shirt I played around with. I loved how my art transferred and I even added some paint details to it. I plan to do more of these. So fun!

Nylene- Thanks for starting our new thread. I hope you are feeling better from your fall. My sewing has come to a halt until next week. I ordered some fabric and can't wait to get it. I want to make a pillow cover. So I am excited to try it out.
Cindy- Boy, you are going to be a cooking queen with all those folks coming over. Can I put my order in now? LOL! Have a great time. We will be having some good food too and hopefully taking in a fireworks show.

Good Morning and Happy Fourth of July to everyone! I pretty much used Jennifer Mc Guire's system for organizing my stamps. Here is a link to that video- Jennifer McGuire clear stamp storage I used pocket bags that I found on clearance a year or two ago at Staples made by Martha Stewart but they discontinued them I am about out of them so I am going to order the Avery Elle Stamp Storage bags that Jennifer uses in her video as you can order them from several places online-Walmart, JoAnns etc. I have mine in a container I got from JoAnn's on sale but you could use a photo storage box or the fridge bins that Jennifer uses. or any other container that they will fit in. I am going to add these to the gallery as they would not post here. there are four photos and the link is here: photosKelly I am loving that avatar and your work you displayed in the gallery is fab! Tell us how you did it!!!! Be back later to see what you gals are up to today. It is my day off and I am going to enjoy it. No plans for doing anything other than play in my scrap room!

Cindy, your scraproom looks amazing. How long will it take you to get here to help me with my mess? Thanks for the link to the Stamp Storage. I think I'm going to do that too. I need to order some pockets and do a bit of organizing and purging of old, old stuff. Thanks so much for linking us up. I finished a layout using paper I bought when I was with you, Cindy, at Scrapfest. Do you realize that was 5 years ago? I hadn't even opened the collection, but had fun using it. I wanted to participate in the July Stash challenge here. The paper lace I used as trim was something I found in mom's craft materials after her passing in 2008. So this is OOOLD stuff. But I like the results so I'm glad I held on to it to use with this photo of Eric and Taunya. It's fitting since today is his B-day. www.flickr.com/photos/129156123@N06/18852974354/in/pool-2peasrefugees/

Nylene believe me my room was a disaster when I started also. It is a lot of work but the payoff is worth it. I wish I was close enough to help you! But I am sure we would talk more then work! LOL One day I am going to get in my car and drive out there! I am still not done but I am done enough to scrap a page in there. Maggie is going to spend the night so maybe the two of us will scrap tonight. She has some photos here she wants to do and I have the photos from the fishing derby ready to go. I may teach her how to use the Sil too-she does not know that yet. LOL! Your page is beautiful and no way has it been 5 years. That was fast and time seems to be flying by faster and faster to me.
The stamps did not take a lot of time-it was a nice sitting job the other day when I was in a-fib. If we don't scrap tonight I will be sorting thru paper. I have a lot of kits I am going to break down and merge with my other pp. Leaving it as kits it is not getting used One thing fun about this is I am seeing what I have after a year of digi and then not doing much of anything at all. Ok enough for now!

Happy Monday! I hope your day and holiday was good. We had a nice, nice 4th of July weekend. I was even happily surprised to shop at a M's we rarely go to and find they had lots of stuff and we just about had the store to ourselves. So fun! I got some chipboard albums, a canvas bag I had been looking for and a few other things. We even stopped by Joann's that was right up the street from M's. So now I will have to try these two locations again. Thanks for the compliments on my new hair do and avatar. It is a fun style and great especially for Summer. Ok, how did I do the t-shirt and doodle art? First, the doodle art was made with just regular ole markers I have had for a while. The t-shirt was made using transfer paper I got from M's. Transfer Sheets I think I used this exact one. They have several kinds for light and dark colored t-shirts. All you do is print the picture on the paper and iron it on. Then, I added some painted accents and that was it. So neat huh? Now, I want to put all kinds of stuff on a t-shirt and bags. LOL! Pinterest had lots of ideas too. Cindy- Your room looks awesome! Can Nylene and I come and play there? LOL! I know you feel so good to have all that organization done. Great work! I have finally started reorganizing my craft area, too. It does look better and have a few more things to finish. I so need more space or less stuff. LOL! I vote for more space! Nylene- Yes, I am enjoying my new hair do. It is some work for sure but I do love it.

You ladies are welcome to scrap in my room anytime!!! Kelly your hair is darling! I like it both ways! I am going to get mine cut off again. I am just not happy with my hair longer. It never wants to do what I want and I was happier with it short as in my avatar! I was showing Maggie what all the Silhouette could do so today she is going to cut something. Will be back later!

Hey, Kelly, let's have a party in Cindy's pretty room! We'll have to have Maggie come over too so we can really have a girls-day.
Kelly, sorry to be so dense, but did you make the artwork and then scan it and print it right on the transfer paper, or did you do the artwork on the transfer paper. I think this would be a fun project for the girls for their "Decorate Your Duds" 4-H project. I love the way yours turned out.
Cindy, how did the Silhouette teaching go with Maggie. My guess is that with a little instruction and practice, she'll be designing, printing and cutting in no time. She has such a great teacher!
I have finished a couple more pages, but haven't scanned them yet. I'll do that soon. I have 2 more in the works. My BIG PROBLEM is that I clean up a section of my scraproom and clear off the table and I can't keep cleaning......I suddenly have all kinds of ideas and know just which photos to use....so I scrap and before I know it, the room looks just as bad as before!! I can't gripe though, cause at least I'm scrapping and happy!

There you go Nylene sounds good to me! You have to do what makes you happy!!!! LOL Maggie has not cut anything yet-she left with a cousin today and went to a cupcake decorating party or something like that. She came home with 2 cupcakes that looked real cute. So maybe tomorrow! OI am tired tonight and my legs are bothering me so I think I am going to sit and sort thru those kits. Looking forward to seeing those pages Nylene! BBL!

Happy Thursday! Hope you are having a nice day. Last night we went to the park concert. They had the US Marine band play. Every Wednesday this Summer they will be featuring a different group and we really enjoy going. Last week they had a country band and folks were out there line dancing. That was fun to watch. Oh my goodness, I actually made a scrapping project! LOL! I got a chipboard album from M's recently and I wanted to make gift for my mom's birthday. I had started a long while ago trying to make a card for her and I didn't like the way it turned out. So when I saw the chipboard, I was like "This is what I need!" So I was able to use the pp from the original card & embellishments along with the new album and it turned out so pretty. She loved it and that made me so happy. I will share pics later, I promise! LOL! Nylene- The transfer is easy. I just selected a picture from my file and printed it onto the transfer paper. Then you iron the image on your t-shirt or whatever and peel the paper backing off and that is it. So you can print anything on this paper. It would be a fun project for your girls. I hope you all give it a try. Cindy- Thanks for the hair praise. I like it too. So you are going to cut yours? Did you ever use to where it long? I do love my long hair but wearing it curling it shrinks and gives me a shorter style without cutting it. So neat!

Thanks for the info about the transfer to the t-shirt. I understand now. So I could have the girls do some artwork, scan it and then print it on the transfer paper. I think we'd have to do any words backwards, wouldn't we? It sounds like fun. Your evening in the park sounds wonderful. I love the Marine band, in fact any big band. You are lucky to have that opportunity.
Can't wait to see what you made for your MIL. Photos please.
Cindy, good luck on organizing your kits and papers. That's another thing I need to do too. I need lots of organization in this room. I'm slowly getting through 9 years of Cub Scout things so that removes a lot of boxes!
Gotta run. I'll chat later.

Happy Friday! Hope you all are doing well today. I got some more organizing of my craft area to do. See Cindy, I am cleaning up too. Here is the chipboard album I made for my mom's birthday. Kelly Blog I have another one to make for my mil upcoming birthday, too. This one is a circle album so that will be a fun change. Nylene- Yeah, with words on your iron-on you have to mirror or turn the words backwards it on the computer so it will print straight on you t-shirt. Ron is going to help me figure this out when I have words on my art. Maybe one of your sil or dgd's can figure it out. Also, the band concert is so neat and I am looking forward to the next one. Well, off to see Nylene's pages and have a nice day all!

Hi Pokeys! I hope that you all are having a nice start to your weekend. I thought I would check in to see what you all are up to. It's nice to see that the Pokeys live on and that you are all still scrapping away. I did some scrapping last weekend, I'm trying to work on our photos from our trip to Florida last month. We took the kids to Universal Studios for a few days and to the beach, I've only been back for 3 weeks, but it feels longer than that. Griffin and Mal go back to school on the 29th, which still seems crazy soon. Grif will be headed to middle school, which seems impossible, Mallory will be a senior in high school, and Olivia is a senior in college. I continue to work away at my job, nothing new there. It's been 2 1/2 years since I became a CEO and I keep thinking that I'll eventually get some work/life balance happening again, but most of the time that is just wishful thinking...it's a good thing that my work is rewarding. Anywho, I just wanted to say "hi" to you lovely ladies. Hope you all have a happy weekend! Tina

Tina! It's so nice to "see" you. Can you believe it's been 5 years since we were at Scrapfest. I just opened a pack of paper I bought there and made a layout. I'm such a hoarder. I can't believe your kids have grown up so much. Mal graduating this year? Seems impossible. And it seems like Olivia just started college and Grif should still be in early elem. grades. Give them all a hug from me. I'm sure you are much loved at your job, but I'm glad you were able to get away to Florida. We would love to see the pages you have been working on. Post them here so we can ooo and aaaah. Take care and drop in anytime.

Nylene, It is hard to believe that it's been 5 years since I saw you in real life! I'm sure that I still have a bunch of photos from that trip that I need to scrap or get into an album. I'm really bad about finishing things. I need to upload some LO's, I'm really bad about doing that these days, my scanner died a while back, so I quit posting them. Anywho, I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
