I knew mine would be a complete fail as I had (have) no idea how to do a sexy look, so I never tried.
I absolutely love all of these photos and stories. This thread is fantastic!

I'm going to dig mine out. I got them for my husband when he was sent overseas. I still remember the day I had them done, and the letter I received back from him when he got them.

My mom and I did a shoot together. Lol. Terrifying pics, pretty sure didn't keep them. I can't really remember all the props/poses but similar to those posted, oh yeah I remember a motorcycle jacket but that's it. Lol. I'll have to dig about my pics.

Oh, I did worse. I went to a private photographer and had boudoir photos taken as a gift for my DH. I have destroyed most of the evidence. And no, I will not be posting evidence!

I don't think there is anything wrong with this and would love to do it for DH, who is deploying next week. Sadly, I don't have the time/resources to do it right now. I would hold onto those pics...when you look back at yourself in 10-20 years, you'll be glad you did it. ETA: I did glamour shots about 20 years ago and honestly, they're the best pictures I've ever had taken of me (including my wedding photos). I hate, hate, hate being in front of a camera and was very self conscious when I was younger. Glamours shots made me feel like a model and I really enjoyed it. I'll try to come back and post them later, if I can find them.

OMG, I had put that awfulness out of my mind! I had mine done in the 80's. I look horrid. There was so much goop on my hair it looked plastic. They were awful pictures. I sincerely hope they have all been destroyed. I know any that I had are long gone!

@trezmom me too- I VERY rarely am in the pic. I'm usually the one taking them. I don't take many . This is my first pic on here. lol. So it was easy to start scrapbooking cause I didn't have to be in the pics. I just wasn't crazy about the make up as I don't do make up even now. But it was fun to do the different outfits. It was so long ago 91-92 maybe?

I have to get my scanner back from my sister and will post mine. Went with my sister and two friends, also sisters. We had a great time, but our friends were much more photogenic than my sister and I, so the photographer was more interested in shooting them.

Oh...I'm quite certain they would do a fairy shot for you. I mean, if they'll do this one: They'll certainly do anything. MizIndependent, I used to LOVE unicorns (back in the day), and I think you may have just ruined them for me.

I'll play, this was taken in 1989. Omg---they did this to my hair too. They took a ton of bobby pins and pushed all the hair forward and out. This pic just brought back memories of all those pins and hairspray. Not to mention all the tulle the pinned all over me like a cloud.

I can't post mine because I destroyed them! My mum wanted them for my sister and I. The lady that did my hair and makeup had no idea how to make me look good. I think she followed the same procedure for everyone. I hated mine from the moment I saw it and mum insisted on hanging it in the house next to my sisters. Hers looked pretty good for the 90s really.
I should probably add that the worst photos were ones where she slicked my hair back smooth and I was wearing a turtleneck black thing. Oh god, I'm traumatised.

Okay, how is it that you all have managed to keep these photos after all these years? I had mine done in the early 90's and I have no idea where they are today. If I had mine, I sure would post it. I remember not being happy with how mine turned out. I was wearing an awful red jacket made of sequins with silver stripes and large hoop earrings. Hair was awful too of course!

I never did when I was younger, but I did use them for a boudoir photo shoot for my DH 10 yrs. ago. It was very tastfully and naurally done. No crazy hair, make-up and outfits for me. I can admit to wearing my hair like a lot of those photos, though. VERY big! LOL

I'll play, this was taken in 1989. you must be laying down in that pic, tho your face doesn't look it? your hair couldn't have been that gravity-defying that it stayed that way when you were upright?? either way, I'm in awe!

The photographer was going for "sultry". He completely missed the mark, I just look like I want to kick somebody's ass. This had me laughing so hard last night I was crying.
