Mustaches and pineapples and planners Especially the pineapples! My my 12 dd loves them and has a few clothing with them on it, and even matching necklace and earrings...so I guess I need to use them on a layout with a pic of her wearing this outfit huh?

I don't really follow trends.
That being said, since I live in Hawaii, if a page calls for a pineapple (which I don't even like), I would put one on it - LOL

I don't like the dripping. Like the water colouring and then making it drip. Splatting yes.

Super-fussy planners. Before I knew scrapbooking existed and before computers, I used a large sized leather ring binder as my diary. Every year I bought the largest diary I could find, had the spine cut off and holes punched to fit my binder. Extra pages were so easy to insert- work projects, brochures, just about everything went in there a week/ month at a time. Pre-made filofaxes then became popular but were too small for me. I used this diary as a planner but also as a memory book for travel photos, cards received, tickets and so forth. When I started scrapping a bit of "testing" of inks and such crept into my personal pages. Some of the BH PL pages snapped in when they became available. I have a cupboard full of box files with all of this, going back to about 1994; Older files went astray in a move . So now I scrapbook and I have completed planners with a bit of PL and a bit of art journalling in them going back 20+ years but I am not a PLifer or an Art Journaller and the prettiest, washi-tapiest, most-stamped and coloured-on planners pinned everywhere make me not the least bit covetous. ETA: I am reading a bit on the boards, missed the HH when it was live. I don't want to delete, but may be beyond the spirit of the thread.

I never got the hang of using mists. My papers would crinkle and warp whenever I used them

I don't get journaling right on busy background paper... I have seen layouts where it works - Shimelle does it, Irit does, and I love their work... But I can't get into it... When I've tried it, words disappear into the background and it looks like an afterthought...
Also not into the eyes and smiles on cupcakes, fruits, balloons, etc... Gives me the same creepy feeling that clowns do...lol

Pineapples are big in Colonial vibe areas like Williamsburg. It means 'Welcome.'
I think the next trend will be lightning bolts.

This.
I have so many photos to scrap- I would have thousands of albums if I only had one tiny photo per page. Actually, as I have gotten older any of those teeny tiny photos

Mustaches.
Cutesy animals.
One small photo on a page, especially with a lot of white space, or so much product that you can hardly see the picture.
Messy layouts, as in just messy, not ordered. I don't mind a fair amount of product on a page, as long as it looks balanced and tidy and not totally plastered.
And along with the messy layouts, paint splatters. Mists are all right, but I don't care for paint on layouts.
Flowers on boy pages. My sons would cringe if I ever did that. Not that I would.
