I think this is an open board-- I was able to view it before creating an account. Also, unless it's been changed since yesterday, the public at large can comment as a "guest."

I don't know that it is unless you have a ProBoards userid/password already. I know it prompts me to login....but it might just be the way I am accessing it. But I am assuming that no board is 100% closed.

I say "private" because no one is blocking access. But the general public cannot see it, is what I'm asking. The why I'm asking is because I mentioned to my MIL something I had read on a MB. My loving dh so graciously told her 2Peas and my name. He can be so helpful at times. lol After that she commented on a couple of my posts and even though she did not join, I never trusted her snooping ways. There have been times through the years that I could have used the advice of the peas.  I know I could have made an anonymous account, but that seemed like too much trouble. I posted a link on FB to this board, I did delete, but who knows if she saw it in time. I'm not worried that she made an account here. If this is an open board, this message will self destruct in 5,4,3... Just a note....on FB when you post, you can make your post "custom" and block people from seeing it that are your friends! I do that because my two bosses are my FB friends and sometimes I don't want them to see what I say! LOL |

Would you consider adjusting your user name and getting an avatar? Or using a picture not quite so recognizable? I hope that you figure something out so that you can participate in this board.

Hmmmm---- are you sure that's correct? I just looked at mine and it has been/is set to "staff only," & I've been posting & getting responses. Not sure "activity" relates to above?
I'm thinking "activity" is more Pet "Likes this" "likes that" "added a new profile pic" etc

I'm thinking "activity" is more Pet "Likes this" "likes that" "added a new profile pic" etc Quoting myself here, but, YES, changing the "Activity" to whatever doesn't change this all from being public. You'll see an "activity" tab when you click on someone's profile, and it is stuff like I guessed above. If the person's is set to "registered members" or "public" you'll see that activity. Posts themselves are PUBLIC, just like TwoPeas previously. |
