So, when you drink wine, do you ever feel it relaxing your muscles? And if you've been working hard, and then drink wine, does it ever feel uncomfortable/painful when your muscles try to relax?

no, i don't feel my muscles at all. perhaps i don't use them enough?? i do feel relaxed when i sit down with a glass of wine, but can't say it's a physical thing like that, more like a whole mind/body kinda let down. in a good way.

I can definitely feel the muscles in my legs relaxing when I drink wine. It doesn't ever hurt, though.

Nope, not usually, just if I drink a bit too much and try to stand up!

I can't believe I'm telling you all this, but when I drink any alcohol, I get "tingly" in my hoo ha. (blush) It definitely doesn't hurt! Please tell me I'm not the only one that this happens to.

Nope. Wine gives me a headache. I haven't had any in about 20 years.

I drink a glass of wine most evenings and I can't say I've noticed any real physical response like you described. It's relaxing but more in a psychological sense for me, I think.

The only physical response I have to wine is the sweats. I've tried to sit on the couch and relax with my laptop and a glass of wine, and between the two of them I feel like I'm sitting in a schvitz.

I *think* wine would relax me as other alcohol does. More slurs my speech than relaxes me. I wish I could just sit back and enjoy a glass of wine in the nice wine glasses we have. I just haven't found a wine that I like

I've had something similar happen. It felt to me like my muscles were tightening and I had very bad pain in my shoulders and upper back. I assume that it was probably the opposite--my muscles were relaxing but it was painful because they were so tight before? Who know?

Yes! I have experienced exactly what Iamkristin16 says ^^ It hasn't happened in a long time, but the shoulder/neck muscles on occasion still feel super tense, then all the sudden relax and feel better.

Actually, an 8-oz glass of wine in the early evening gives me leg cramps later on!

No, I don't have that experience. But after two glasses of wine the bottom of my feet feel like they are on fire! What's up with that?

I get a lot of what other people are saying: Sweats, tingly in hoo ha and relaxed muscles. Nothing painful, though. I usually sleep really well after a couple of glasses of red wine, not so much with white.

No but it goes to my head very quickly. After about a half glass I definitely feel loopy. I rarely drink it.
