An oil change, filter change, and tire rotation? The dealer just quoted me $75 and I'm thinking that's on the high end? It's a 2014 CRV if that matters.

$75 seems really high. I get that done for $25 at my dealership regularly. It might be more, but not $75, but they always have specials. I'd be calling around.

$30 for that for a CRV in our area per my co worker.

I know newer cars are more expensive, but dealerships tend to run higher too. You might call around. I usually pay around $50, but DH's newer truck is usually around $75.

I don't pay for any of them. We have a lifetime oil change with our dealer. It cost $350 bucks for as long as we own the car. the oil filter is included. The air filter is cleanable so we just clean it when it is needed. and my husband rotated the tires. He has a big lift at work and he takes the car when it needs it and does it. We have these things for both the Cruiser and the Jeep. It does make it so much easier to go in and get the oil changes every 3000 miles.

People are claiming to pay $25-$30...does that really cover a tire rotation as well? (or perhaps you are only talking an oil change) (I used to get oil changes done for $20-$25 at my dealership...but that price never included a tire rotation)
I haven't gotten an oil change in my new car yet.

I just learned from a friend who has a CRV that the newer Hondas are supposed to have some special type of oil in order to keep the warranty valid. Not sure if that is a load of BS or not. But she went elsewhere for an oil change and the guy there told her he could do a regular one or the special, and warned her about her warranty.
I didn't find out about this until AFTER I bought my CRV. I'm expecting to need my first oil change soon and I'm not looking forward to it.
Please let me know if you've learned anything about changes/warranties.

I use Pep Boys. Several years ago when I took my car to the dealer for an oil change, he "found" all sorts of things wrong with it. They also said I needed new tires for over $1000. I took it to Pep Boys, they suggested a couple of the things, nothing urgent, cost way less than the dealer quoted me. They also said my tires would be good for another 10,000 miles and they lasted me over a year.
Pep Boys will give you a price on the phone.

$75 is high for an oil change, but don't forget that you're getting a filter, too. I think those run about $30-40, so for oil AND filter, $75 seems right. (I hate filter change time.)
ETA: I took that to mean you were getting a new AIR/cabin filter. Just an oil filter should be included in the oil change, in which case, yeah, $75 seems high to me. I pay about $30 for oil/oil filter change, although that is my discounted rate for using my shop credit card. I think it's more like $50 if you don't have the card or a coupon. (I don't remember about tire rotation, though, because I also bought my last set of tires from them, and that included rotations for life.)

My dealer quoted me $99 for an oil change and tire rotation on my MDX. The tires are brand new and don't need to be changed and I can get an oil change for $40 at Oil Can Henry's.

Yes, they rotate my tires, change the oil & filter and top of other fluids. DS is going in on Sat morning with a coupon for $17.99 to get all that done.

My oil change is $40 but I get my tires rotated for free at the place I bought the tires. But between the charge for tire rotation if I had to pay plus the oil change it would be about $70 so that seems right on par...

It would be that expensive if we went to the dealer, but knowing my prices right now, I can get an oil change (filter included) with a tire rotation for $19.99 here. Maybe it's regional??

I just had a coupon come via email from our local place and for the month of July you get a tire rotation, oil change and safety inspection for $22.95. Last month they sent me a coupon (and I went in and had the service done) for $24.95. If I would have waited just a few more weeks I could've saved 2 more dollars.

For those of you saying you could get all that done for about $25 or $30.... man, I'm coming over there to live!! I have no idea how much it would cost for an oil change, new filter and tyre rotation, but I'm tipping that I wouldn't get much change (if any at all) from $75. I wouldn't be surprised if the labour alone ran to $75, not including the actual filter.

I pay $39. It comes with a free car wash and oil top-off in between oil changes. My old Tahoe burns a lot of oil, so it's a good deal for me.

About $75, but that's with Mobil 1 full synthetic oil. It would be about the same at Oil Can Henry's/Jiffy Lube. Our dealership does extra checks the quick lube places don't. That does include tire rotation (the quick lube places don't do that). If it didn't, I'd get that done at Les Schwab for free.

Our gas has about 80 cents per gallon of added junk taxes.

About $19 for a regular old oil change, my husband only pays $50ish for full synthetic oil changes on his mustang. Not completely out of rim of possible of there being $75 oil changes but that's a high end oil change. Out prices we pay are reduced - DH is a mechanic and gets a discount.

It's at least $75 here including a tire rotation. An oil change and filter would run about $60.

I had a CRV and even my 2003 took special honda oil. My Jetta is a diesel and only gets an oil change once a year or 10k miles. it's over $100. We bought the maintenance package for our Infiniti since it's considered a luxury car and gets a luxury oil change! ;-) it was cheaper up front than paying for each oil change.

My car uses synthetic oil so the charge is usually around $70. The place that I go regularly sends coupons so I typically save ~$10-15 with the coupons/discounts.

My Hyundai sonata was about $50 for just an oil change/filter, apparently it takes some fancy schmancy filter . Dh's diesel grand Cherokee is about $120 just for the oil change . I think tire rotation is somewhere in the $40-50 range. So I wouldn't bat an eye at $75, it'd feel like a bargain to me.
