Thanks for the chuckle. Those bugs better be praying. Cutter is pretty good, so is deep woods off. There is another that i cannot remember the name of that you can get in outdoors stores.

And here I opened the thread hoping to find out which bugs prayed, other than the Mantis, of course!
No matter what I use, mosquitoes love me. And my body loves to have allergic reactions to their bites. Blech.
I do find burning citronella candles on the deck helps cut them down in the evening out there.

Are you sitting on a patio or something else?
I use deep woods off for bug spray on my person (I liked the Avon Skin So Soft expedition in the dark green can-- the active ingredient is IR3535 or something like that-- but then they put sunscreen in it, so it isn't supposed to be used on clothes.)
But mosquitos are apparently very, very weak fliers. So if you're on a patio (and don't have fire or candles lit), maybe a fan would help keep them at bay. I'm thinking a larger floor model...

If you're going to be sitting in one place, the Off Clip-On fans work really well. But they don't work if you're moving around or if the winds are higher. You have to allow them to work their magic by emitting a bug force field.  |

This summer we have been using Buggins. My mom found some at Walgreens but then I couldn't find it there again when I went back. I've seen it at Menards and online at Amazon.
