Oh these poor people that are signing up with no idea what they are getting into! I so badly want to say "Run!" But of course the boards are back to happy happy joy joy posts and oh thank you so much SC for doing your job! Ugh! The boards over there are starting to just make me sick. Why do I still go? I have no idea I still go everyday, too. Train wreck effect. same

I used to check the boards regularly (I don't think I ever posted), however, when the board login was connected to my purchasing account, I rarely went anymore. Most of the online stores that I frequent that have message boards have a separate message board login. Which I prefer.

Can someone please explain to me why this post is still open and active yet the post discussing the card kit turned stationary kit was locked?? Shipping: www.studiocalico.com/community/studio-chat/topics/81212-anybody-shipping?page=1It's violating so many TOU its not even funny. Yet the thread that Amber locked last week had zero TOU violations. Nothing against the OP but the inconsistency of SC's enforcement drives me batty!! This is why I shouldn't visit those boards anymore. It just raises my blood pressure and it's silly. I shouldn't let this kind of stuff have an effect on me.

I'll take a stab at it. This thread is still open because it's happy. Orders are shipping. Unicorns are farting rainbows. Look how many happy customers we have!!!!!
Walk away. You'll feel better.
P.S. I'm guilty of checking over there too often, too.

I've never ordered anything from Studio Calico. I only check the boards to see the drama. With the latest crack down its boring. I don't get people that don't want any diversity of opinion. That's the spice of life!

New Customer Experience Manager announced. She's a former Starbuck's manager. I wondered how they got someone so fast when it was hinted at yesterday.

Someone just posted that she tried to cancel her card kit and they told her she'd have to pay the $15 fee for canceling early. How on earth are they STILL getting things wrong?? It blows my mind.

Well, I just got my last PL kit in the mail today. Remember, I cancelled last week? I am sad because I really like their kits but the company is just so awful!! I do not think they deserve my money anymore and it's like you need a cheat sheet on what you can and cannot buy......plus they are just mean locking down threads and deleting threads. I hate that I am going to miss their kits. Make me feel better you guys!

I hate that I am going to miss their kits. Make me feel better you guys! There is a very high probability that the kit that you love right now will no longer exist in the near future. With all the changes they have done, I do not believe PL is safe. I anticipate that card quantities will shrink...possibly even quality of the cardstock they use (the July kit main cards were so rough with those little nubs where they were punched out). Plus, the kits in general have already shrunk in terms of embellishments. So, feel better knowing that you got out before they took you for anymore money for less product. It'll be OK. There ARE other kit clubs that are waaay better than SC (both in terms of product and service). I haven't found it yet but I know it's out there.

I hate that I am going to miss their kits. Make me feel better you guys! There are SO MANY other kit clubs out there that are run by wonderful women who have much better business ethics. I choose to support those women. And in turn I get fantastic customer service, no BS ever, and great products for a great value. When I left SC part of the fun was hunting for a new kit club. There are many that don't have any commitments so you can sample them without a penalty. Best decision I ever made was leaving SC and discovering a whole new (drama-free) world.

The card kit is basically an embellishment kit. There were only three pieces of cardstock and two envelopes.

Hello. I am catseatcheese at SC. I do not post often. I have been a member getting PL and the scrapbook kit for a little over a year. Although I do not post often I read the boards several times per week. I wanted to tell you that I also get Paper Camelia kits and they are about the same cost (or less...can´t remember exactly) and they are FULL of products. They have some exclusive items. I am trying to decide if I stick it out until December with SC. Sort of waiting to see. I am not feeling excited anymore about getting the happy mail and instead I feel like I am being taken for a long taxi ride across the street and charged like I went 30 miles. Wow, that Paper Camellia kit looks jam packed! I think I´ll go for the Blinks of Life kit and Freckled Fawn, but Paper Camellia and Hip Kit Club also looks very good. Do not, I repeat, do not go for blinks of life. If you dislike SC for the mess they pull and their overpriced skimpy kits, you're gonna be real mad. SC and Blinks of Life are literally on par with each other in terms of testing my patience. Blinks of life ships from Australia, so if you want to get screwed over and feel the pain and frustration of international SC customers, sign up for Blinks of Life... But on a more positive note, I love Paper Camellia and Gossamer Blue. Tons of product and affordable, plus if you live on the west coast you get your kit in 2 days!

Random Question (sad I have to ask here because they'd lock my thread over there): I received my items with that little note saying "sorry we ran out so we sent you a note instead and kept your money. we'll reach out to you soon".... What.The.Heck? Is this what goes on over there? You don't ship me what I've paid for, don't tell me, keep my money, and then tell me to wait for you to contact me?! *deep breath Gabi*
So, when this happens, do you all normally reach out first or does someone eventually contact you? once contact happens, do they just issue a crappy store credit? I really don't want that because all its going to do is be eaten up by shipping (i'm west coast and it takes over 7 days if i don't do some type of rush shipping).

Thankfully, that has never happened to me...though I have heard of others experiencing that. Anyway, if it DID happen to me, I would not wait for them to contact me. I would be starting a conversation immediately asking for a refund - not store credit. And if they pulled some sort of BS about not being able to refund, I would ask for a manager. I think it's absolute crap that they do that...if they didn't have enough of the items and oversold, then they should have contacted you immediately and offered a refund on that product. I'm pretty sure that what they're doing could be considered fraud...

The worst part is the thread locking, so ridiculous! Part of me wants someone to go on every new thread and ask a confrontational question. Or wait until the weekend in the evening and fill the message boards with with confrontational questions and links to other SB sites. It would be funny to see how long they'd last and what type of comments they'd get. It's taking a lot of inner strength not to. But I value some of the relationships I've made with other members too much to do that to their threads. like impearia Last Call thread...I want to snarkily ask SC staff if her thread is technically transactional in nature since purchases are being discussed. But I won't because she rocks and doesn't deserve her thread locked or deleted any more than JHenry did hers...and I don't want to be a d-bag. LOL. Thank you abr79. You rock too! I agree I have met so many lovely people at SC. Sorry it took me so long to respond btw, I am deathly ill and not getting on the boards as much as I would like... anyway, at least lots of us are together here now!

I'm new here but have never really posted over there. I started my sub with Galileo which means I (barely) dodged a bullet and am not stuck with the horrid new cancellation policy. This is only my 3rd month with SC, so I guess they haven't had time to screw anything up for me yet really. I will definitely be looking for a new kit club in December, but of all the other ones I've seen, I just don't enjoy their style/aesthetic as much as SC's.

Okay, ladies, I need to vent. Last week they post a really decent unboxing video and get praised up the wahzoo. Today, the new CS experience manager is asking for self-nominations for DIY videographers to start making the unboxing videos for SC? WTH is going on there. This seems so counter-intuitive and downright stupid if you ask me. I just don't get it. If they don't have time to do things like that themselves, don't parcel it out the equally untrained and inexperienced. These videos should be top-quality to encourage sales and subscriptions. This doesn't not seem like a positive way to drum up business and retain disgruntled customers. No offence, but I really don't care what people think of an embellie or plan to do with it when I watch an unboxing video. Show me the product and let me decide what I like and how I'll use it, please and thank-you. Thanks for listening (and not locking me down.) LOL

LOL I don't have a dog in this fight but, I do think there are some non-professional you-tubers who do better up boxing videos than some of the videos I've seen from the SC design team. Not that what I've seen is bad from the DT but sometimes the true customers are a bit more enthusiastic. I'm not sure they can get that my asking for it on a MB though...seems like it has to be authentic to really work! I also prefer the member gallery at SC over the DT gallery for the same reason.
