Yeah, Big Picture Classes lost my business when they were bought by SC. Also not a fan of the subscription model. If I want a class, I'll pay for the class. One and done.
It's mind boggling to me how SC has stayed in business. But there are lots of companies like this, that have terrible customer service but people still just flock to them and support them anyway.

katyscrap, I am so sorry that happened to you with Ali's kit. I would be so upset. I really should cancel my Big Picture sub too. I'm already paid up until the end of this month so I am going to cancel then. I am speaking with my wallet too. SC sub: gone! Been subbing with them since 2008! My BPC sub will be gone. I don't have ABM subs. I do have AE subs and dang I wish it wasn't through SC cause I hate that they will still get a portion of my money.

Please fill the void in my life … can someone recommend another card kit subscription or what you are doing instead of a kit? I am subbing to SSS but I'm wondering if there are others.

Are you primarily a card maker? If so, I can give you a list of some really great stamp companies that make stamps, die, ink and paper. And they all have great design teams!

Instead of SC buying everyone else out, I wish someone would buy her out so we could still have the nice products but not the BS

I am on the lookout for card kits but always welcome new places to hoard stuff from. I am on the lookout for good ink pads. I have tried SU, CTMH, SC, and MFT. I want to try PTI's yet so I welcome that info, for sure! Thank you!

Oh and PTI's ink has been inconsistent. I really love some of their colors but they've had many issues. I think they are on their 3rd version right now. Personally, I love the way they stamp when they stamp correctly. I don't like SC or Hero Arts dye inks...the ones that are splotchy and then fade smooth. I like that with PTI you stamp it, and it's the exact color you stamp. I want to try Lawn Fawn's inks. There are so many inks out there! When I have an itch to try a new ink I'll look at Jennifer McGuire's video about comparing inks.

Poor Ali is getting tarnished by association with Studio Calico. I ordered her Week in the Life kit back in July. I still didn't have it by last week so I started a convo. They told me they were waiting for more and that mine would probably ship by next week which meant I wouldn't have by the time the class started. I cancelled. I am so mad because I was all excited to do it along with everybody next week and doing it a week or two after everyone else just didn't appeal to me. Maybe I'll use the supplies I have on hand and participate anyway. Grrr - that's ridiculous. Maybe you can still participate even without the kit. Is there other content available from Ali that you can use?

Dispute the payment with your CC company kellyv - you asked to cancel, that should be the end of it. And every time you comment on your convo that sends it to the bottom of the list

That is also the same formulation as Amuse Studio inks - just different colours again. I agree about PTI inks being a bit variable. I have quite a few cubes which work well, but there's the odd colour that they've had issues with. I don't know why because other companies don't seem to have so many ink issues. PTI's have been to do with the stability of the ink and colour matching.

Random Question (sad I have to ask here because they'd lock my thread over there): I received my items with that little note saying "sorry we ran out so we sent you a note instead and kept your money. we'll reach out to you soon".... What.The.Heck? Is this what goes on over there? You don't ship me what I've paid for, don't tell me, keep my money, and then tell me to wait for you to contact me?! *deep breath Gabi* So, when this happens, do you all normally reach out first or does someone eventually contact you? once contact happens, do they just issue a crappy store credit? I really don't want that because all its going to do is be eaten up by shipping (i'm west coast and it takes over 7 days if i don't do some type of rush shipping). So, here's one for the books... I ordered a brown Traveler's Notebook cover maybe a month ago, since I ordered the red one, and it's not red - it's magenta, and I don't like it. Since I was ordering, I added the card cardstock (this was the kit that came with no cardstock). And I get a note saying that the TN was sold out. But they shipped me $3 worth of cardstock for whatever my shipping fee was ($3.50 or something). So I paid $6.50 for $3 of cardstock that I wouldn't have ordered if I wasn't getting the TN.

I have to add my love for Impress Rubber Stamps. I have ordered from them for years and have nothing but great things to say about them. They are local to me since I moved here, but I ordered from them for years when I lived on the east coast, and they really are great. I love their house ink, and they carry both their own photopolymer stamps and a good selection of stamps from places like Mama Elephant and Avery Elle, along with a lot of cute little embellishments and tags. They have a great selection of rubber stamps, as their name suggests, as well.

New question: what the hell is up with the Handbooks? I was really ticked off when they switched Handbook designs, because I had been using the old system, liked it just fine (yes, I know the issues people had with it), and it is impossible to ever get your Handbooks and page protectors matched in quantity (it's like hot dogs and buns), I knew I was going to get stuck with either unusable pages or empty books.
Ok, so now there are new Handbooks. Except that they haven't ever gotten new colors and the protectors are sold out half the time; instead, they keep featuring new albums that have nothing to do with Handbooks. What gives?

I really want to try Lawn Fawn inks. Are they a different formula than Hero Arts or does anyone know? I also want to try Memento Luxe.
I have had luck with some SC inks but not all. Honestly my favorite inks are the prima chalk inks which are small and inexpensive.

I have mainly stayed away from the new ones bc of this. I think it was really weird when some were told ABM's albums were being discontinued. That makes no sense as the whole kit is made to work with those albums. Very strange.

Hi ladies, nice to see familiar names here. Has anyone tried elle's studio? I was looking at their kits tonight and they are really nice.
Also is it just me?. I went looking at the member gallery on sc tonight and seems like more pages are being posted by ct members from other companies design teams. Made me smile :-)

Yeah, I got the "we'll be in touch" note, but they weren't, so I started a convo and got the TN refunded. I just gave up after that, honestly. Learned my lesson. But seriously, you knew for the last week, since you filled the order, that you didn't have the product, and I had to contact YOU to get my money back. I still order there. I haven't found anything else that's quite my style. But I won't preorder (burned by Baxter) and I likely won't do a mid-month order after that experience.
