I just saw Amber Housley's post about advice on being a room mom. I really wish that the SC staff would just stay off the boards unless they are handling company business.

Which makes me think she probably deleted the thread. Ridiculous. I have some advice for her, but I"d probably get completely kicked off the boards if I wrote what I"m thinking.

Yeah, I was just responding to that asshole THEJADEGREENGIRL's ugly remark towards me. I didn't even say anything rude to her. She was saying to LCP88 how she just wanted to come to the site for paper crafting inspiration and advice. I said something along the lines of "Good luck with that. Someone posted a thread asking for advice on how to unbend paper and it was deleted. There was nothing against SC or anything, just "how do you unbend paper?"" She starts accusing me of saying she can't read. That her post was about "Freedom of Speech" and not against the TOU. I wish I would have copied her post, but she also accused me of saying something derogatory towards her. Which NEVER happened. What a psychopath. She should apply for a job there. She would fit right in. I saw that dialogue this morning and was legitimately confused - her response to you made no sense whatsoever. You didn't accuse her of not reading or anything! I was actually tempted to copy the entire thread and put it up somewhere online so it could live in posterity. Just because they deleted it, doesn't mean it's gone, etc. But I don't have time to play those games. So tired of it all. Like I said, it's become humorous at this point. I saw it too and thought she was losing her marbles...

And now there's a post asking where the post went. That was from me. I partially started it to stir the pot, and partially because I figured it was just their craptastic website acting up on my ipad. Interesting to see you all over here. I have some catching up on this thread to do, I see.

OMG! This makes for some entertaining reading! I had to rush over to the SC boards and read everyone's posts before they get deleted! BTW, I am Shoosh on the SC boards. I dont usually post a lot, but I definitely visit every day to see what's new.

I posted the other day about the difference between stationAry (which most people have been using in their posts) and stationEry (what it should be), but it was deleted. cath4k, oaksong, and mdith4him- ETA- I should have said that at least the corrections were made in that thread, after my post went missing! 8/31- ETA: I just saw that my post was actually NOT deleted, and the OP commented on my post (English is not her first language). Hopefully other posters misusing the E/A in the word will see it, though.
So, my apologies to her for thinking it was deleted.
I really hate how some comments are hidden and the little number needs to be clicked on to be able to see them all. I'm so used to every other message board being like it is here, where you can see all the comments at once. Bumping to show my update, now that I actually clicked enough times over at SC to see my post. Why did it not come up the other day when I clicked on my notifications? Isn't it supposed to bring up the post?

The reason the "Where is everyone" post stayed up is because nobody at Studio Calico works weekends. Even when freakin' release happens on a weekend. Piss poor management and customer service.

HA HA HA! I figured since it was going to be deleted, I would say something about Amber's post. Well played! As the OP of that bent paper thread that got deleted, I appreciate that being thrown back in their face whenever possible. I did go off on CS in my convo when I told them I wanted my paper replaced after all (if they were going to delete my thread then they could just ship me new paper thank you very much) and told them that they could have their new CS manager call me to explain what my bad behavior had been to cause it to be deleted. Of course the phone never rang since no one there has the spine to actually talk to people.

Oh, and I also cancelled my Story Kit sub. Not because of anything negative or anything - I just need to take a couple months off of kits purchases so I can save some money for a new phone. But, I am still flabbergasted at how Ali has the same customer service as SC because it is night and day different. After I sent my cancellation to SC, the canned response I received may as well have said, "don't let the door hit you on the ass on the way out." But the response from Ali actually asked for feedback and thanked me for being part of the community. Even though THAT was probably canned as well, it still felt genuine and made me feel like I was valued. So crazy. I actually had really poor CS from Ali's site. I preordered the WITL kit but never got it. I started a convo, they said wait. I got a notification via my tracking info saying it was being returned to sender, and they said they had to wait for it to get there before they would send it back out. Meanwhile, the project had started. So I reviewed my order info (totally by chance!) and saw that they shipped it to an old address. When I preordered, I was living there. Moved out in May, promptly changed my address on all my stuff, have been receiving kits with no problem (June and July). I told them that they shipped it to the wrong address, and they were like, please make sure you have your correct address on file with us next time! Eff you! It was on file! How about, thanks for looking into that for us even though that's our job, we'll be sure to correct our mistake by sending you your items right away. Instead, what she told me was, we'll ship it out as soon as possible. Maybe a week later, I emailed them back to see if it had gone out, they said the old kit still hadn't arrived, so I just asked for a refund, which they gave. Awful. They're damn robots. All of them. They're the most insincere, frustrating responses. I wish they would respond like NORMAL people, and not this disingenuous, canned comment BS. It makes it so much more insulting, you know? Hi Goldenblind221 - glad you made it over here. I am really sad you had a bad experience with the CS for Ali. I have always been really impressed with her, her brand and the care she takes of her customers. I am betting Ali knew nothing about your situation. I have always respected how she treated her customers and those who support her brand. Was this Ali responding or who? I have always had great customer service with Ali (though I always cringe when I see that I am getting a response from SC because you never know how they will handle things). I've always been impressed when Ali addresses a problem well before her customers know there is a problem. Her transparency rocks.

Yes they did, of course after I sent them not one but two pictures of it ("the first one wasn't clear enough"). But in total SC fashion, instead of sending me the 3 damaged pieces of paper from the kit- the sent a whole new kit. Because if you are losing money on your kits that is the smart thing to do!

Hi Jackie! goldenblind221 I am happy to see you here! I have never been able to resist an Ali E DD kit and I don't expect this year to be any different. I feel certain she has made her expectations to SC pretty darn clear for it after all that has happened recently. thanks Beth! I'm really glad to be over here now! Those December daily books have always been my favorite thing about scrapboking. I absolutely love them.

I've always had exemplary CS experiences with her brand, until I actually had a problem. I was totally understanding when they asked for more time to report the package as missing. But once the tracking info said it was being returned is when I began to get annoyed. Then, once I figured out that they shipped it to the wrong damn house and STILL wouldn't send me a replacement, that's when I got really ticked. They didn't ever apologize! Not one time. They were quick to throw the blame back on me though to keep my address on file up to date, which it had been for TWO MONTHS and I'd been receiving my kits just fine.

And Annie's thread asking about the new PL "Everday Edition" core kit. Isn't the one about the 9x12 page protectors against the TOU too? I consider that a personal customer service issue since she is having issues with SC not keeping product in stock. I also think it's funny that it's crickets on Amber's post.

Woohoo! Brimfield will be my last kit! My cancellation request is the first conversation I've had to start (among MANY!) where I actually felt good about pressing send instead of sick about the screwed up order or missing item. After all of the drama over censored threads and the insane lengths Studio Calico will go to (phone calls! letters!? creepy!) to stop people from talking about how bad things have gotten, I'm out! And it feels great!
Now I will be able to afford to spend more money at my LSS and can buy whatever embellishments I want. I have enough Project Life cards to last me the rest of my life, and half of theirs were unusable to me because of their pre-printed words that I would never personally use. For a minute I thought the gold # washi tape was cool until I got it and realized that I would only ever be able to use one or two of the phrases. Waaaay too specific!
