goldenblind221 i would be very happy to send you the transparent divider pages if you would like them. i ordered my WITL kit early enough to receive them but i am not going to use them and if you are not completely discouraged and are still hoping to make a WITL album i can get you started on a new kit with the dividers and also the veneer words. Kelly, you are so awesome for offering that up. If you're truly not going to use them, I'd be happy to offer you a trade! I've got beaucoup supplies on hand and have hoarded a few things over the years so I'm bound to have something you'd love. But Savannah got back with me rather promptly regarding the kit! I'm not gonna lie, I'm pretty impressed with their resolution, and really grateful that they are going above and beyond. Hi Jacelyn, I'm so glad that this brightened your day. The kit components, minus the transparencies, unfortunately, are on hold to ship from me with the additional goodies I mentioned and the stamp set I'm offering in place of the transparencies (as mentioned above). Of the following, which stamp set would you like? - Everyday Label Stamp Set - These Days Are For Stamp Set - What Today Looked Like Stamp Set I'm looking forward to getting this to you as soon as possible so that you can being enjoying it right away. Thank you so much, Savannah So, so glad that she stepped in.

I particularly enjoyed the thread about the alphabets. They only have one letter each. So technically it is the alphabet (no s). Then a helpful soul adds in a site you can visit that has lots of words that only use one letter each. Oy! AND you can add more letters as an add on? Is that right? It is like selling you a bike with one tire and you have to purchase the other tire for more money. Did I read that correctly? Clearly no one has time to scrap anymore either. It's getting really annoying how people are just very satisfied with all of it. Less so the new subscribers, because they really don't know any different, but the ones that have been in it for years? It's such crap. You're hacking away at all of my kit contents WITHOUT TELLING ME and you're charging me more to do it. At least the PL kit is still decent. I'm not convinced I'll keep it because the price point did go up for that also, but it's the only one that still feels "worth it".

I noticed a couple of the PL add cards (I think"?) are the same, just different colors. I don't get why they would be that way?

lcp88 did you get a reason why your thread got deleted, too? Just curious. Sorry, crazy day, just seeing this. No, no response. No message, tag, or anything. Just a bunch of notifications I can't check. I was a pretty staunch defender of April Foster for a long time because I thought she was a good business woman and cared deeply for her brand. I thought her interactions with customers were sometimes "cool," but she's also the CEO; it's not her job to coddle people or to bow to the will of the masses. I never saw malice or bitchiness. Even the other, past hooplas were often caused by whiny members (a few in particular). The international shipping fiasco was a red flag, but by and large things were smooth and personally, I never had a customer service issue not be resolved within 24 hours. But man, things have changed so drastically in the past year. It's fascinating. They clearly don't care about doing anything btu expanding. Someone has gotten too big for their britches.... And frankly, a recent collaboration left a really bad taste in my mouth. I can excuse a good amount from a business, but this in particular just seemed to capitalize on vulnerability and a captive audience. Gross.

But I definitely think they are misguided and trying too hard - I think written communication is not her strong suit and being the CEO and face of the company she would be best to stay off the boards and leave it to the people she hired to handle it. And if you're speaking of the Baby Boy Bakery collab, I completely agree. Low and gross.

What the entire hell is going on over there?! I"m so glad I finally cancelled my subs, I hate to admit I really did like Pop Art (don't stone me) but Brimfield is just ick. None of it makes sense, I don't understand the floral globe paper (after March I was done with anything with a map on it), where did all of the embellishments go in all of the kits, the die cuts look cheap, the stamps have gotten smaller and repetitive, the digitals seem to have gotten more expensive... I could really go on and on. I've never witnessed such a messy downfall of a company, and I am 100% here for it

Did anyone else see the irony of Anna Maria teaching a mixed media clasa? I read that and I couldn't believe they would have a known thief teach how to do mixed media. Maybe i am over analyzing it, but I don't think so! What do you mean? She's one of the people who did another mixed media class I paid for at SC. It was awful. So I wouldn't sign up for anything else with her name attached to it, regardless... Mom...I know what you are referring to (when she did that cactus layout and didn't credit the artist she copied) but quite honestly ...is anyone in the scrap booking world unique anymore? Yes she should credited that artist (and shame on her for not)....but literally I think all page designs are based off of someone else......For the last 6 months I have driven past a house that has a pink plastic flamingo on its lawn that is an exact copy of the one that's been in SC kits this year... We are all thieves to some degree. Its just whether we have the integrity to admit it or not. My dad for instance thinks that I am talented but I tell him ...Dad I scrap lifted this off someone else. I have personally found that most of SC courses and a good chunk of BPC courses are just demos for "....how I make a pretty page...." and they teach you very little......even Celine Navarro who I love.....she messes with some paint/water/gesso/neo colors/ink and then adds on a speeded up video..... her embellishments..... and really it's the placement of those embellishments and the quality of her photos, that make her pages........so I find myself less and less inclined to take classes in general...cos they don't teach me much.

I agree with you - to a point. I think the rub with Anna Maria is that she's representing a business that is getting money from customers. And she's also getting "paid" in a sense (whether it's an actual paycheck or just with product - I'm not sure how the SC creative team is paid). So to try and pass off someone else's art as her own is pretty low. I scraplift often but I'm not submitting it to a company for them to turn around and try to entice customers to buy the items I used to make the page. I'm just making pages to put into my family album and make myself happy.

It's more than that though, she used to be a co-owner of a paper company (I Lowe Scrap) if you feel so inclined to Google, and she straight up ripped off paper designs from another designer and sold them as her own.

I see what you are saying - but I respectfully disagree. Her 'painting' was exactly the same. It wasn't inspired by...it was copied. And being on a DT and turning in someone else's work - for public consumption - is wrong. She didn't make the page and then just stick it in her album. She posted it online as her own as part of a Design Team gallery. I googled and can't find the images but it wasn't just an 'inspired by' accident. It was literally the same painting. Like i said - I can respect that you disagree.

I agree about not taking more classes. I am currently in one that a dt teaches a mini album. There are a couple of videos to watch. No printable 'lessons' and the message board is boring. Im glad I didn't pay much for it.

I was disgusted by that. what is the story with the baby boy bakery? i am like the little kid who can't keep up but i had never heard of this until it came up on this post. don't know anything about this story. Settle in, pop some popcorn, pour some wine... (not really, it's not THAT long ) Way back in early 2014, a little boy was tragically killed, and his mother Jacqui happened to be a blogger. You probably heard of it, because the hashtag (that the grief vultures, not the parents) started was everywhere, redballoonsforryan. His mother got a ton of media exposure, teeshirts were made with his face all over them, petitions were sent to the Ellen show to feature his mom and share his story (I believe she did come on the show), and six figures were donated to the family via gofundme. It raised some eyebrows, because A) his poor parents were sort of pushed into the spotlight during a time when they should have been able to grieve privately, and because B) it's not like the money raised went to his medical bills or something...the parents presumably pocketed like 100k and never addressed the donations. Plus, people were running all over the internet with the hashtag. Etsy sellers were making red balloon paraphernalia, dolls were made in his image, that kind of thing. The hashtag has over 45,000 pictures on Instagram alone, and his mom's account went from a couple thousand followers to 280,000. His parents were going on lavish trips and selfie-ing all the way. I don't judge the way they grieved, and that little boy was SO loved and lost very, very tragically, but it made me and many other people a little uneasy...it was still like cashing in on a little boy's death. But, whatever, life moves on. Enter Studio Calico. They announced a partnership just recently with Jacqui to create a product line. This seemed a little weird because Jacqui had no connection to the paper crafting world or especially SC. Strange, but again, whatever. But what clearly made it look like a grab for new customers and new material was that SC didn't seem to know what to do either. There was a survey up asking for feedback about what exactly people would want from this collaboration. Like....what?! So you're a company observing this phenomenon happening, decide you want in, and then not really have a game plan!? It seemed like a ploy for her fans. I suppose you could say the connection is preserving memory, sort of like how Heidi Swapp is moving forward after her son's death (and Heidi's blog post was beautiful). But really, that's sort of a stretch. It's more likely, given what SC does, that they saw $$$$$$$ with Jacqui and decided to cash in on her ginormous following despite her having nothing to do with that "world." It seems very disingenuous.

I was also uncomfortable with the aftermath of the hashtag/fundraising/trips issue. And the SC collab is just disgusting. The difference between this and Heidi Swapp is that Heidi is already IN the memory keeping business and has been doing this for decades and is basically just keeping up her company while honoring her son. The BBB/SC collab feels like a money grab preying on the emotions of people.

I noticed a couple of the PL add cards (I think"?) are the same, just different colors. I don't get why they would be that way? Laziness. They've got themselves stretched so thin, there's no way their design team can come up with new original designs to pack that many kits each month, plus churn out new collections. They have scaled back on the number of kits each month but 99% of the papers/cards are done in house, or by a select few designers (mainly CT members), versus a few years back when they would use things from a much wider, diverse range of collections.

It was the survey that got me more than anything. Jacqui says upfront in her post that she's "along for the ride" and this is SC's thing, so it's not like she's being taken advantage of or something, but the questions on the survey demonstrate that this collaboration is a money grab.

That I Lowe scrap paper on the far left, the gray one, I got so sick of seeing that paper in every SC kit! And on PL cards and everywhere! It was like their go-to pattern when they didn't have any other ideas!
