I was just going to point out I often check this thread and don't always have something to add, if you look at views and comments added... I am not saying the thread is not monitored but some of us are just plain curious to know what will be the next problem. Plus thanks to this thread I noticed I was short on an insert to my WITL kit and am now waiting for a replacement Nice! And I agree - there are probably lots of lurkers reading the train wreck. But it does bother me if SC is checking in on this. They can't get their own boards and website straight... LOL.

Reveal has been up for 30 minutes now. Nothing is sold out. Not even add on PP (though perhaps that's because it's freaking $11...WTF? didn't that used to be in the $8 range? Wow).

Okay, an update to my AE WITL issues I was having. So I got something in the mail today, both physical and email. I checked my email first. Hello Jacelyn, My name is Savannah, and I am the new Customer Experience Manager. I noticed from viewing your previous conversations that you have not received your 2015 Week In The Life Kit. Please accept my sincerest apologies that we did not get this out to you sooner. Melody successfully processed a full refund on 8/25/15 and we also shipped you a new kit (free of charge) to the following address: ###### Based on our tracking information (see the attached image) this should get to you as early as today. If you do not see this refund reflected on your financial records within one week from today, please let me know. You should also receive an additional package soon with some extra goodies as a personal apology from me for the delay on our part. Unfortunately, the transparencies are no longer available, however I would like to send you one of the following stamp sets at no charge as well. Please let me know which of the following you would like, and I can include that with your goodies: Everyday Label Stamp Set These Days Are For Stamp Set What Today Looked Like Stamp Set Thank you so much for your business. Have a great day, Savannah Woohoo, right? Sounds awesome, I'm so happy that they are trying to take care of me, and all is good. Open up the package and it's just the binder. No kit. Just the cute little binder I had picked out. Do I get upset? Is that a reason to get upset? The free kit they were sending me didn't come through? I'm not really sure how to feel. Seems like fantastic customer service I've seen a post on Facebook that a girl got her kit but no album I think today or yesterday so maybe they are sending them apart

Just cancelled my scrapbook sub. Feel like a huge weight has been lifted off my shoulders! I cancelled last week and am so thankful I did. I seriously won't miss getting a half empty mesh bag this month. It's completely not worth it.

It makes me giggle. But, I am farther removed from the stupid company and have gone through my phases of grief. Had this happened to me 2 months ago, I would have been flaming. Today? I would laugh and just respond back to Savannah letting her know that "thanks for the attempt but all I received today was the album, no kit. While I appreciate you trying to 'take care of me' I think it might be best if we just let this one go for now...have a nice day." Provided the refund processes. If they still had my money, it would be a different response altogether. p.s. I deleted your address in my quote...you should delete it in your post. The gesture was really nice, like REALLY nice, but almost completely ruined by its own ineptitude. It's the thought that counts, though, right? I DID get my refund, so that was good. I'm just confused how to handle it from here. You don't really want to hand slap a kind gesture that failed in its execution, do you? I don't think it will come across as a hand slap if you use the right tone of voice in your message. I would think with all the effort she is putting forth to rectify the situation for you, she would want to know that someone dropped the ball in actually executing it. I would say something like, "Thank you so much for your tremendous effort to rectify the situation. I genuinely appreciate it. However, I only received the album today. Was the kit sent separately? I certainly don't expect you to send me the kit after refunding my money, but I thought you would want to know if I don't actually receive it."

I didn't know you live in Houston!!!! I am in Katy! So, why did they get rid of the card kit again? Only one card showed a paper clipped tag to a premade card. All the rest of them were handmade cards. I just don't get it. My folks live out in Katy! Small world. Sent you a message, goldenblind221

That would be good, too...much more tactful (and less spiteful) than my route. LOL. I have no spite in this situation. Once I got my money back, with no resistance from them, I was fine. Disappointed, but very fine. I think it was nice that they were trying to fix the experience for me. It's just kind of hilarious and almost dumbfounding how that got messed up too. How do you respond to that?

HAHA! Now they have messed up again! Got an email about a new class, and lots of people are asking why the link doesn´t work.....and the answer: "That mail should not have been sendt yet, but enjoy the sneaks!" I could´t help my self. Just had to comment that thread.

I'm a lurker I'm afraid it's the only way to find out what madness is going on over there. I was a long term subber until the international handling fee carry on a few years ago and I'm so glad I left then. I checked in monthly for a while as I did really like the kits and then the rot started. I don't get their business plan at all and just when it can't get any worse it does. It's astounding really and addictive to watch. The marketing class gave me a big laugh as if any sensible business wants to recreate their business model

Is it bad that I want to comment with a snarky answer on pretty much every thread over there?! I really need to just stay away so I don't get into "trouble" but it's so tempting!

goldenblind221 i would be very happy to send you the transparent divider pages if you would like them. i ordered my WITL kit early enough to receive them but i am not going to use them and if you are not completely discouraged and are still hoping to make a WITL album i can get you started on a new kit with the dividers and also the veneer words.

I am MaryJo over on the boards but I really don't (or didn't) post regularly. I subbed from February 2008-February 2010 and those were the years I really participated I guess. But I checked in frequently and loved to check the DT gallery when the new kits went live. Haven't saved or pinned anything from there in a long time though. I almost came back to subbing two years ago, but then for budget reasons and the insane policies at SC that had me fighting to get kits at strange hours, I changed my mind. Didn't want to commit my scrap budget to a kit. Then last summer I seriously considered trying again with some of the special offers, but the whole Big Picture fiasco happened (a screw up in a long line of them). I remember April posting a comment on a post I made about how I just kept thinking I would come back and sub, but then some issue would happen and I'd feel like I dodged a bullet. She said that they would work to earn back my trust. A few months ago when the big changes happened with the kits, pricing and all that I commented on how I was still waiting for SC to earn back my trust. And that is the core of it for me. I don't trust them. I can't believe what a train wreck that company has become and it's so disappointing cause the first two years I was a member it was "the" place to be. The DT was amazing and April and Scarlet had a good thing going. For me it all kind of went screwy when Scarlet left. I am just not in that place anymore though. Needing the latest and greatest. Wanting to be on DT's (been there done that). I don't think they are what they used to be. I don't "look up" to design team members like I used to. My whole perspective on scrapbooking has changed and I just want to scrap for me and not have to jump through a bunch of hoops for product. I also find it ironic that Elise Cripe had Amber and Samantha on her podcast recently with a topic of Marketing 101. I have lost complete respect for April and how she has run that company while treating her customers like garbage. The place is such a joke now. And when Rob started there in customer service I was so tempted to tell him "good luck with that." but I held my tongue Anyway, I am jumping in here at 2p's refugees. Hello, everyone!

Did anyone else see the irony of Anna Maria teaching a mixed media clasa? I read that and I couldn't believe they would have a known thief teach how to do mixed media. Maybe i am over analyzing it, but I don't think so!

Here are my price guesses per item in the Scrapbook Kit. I'm not saying I would actually pay some of these prices, but if they were sold separately at a retail price, I would guess somewhere in this range:
Cardstock:
White (American Crafts), $0.50 Dark Kraft (American Crafts), $0.50
Patterned Paper:
Specialty Paper: Interstellar (Studio Calico), $1.25 Terrace Garden (Jasmine Jones for Studio Calico), $1 Page Turner (Life.Love.Paper for Studio Calico), $1 Tweeting (Studio Calico), $1 Flower Power (Studio Calico), $1 Notches' (Life.Love.Paper for Studio Calico), $1 Rainbow Brite (Studio Calico), $1
Embellishments:
Chipboard Rectangles (Studio Calico), $3.50 Rubber Deer (Studio Calico), $0.50 Bronze Alphabet Stickers (Studio Calico), $4.00 #5 Pink Shipping Tag (Xpresstags), $0.25 Sketch Drawing Die Cuts (Studio Calico), $2.50 Vellum Skinny Washi Strips (Studio Calico), $2.50 Enamel Dots and Stars (Twine + Ink), $2.50 Roller Stamp with Words (Jasmine Jones for Studio Calico), $5
TOTAL: $29. If you add $6 for shipping, that's the 12 month sub price, so I can maybe see that. But $40 for a one month deal? No.
The PL kit seems better in terms of what you get for the price, but they've had that same alpha at least twice before in other colors this year (not counting the freebie 'thanks for being a subber' alpha that was sent a couple months ago).

So I wouldn't sign up for anything else with her name attached to it, regardless...

As a non-subber, can I even see the add-on items anywhere? I've clicked around, but don't see them...

I particularly enjoyed the thread about the alphabets. They only have one letter each. So technically it is the alphabet (no s). Then a helpful soul adds in a site you can visit that has lots of words that only use one letter each. Oy! AND you can add more letters as an add on? Is that right? It is like selling you a bike with one tire and you have to purchase the other tire for more money. Did I read that correctly? Clearly no one has time to scrap anymore either.

Why wouldn't you link it in as many places as possible so people could find it?? Good grief. Nothing that I have to have...although I did notice the last two (?) months they've had add-ons with lower price points, which people had asked for. I don't see anything over $30. They have SO.MANY.STAMPS though. Some of those are more expensive than some of the add-ons!
