I have a Container Store near me and one near my husband's office. I just meant I don't have to worry about losing cardstock/paper anymore thanks to the pouches being used for the kits! Or the ridiculous "we put a roller stamp in your kit this month…so shut it" response! I just sent an email to Scraptastic after reading some of the kit reviews in the other thread. The kits as of late at SC really sucked, but I just couldn't completely cut ties because of all the friendships I had made over there. I hope that my favorite people start posting their layouts other places so I can see them and post praise on them.

I'm new here, but have reading along for quite a long time. Man... I am about to lose my sh*t! Between deleted comments like the one on the mini tape dispenser (for just saying that they didn't like it?) to locking threads to deleting members. I can barely handle it. Now I am being asked to sit around my house for the next two weeks waiting for a UPS man to pick up a second package that they sent me on accident? Most companies would just be like, "Our fault... go ahead and keep it for being such a loyal customer." But it seems like SC is just like " WE HATE ALL OF YOU GIVE US BACK OUR STUFF NOW! " . (even though I am victim of them not sending me products that I paid for... which I have yet to receive from TWO MONTHS AGO!). sorry guys... end rant. I'd be livid too. Honestly, they have no idea about how to handle mistakes. Re: Having no idea how to handle mistakes - not to WK SC here, but the thing which is so distressing is that they *DID* know how to handle mistakes in the past - Back in 2009 , I had one item I purchased oversell. I was sent a nice note from Lorie, and a was sent a HUGE goodie bag. I posted about it on the message board and it was the norm. The same thing happened to me *once* in 2010, with the same result. I had one sheet of patterned paper shorted during those two years, from the more patterned paper add on, and they sent it two me with my next kit, again, with a kind note. Any questions I sent were answered very quickly and graciously. Their customer service was the best I'd ever encountered. Lorie was truly an EXCEPTIONAL CS Manager, and just an awesome person. I had *ZERO* mistakes in my multiple add-ons from 2010-2012. Even though I was placing *multiple* orders during bundling. I chimed in with people that I hoped certain items would restock, and SC corporate was always super responsive, even if they didn't know if they could restock or not. Around mid-2013, there were a series of hiccups - I am not an international subscriber, but I was sympathetic to their complaints about *HOW* shipping price increases were handled. I posted some critical remarks, sent them toApril Foster herself, and, as much as I know some people dislike her, she seemed to have pretty transparent responses and it seemed to me that SC corporate didn't INTEND for the way changes were communicated to cause so many international subscribers to feel penalized or targeted. Throughout 2013 I periodically emailed feedback /critiques about what I liked in kits and what I preferred as a substitute , and was actually sent an additional PL add-on in 2013 as a thank-you for providing feedback. I had extra ribbon from the Marcy Penner Happy Little things left out of my kit, emailed, had it forgotten a second time, and, because of the second gaffe, they sent me a whole extra kit, again, with a kind note thanking me for support and input. Throughout the rest of 2013, my orders were received with no omissions/incorrect items I can recall. However, I believe Lorie also departed during 2013. In 2014 (I think) SC instituted a policy of sending out a survey about kit contents with each kit. After the Underground kit, which was thin (due to manufacturing issues), there was a hue-and-cry on the messageboards. I participated in, and gave a fair amount of critical feedback, which I feel was accepted pretty well. Due to the dissatisfaction expressed - or because it was initially planned anyway (I've read differing accounts) - all kit subbers were sent a coupon code for a free item to supplement their main kits - I think for Scrapbook kits it was enamel dots, card kits received buttons, and PL subbers received a tube of color theory paint. While I understand the frustration that many felt that a kit even the CEO felt was merely ok was sent out, I think it was great that SC listened to customer feedback and rectified the situation. That seems to be increasingly dissimilar to situation now - I felt ok expressing disappointment about the two pieces of patterned paper being removed from main kits, and replaced with one piece of specialty paper, and because I felt like it was ok to give that feedback, I was willing to continue my subscription and trust they'd wow me with the specialty paper. Compare that to the current situation - I can't imagine posting on the MB a similar thread about "Does anyone else feel the Brimfield kit is thin?" right now.

I got some at a Japanese store called daiso for $1.50 each. They had a variety of sizes as well. What category are they under? I got them in the kitchen and bathroom section.

$37! Yikes! And if you have to pay exchange from another country its more. I have some points left and was trying to spend them yesterday and while trying to keep my shipping costs down, I only put smaller stuff like journalling cards and a smaller stamp set in my cart. Shipping wasn't bad and even after my points it would cost me $35 but when I figure in the CAN rate of exchange a couple of packs of journalling cards would cost me over $50! I just couldn't do it! So I'll probably loose my points but really is it much of a loss? Yeah, same effect with the NZ$. It means a lot more soul-searching about purchases

I "started a conversation" . . . well, 2 actually. The first was from the baxter order (duplicate order) one package was missing 2 items and the other was missing 3 so I'm keeping the one that was only missing 2 (LOL). I don't understand why they don't credit my account then shoot me an email. This whole dang card thing is the backassword thing of ever heard of. Who makes their policies? Loony Toons? Now I have to beg for my money back. It's no fun getting their packages anymore because I always wonder what will be missing and, great, I have to start a convo for my money. I don't wait for them because I think they have more than enough time to do it while my pack is shipping. The second conversation is about receiving double orders. I told them if they send me a UPS label (like a normal company would) I will send it back otherwise I will not be home for UPS and I'm not leaving it on my porch for the "next 2 weeks". Seems pretty reasonable to me. I mean, do they ask "what would a good company do?" then do the opposite. Most sites are pretty similar to buy from but theirs is like no other. I did receive a product once that I didn't order and they told me to keep it. I can't imagine how much of a loss it will be for them to have everyone send stuff back. Stuff didn't sell out so that means no one even wants to pay half price and then add on the shipping. And, I'm sorry (not really), but your email didn't come until after I had sorted through every box/bag to see what I got. So now they will have to repackage everything because it will look bad if they send out torn up packages. They should determine which is a great loss. Plus, all them man work to do all this. Un-freakin'-believable!!!!!!! Did you pay by credit card? You can dispute the payment - here you have 30 days from the closing date of a statement.

Wow, great post foucaultgirl! It's crazy to see how much things have changed in such a relatively short time period. People like you who give constructive criticism and positive feedback when it's warranted are the best customers. The way they responded when things were shorted or oversold speaks volumes about how much they cared about their customers. Too bad they've lost so many of those good customers recently. I think if SC did a total 180 and completely changed their tone and reaction to customers, things could improve and they would win back many people who have left. It's not impossible to get back to the way things were and to rebuild that trust. But they seem so unable to see their actions the way customers do, I don't have much hope.

They blocked me from seeing them on IG! HA HA. OMG that´s just insane! SC is a million dollar company and the act like they´re 14! I´m surprised I haven´t heard from them, maybe because I have been off their board for a few weeks. I loved the photo of the skinny SC kit that was put on IG. I´m pretty sure there will be more photos like that with the #studiocalico

Hello everyone. I'm new here and like Julie still subscribe to my kit at SC, but wouldn't consider myself one of their cheerleaders (although maybe some of you have at some point? Not sure lol) I do try to be positive and kind and give the benefit of the doubt, however, I'm also am guilty of complaining at times. I was the one who started the thread about the duplicates (let's be honest not surprised at all that was deleted it) as far as that fiasco goes like I said I made the initial effort to see how they wanted me to handle the situation (I fight a sense of entitlement to things that I haven't actually purchased, but somehow wound up with, although after all the issues lately I was surprised they didn't allow me to just keep it) I don't really mind returning it, since I'm not really interested in having doubles and I wouldn't want to take something away from anyone else, but I was actually a little offended by how they handled this. It was their mistake (glitch or not, it's their fault) and they did not say we would really appreciate it if you would be able to have this returned, this is how it's been set up, they didn't say thank you for being honest, due to a glitch this has happened on a much grander scale and we would appreciate if you could return it at your convenience. It felt as if they were saying "your order was sent twice here's how you're going to give it back" never once have I demanded anything be replaced when broken or missing in such a manner. "I went through my purchase and I noticed this was broken, you've always been so helpful in replacing this I would greatly appreciate it if you could send it out" yes they have to send me a new one, but I still show appreciation. I guess it just rubbed me the wrong way with how it was worded, although they are probably all freaking out right now (and even if ithey should have been) maybe they didn't spend enough time trying to make it sound right. But another thing I wanted to bring out was a small conversation on that thread that made me miss the way SC was and actually reminded me what the message boards were before all the changes that were wrongly handled and the negative response. So many things could have been handled differently (on both ends) but really responsibility falls to the company. If they handled things right the majority of people would have responded respectfully. Anyways the conversation was someone saying I missed out on the Baxter 6x6 pad and someone else offering the cat papers and that being exactly what she needed. It was just nice to read a friendly conversation between two perfect strangers who wanted to help eachother. That's what we need on the message boards again. Sadly the poor decisions made by SC has been the main concern (and we aren't even able to talk about it). I'm still routing for things to change for the better over there, but have to admit things haven't seem to be going that way. Hey there and welcome! I'm really loving this place - outside of this thread there's lots of fun scrappy talk and the best thing is that we can talk about any scrappy companies! It's a lot of fun (and has been a little dangerous for my bank account!). I agree - the way they are handling this duplicate order thing is pretty bad. I still haven't received a response from them after I sent them screen shots of my NOT duplicate tracking numbers. They told me I just had one package. Oooookay. I guess I'll see come Tuesday. Anyway, the bolded part above is what made me fall in love with SC community. I have witnessed that so many times it was awesome. And I have been on the receiving end of some absolutely amazing RAK's (someone gifted me a whole add-on kit back in May to come with my order). And I definitely agree - I will absolutely admit that let many of my comments back in June got a little out of hand, but I agree that responsibility definitely falls on the company. And, up until 3PM yesterday (when I received Savannah's email) I was also rooting for things to get better there. Honestly, that's why I never really left the boards after I cancelled and tried to participate as much as possible in fun and positive threads! Especially once December Daily hit...that was fun and things were starting to feel like the old boards! I avoided, as much as possible, any transactional SC threads but I did comment in the Packing thread when I started seeing others, like you, being sent duplicate packages for rather small orders. But I was never rude or snarky towards SC in my comments. I don't feel like I was, anyway! LOL I do agree with aggiebonfire00 - at this point, it may just be in their best interest to shut down the boards completely. I think it's a bit too much on their plates (I hate that phrase) and with a community split and no dedicated board moderator, they just can't handle it well.

- I believe it is. I've been smacked on there for my diction. I felt some of the criticism of my diction was/is fair - the term "subjectively objective" is one I encountered frequently in writing on philosophy of consciousness and ethics, and thus assumed the term was more recognizable than it is. I can completely see why, if you're a) not interested in philosophy, or b) not reading the authors who use it, I just sound insufferably pretentious. I am also fully cognizant that I adopt a specific academic/ technical writing style when I'm attempting to simultaneously not invalidate /disrespect someone else but to point out a pernicious social dynamic in which people who disagree with each other ascribe hostile motives to their "opposition" instead of considering *why* the other viewpoint might be held. My attempt to avoid striking a santinmoius tone apparently was an epic fail. Oops! But, embarrassingly, I was upset about it for a few days. I absolutely did take to heart a jab that stated/implied that I was the result of an intellectually dangerous practice of praising idiots who then mistakenly believe that they are not only competent, but capable of contributing to a discussion. That remark cut to the quick because I consider myself a *decent* writer for academic purposes, and it's a source of positive self-regard for me. Reading that I'm an arrogant fool for even believing that I had the most rudimentary grasp of how to communicate via written word really WAS effective in undermining my confidence. However, I don't hate the forum, and there is some useful information re: cancellation policies and business practices mixed in amongst irrational hatred of the overweight, Mormons, Christians, Atheists, Becky Higgins, Theresa Collins, people who have premarital sex, people who don't have premarital sex, poor people, rich people, and people in general. But yes, absolutely, put on your Big Girl Panties, then put on a Hazmat suit on over them before reading there! Oh my goodness! Why on earth would they smack the way you write? Personally, I love it when you post - it's very professional and well thought out and packs a mighty punch. And I wish more people wrote properly like you. Out of curiousity, I went out and did a search to see if I was smacked on (because I don't have anything better to do....yikes) and I was. Hilarious...apparently I was a handslapper at one time around December Daily last year? I don't recall ever telling someone to stop complaining but who the heck knows. I know I'm a big Ali fangirl and will defend her as much as possible (I really hope she separates from SC) but I don't think I would ever tell someone to NOT complain about her. Luckily, it doesn't bother me much...the comments were surrounded by people saying horrible things about Teresa Collins (they seem to be really obsessed with her, don't they?) I kind of need to stop reading over there...it's like a car crash...I can't help but look/read. LOL.

Can anyone explain to me why I can't delete personal information on their site? I can modify it but not delete it? What is up with that? Amazon, Walmart, any other website allows you to remove credit cards and delete addresses. I don't know the answer, but can you change your name to "Bugs Bunny" and your address to "1234 Main Street", etc? That way they won't have your real personal info.

Just a heads-up : Someone who is an ardent fan of SC * *might* report the post as promoting bullying or harassment, and might get the post deleted - you could appeal it, or repost it, and *I* certainly don't think it qualifies as either, but I have seen false reporting used by members of the anti-fat people hate group against people who encourages others to reported their hate accounts for hate speech and bullying.

So my post is gone. I am not surprised or even particularly upset. But I am confused. I have never had a post or comment deleted from their site before. All of my notifications except for the last four are gone. Two are the last two likes in my gallery and two are the last two people who followed me. Those are the only notifications I have at all. Why would they delete all my notifications or why would they all disappear if they only deleted my one post? Has that happened to any of you?

Pretty soon, it will be an empty box, won't it? Would that be bad if someone posted a photo of an empty SC box? My first post....same name at SC MB. I was telling a crafting friend about all of this at lunch. She kept saying, "wait, you mean there's MORE???!" Her mother just opened a crafting store and we discussed customer service practices. I suspect that this whole debacle will make an interesting business school brief once the dust settles. (But who knows if business school really would look at the non-glamorous business of crafting and scrapbooking.)

Q: Does anyone know where you can buy the new SC kit pouches or something similar? I've seen Jennifer McQuire Ink use similar bags and she get them from amazon. Check her organization favorites video/posts I think she has a link to them. I do have a couple of the ones from the container store and I do love them but I really want a couple of the project life sized ones which I think is why I haven't canceled my sub yet, stupid I know! I would also like maybe two of the scrapbook sized ones because the Container store ones are not 12x12. Is there a Facebook group that maybe people are getting rid of them after getting them for a while?

If the SC kits in the past had been in these pouches, they would have had trouble closing them. Not so much anymore. I think this was a huge blessing in disguise! I have gotten more stuff accomplished today than I have in a long time. Haircut. Nails. Cardmaking. The only thing I didn't finish...painting my dining room. I started painting it and then quit. HA HA. I called my paint er and he's coming on Monday to finish.
