It's tempting, I do like the documenter kit but I'm probably not going to buy it because I'm trying not to spend so much. Ask me again June 1.

I was expecting to love it, the summer kits usually hit all my sweet spots. 😅 Buf not this time. I don’t hate it, but it’s not grabbing me. I dislike the gummy bears, for sure. I think it’s weird that there are two different alphabet cards (like, why?). The colors are fine, the making waves card is cute. The whales are random, but pretty cute.
If there was a great deal I’d probably bite, but I’m not tempted really. The 6x8 stamp set is nice, but I think I probably have a lot of overlap & similarities with stamps I already have.
I’m kind of bummed! June is my birthday month and I was sorta hoping to splurge. 😆

I need to see more of Geralyn's new food stamp to figure out whether it would not be too much of a repeat of all the other food stamp sets I already own.
I don't get the gummy bears for the DK. And I'm not crazy about that cool bubble gum pink either. I do really like those label die-cuts from the TN kit. Joining the others on the ok-but-nothing-amazing bench.

What in the sweet hell am I supposed to do with gummy bears? And a whale stamp? I live in the middle of the United States. Whale count zero. And for that matter zero oceans and palm trees. Ugh.
The colors are good though. But gummy bears? Why?

I want the whale stamps - perfect for beach days or for documenting trips to the American Museum of Natural History (I'm in NYC) - but I don't want anything else in the kit. So I will be whaleless, and my wallet will be happier!

I don't buy the SC kits - far too expensive. I usually wait for a digital sale and get the documenter cards. This month has lovely happy colours, unlike the May kit which was really ugly. The lack of consistency is another reason why I would never sub to these kits.

See I like the Gummi bear card! We just had a candy bar for my 13 yr olds birthday so that would be fun. The whale stamp makes no sense for me. I live in a land locked province.

Are whales the new llamas? So random to have two distinctly different whales on two different kit stamps. The icons on the stamp kit are super odd anyway. A pick up truck, whale and wheat frond? I am completely baffled.

I'm lucky to live where we can go whale watching in the spring (SF Bay Area) so I could get behind the stamp set with whales. Are whales the new llamas? I feel like they are, I've seen them in so many new sets, it's kind of strange. I like the gummy bear cards too, we eat lots of those things around here but it does seem like a niche thing. Still trying to decide if I should buy this kit or just wait until it goes on sale at some point.

Initial thoughts on SC kits:
Doc kit: I love the labels, chipboard, alphabet, and whale stamp. We live 20 minutes from the ocean (Atlantic) and I know I will get good use out of that stamp set. Traveler's Notebook kit: I really hate clear stickers and I wish the stars were white backed cardstock weight stickers, not clear. I like the labels and the stamp. I am not using my traveler's notebooks like I thought I would... do you think I can sell them? I might try a FB buy/sell group for just the notebooks. Color Theory kit: Plastic stars! Yay! I've been waiting for these. I LOVE stars and use them on almost every page. I will definitely use these. Stamp kit: Not a "wow" stamp for me, but definitely useful. We own a truck so the truck image will be used, another cute whale, usable sentiments, and a nice font. Very usable set for me.

Obtrusive, impulsive, and unreliable? That gemini stamp has everything I need! These colors take me back to Heidi Swapp's Favorite Things PL kit -- I think it's mainly that bold lime green. I do love that Life in Color card though!

Holy crap, I placed an order for labels from SC this morning, I just got a shipping notice. I have never gotten anything from SC shipped fast, much less *that* fast! Two days! ( hope it’s right 🤞🏻 ) Holy crap 2 My order arrived - haven’t opened it & checked it yet as I’m still working but my DD says it was in the mail. I swear that is 1 the fastest I’ve ever gotten an SC order 2 the fastest the USPS has moved mail in the last year Holy crap But I get to start the holiday weekend with happy mail

Wait.... did you see AF's stories today? Did she *actually* get married at 13? As in 10 plus 3.... as in still a child? Is there no minimum age in the US?? Is this real??? Has she said something tongue in cheek and I've read it literally.... I'm ok that I got played cos that is a whole lot better than thinking she really did get married at 13!

I don’t follow her or watch her stories because I think she is a narcissist, so I have no idea what she said, but no, I am 100% positive that she did not get married at 13. She is probably trying to be cute so people doing the math will think she is younger then she is. Was she referencing how long she has been married? Certain kinds of people think it is cute to say they had their 20 year old kid when they were 13 instead of 23 so people might think they are 33 instead of 43, because *gasp* how dare some be over 40?

Wait.... did you see AF's stories today? Did she *actually* get married at 13? As in 10 plus 3.... as in still a child? It's AF's type of humour. She's pretending to be younger than she actually is because being in your early 30s is cooler than being in your early 40s. She got married 20 years ago, in her early 20s.

I did a triple take on that as well! I think she was trying to be funny about looking like a little kid in her wedding pics. I think she could totally pass at 13, she really did look super young. So did her husband. I often look at my wedding pics and think we looked like babies (we were 22 & 22).

BTW Now I’ve opened my package I’m kind of surprised that for items focusing on color ( color theory labels ) the colors are all over the map. Several are off a shade or two, no big deal, I’m not really going to use 2 labels together. However, I’ve got 2 sets of labels both labeled mojito that aren’t even close to each other. One is a weird yellow green that isn’t really pleasant at all and the other is a cool aqua green that I like, a couple of shades away from glass slipper color.
So do not expect all of your color theory items to actually match - because they don’t.

For those interested in the whale stamps only, Hero Arts has a layered stamp that’s cute. This is from scrapbook.com but it may be available on the Hero Arts site as well. www.scrapbook.com/store/hro-sb160.html

Sneaks. Thoughts? I may actually pick up the documenter kit. I love that green and navy 'making waves' card I LOVE THIS SNEAK. Of course after I cancel my DK kit after the travesty (in my opinion!) that May was, they bring out this which I'm totally vibing with. I just love the colours, and the chipboard has a few decent sentiments too. I will never use the whale stamp but I'd keep it in my stash as its IACB and the other sentiments look useable. I'm in the same boat as Booty sleepingbooty regarding the IACB food stamp. I have quite a few of her food stamps now so I'll be interested to see the whole stamp set when it's available for purchase.

So both ‘mojito’ ones that don’t match are the thin ones. I only have the thicker ones in creme brûlée and cement and they are from in my former DK subscription. I like the thin ones for in my memory planner though. I was just a bit put off that the colors are not consistent.

My sister used to do that too. She claimed to be a grandmother waaaay before her kids were old enough to reproduce-she would claim adults as her actual children so when they had kids, that made her a grandmother in her eyes. She also claimed to have up to 11 kids. Any kid who passed through her house was her kid.
TLDR narcissists gonna narcissist. She only had 3 children, 2 bio, one step.

When did SC stop adding the idea booklet to the Stamp Kit?
I just pulled out that weather one from a couple months back (the $5 promo) and noticed it didn’t have one. I kind of liked those, especially when the stamp is purchased after the fact from the shop, because you don’t get the digital access to the ideas/class.

Update on the Local Eats stamp sets by IACB: I just don't think there's enough new material there for me to buy this full price. Would consider it with a 20% off coupon. I guess I could try to check out as a guest with that 20% off code I'd posted earlier in this thread. But I'm in no rush it get it despite the "bon appétit" sentiment. It would be a nice purchase for someone who doesn't have a lot of foodie stamp sets yet, however.

I came to the same conclusion with the foodie stamp set. I think the only icon that isn’t a repeat from my other IACB sets is the pasta, but I don’t eat gluten, so... 🤷🏻♀️ I think there were probably pasta icons in PP awhile back, which I haven’t really looked at because... I’m GF. I know there was a lot of bread involved and I got real salty about it. 😅
I have gone back to look over all the SC offerings this month, practically begging to buy something and they got nothing I want even a little. Not sure what to even do with myself (or my birthday money!) anymore.
