I need an album and some page protectors. I'm trying to decide if I should go with the free shipping sale or wait for something else. I checked to see how much shipping would cost for the albums and if there's a 40% off sale (they usually have a few a year) and it would cost around the same amount. If you need the album now I'd just buy it now. |

I’ve also noticed SC and heidiswappshop (both Inked) typically have free shipping offers at the same time. I wish AE’s shop was on this schedule too  |

I've decided I don't need the album and the page protectors now as I have enough to keep me going, maybe even until their next 40% off sale (March/April I think). Just worried about having to move the SB.com ones I'm currently using to the Studio Calico/AE album. I ususally use washi tape to cover the edge with the holes, then punch new ones.
I might use clear tape. I don't know.
I'll figure it out when it happens.

February's kit seems very similar to a past Paper Person kit. There's a patterned paper that looks similar to January 2023. That being said, I like the kit a lot but will probably wait until they go on sale. I also like the gamer stamp which I'll probably buy right now because I will definitely use it.

I wasn’t really loving the pics I saw on their site, but when I watched Heba’s unboxing, 😍. There are some really beautiful patterns in there. They really pop when viewed individually, versus the big flatlay which made every blob together.
Also waiting for a sale to do any buying.
I’m curious how that new buildable album works out. I’ll be keeping my eye out for it in use.

I like the stamp kit this month (February).
Is anyone else worried that SC is down to two kits? I know a lot of people aren't a fan of SC, but they have been around forever, and I'm concerned by the lack of product offerings. I miss the days of scrapbook kits, embellishment only add-ons, and big releases.

My cart is full of Studio Calico stuff now. I'm looking through old kits and finding some stuff that matches together so I can make some mini kits for Project Life.
I am realizing how little stash I have when it comes to journal cards and matching embellishments.
I don't think they'll have a good sale until April though.
We'll see! Fingers crossed.

I like the stamp kit this month (February). Is anyone else worried that SC is down to two kits? I know a lot of people aren't a fan of SC, but they have been around forever, and I'm concerned by the lack of product offerings. I miss the days of scrapbook kits, embellishment only add-ons, and big releases. I am a little concerned. Not that they’re down to two kits, necessarily, but that certainly doesn’t seem like a great sign. But also there seems to a big lack of interest/involvement going on with April and staff. The insta coverage keeps dropping. This month there were barely any sneaks at all, they never made a highlight for February beforehand like they’ve been doing for a year or so. If SC closed up, it would leave a giant hole in my hobby heart. |

April Foster is the owner of SC, and the Inked enterprise. I follow the design team people. What’s left of them… there used to be many more. It doesn’t look like the kit will have any sort of monthly recurring title element. Granted, last year’s sticker sheet was completely trash (thin shitty dollar store quality), this seems like a super dumb move for them. When they used to have a good month title it was an incentive to not miss them. I just watched Hebas Unboxing: there is a Monthly Tag printed inside the Packaging 🙄 The February kit she unboxed reveals a birthday cake motif on that tag, not another month title! I’m so surprised SC dropped that completely. |

I can see adding the washi tape if you don't want to see the unused holes, but it honestly doesn't bother me, you can barely see them... especially when they're stacked in the album with other page protectors. |

I just punch the holes directly in the page protector, no tape or anything. I can see adding the washi tape if you don't want to see the unused holes, but it honestly doesn't bother me, you can barely see them... especially when they're stacked in the album with other page protectors. I quit my SC sub last fall, had a whole year of kits piled up that I'm now using for PL 2024. I had regrets after seeing the January kit, I love it so much. Zero kits with February kit, it's got a strange half Christmas, half Pepto pink vibe going on. And I even like pink.

Oooohhhh..... the days of old.... with filled to the brim kits .... and add ons that were like a full blown kit in themselves..... With great product that wasn't all SC branded. Yep.... miss those days too. I bought the first cameo through them... back in the day when shipping was free over a fairly decently low amount. All the way to NZ. ....le sigh. Times. They have changed |

Finally caught some kits during the $10 sale. Picked up that vintage motel key fob stamp for $3. I think that will be cool for making embellishments.
I got a couple of label stickers and a few things from the sale like washi. I caved and bought the cameras for $5. I've been wanting them for a long time. It's a lot of cameras but I love a little pop of color.
Anyone else find any deals?

Imagine my complete surprise when I saw it included in the sale! It said there were only two left so I quickly went to check out and by the time I did, it was removed from my cart and sold out! Such a roller coaster of emotions on a Monday morning over a literal roll of tape! But I know the peas will understand. If anyone knows of a similar design for sale somewhere else, please let me know!

It has a topography print too, and looks so much nicer IRL than in the photos. I used it in an Alaska trip mini album and loved it so much I bought two more rolls when it was on a good sale. |

I ordered the 3 DK paper packs that have been released this year during the 50% off sale. I’m really bummed about the quality overall. I don’t mind the paper weight, that’s fine. But the print quality has gone down the drain. When there is text on a colored background it is so muddy. Every time they use a fill-in (like writing prompts on a ledger type design) that looks fine on a 3x4, but print it as a 6x8 the scale is SO off. It looks terrible. I figured that was the case from the pics I’ve seen, but seeing it in person was even worse. They are frequently just using the exact same designs, and blowing them up to 4x the size and it just doesn’t look right.
Dies anyone else get the feeling April is checking out and just doesn’t GAF about SC anymore? Her instagram presence is almost nonexistent.

Im guessing SC caught on that people were just purchasing the paper for the DK instead of the whole DK kit. They dont have the paper in the store this month. Which sucks, but is making it easier to not buy anything.

I watched Heba’s YT video on the kit and she found a typo on a card - has 2023 printed on it. 🥸 I liked this kit, and if the stamp was still included, or a cute washi even, I’d probably have been pushed over the edge. It’s just too pricey for what’s included these days. |
