Hello everyone! I thought about a digital that I had on SC from way back in the day that I didn’t have saved in my computer so I went to the site hoping it was still there so I could download it. I wasn’t even sure they still had a site because I haven’t been on there in years. I cancelled my DK sub in 2015 (after something like 4 or 5 years being subbed) during one of the mass exodus waves because of the constant crap SC used to pull. It seems they’re still up to their old craptastic ways  I was surprised that they were still doing sub kits after all the crap they pulled and the way they were treating their customers. I was NOT surprised that they’d gotten rid of their message boards. It was getting to the point where a good portion of what was being said was a complaint or issue. I stumbled onto this board and have read the last 10 pages or so to see what’s going on. Good luck to everyone still waiting on their December kits. SC was shady back then, and I totally agree that they’re being shady now with that email to try to dissuade people from doing chargebacks. Don’t worry though, even if you do a chargeback and don’t get your kit, they’ll be offering it in the shop for the next 5 years..lol I don’t keep up with PL as much these days, but I never did the every week thing anyway. I only put together a spread like once a month of the highlights for that month. I have way too many other hobbies to commit to a weekly spread. I use patterned papers and cute die cuts or embellishments now, rather than a kit and it works out nicely. I used to feel like I needed to have this kit to put together cute spreads, but I found that I really enjoy doing it this way now. I just ordered the new roller date stamp since the one I’ve been using only goes to 2021. It had phrases too but it was the only date stamp I had that went that far. I tried to find it somewhere else. I’d rather buy it from somewhere else that I know will ship things out, or get it in a local craft store, but it doesn’t seem to be listed on any other sites yet. Fingers crossed I receive it sometime soon. From the chatter here, I don’t have very high expectations. Anyway, just wanted to say hi, and good luck to everyone still waiting on a kit. I know it’s frustrating and I’m sorry you’re all having to deal with that. |

Now if it wasn't so butt ugly and I would/could actually use it. (sigh) *snort-laughs into the night* You can't have it all with SC. Either the kit's decent-looking and it'll take you months to get it or, ya know, you get the kit but it's just fug.  |

Well after 10+ years I finally canceled my SC subscription. Just tired of the same old stuff every month. I have more than enough stash to get through, and an Elle's studio subscription.
(no shipping notice for me on the December Documenter kit though.)

I need you all to talk some sense into me. I recently did a full overhaul, get rid of stuff clean of my craft area/office and found the stuff that I gravitated to was surprisingly mostly SC. I do PL, but am thinking of just doing monthly with inserts for particularly fun things, like if we do any little trips or whatever and am considering getting the documenter kit again for that. It's been a few years since I've gotten one, I used to sub a while back. Anyways. Is anyone happy with and using the monthly kits or is it just a lot of the same. I did the AE Stories by the Month for a bit when it first started but cancelled after month 6 because it was so the same and I don't want that much of her handwriting in my album if I'm mostly doing monthly pages.

I don't buy Heidi Swapp stuff either because of her handwriting. I still can't believe you don't have December yet! |

I subbed to SC for 2-3 years on and off. When I first started getting their kits (2014-ish) I loved them and easily used everything up but I was also new to PL kits. I don't know what happened but I can't even imagine subbing to them again. Don't know if it's my taste or theirs that changed. I subbed to AE SBTM and Story Kits on and off for a while. Don't care for them anymore. I like some of the elements of the kit but like you, it's too much handwriting. If I want handwriting, I want it to be my own. |

I’ll pick up an occasional kit on sale from SC I’m sure.
I always for get about the KP subscription I get. Now that it comes with dedicated cards (instead of cutting up the paper) I hope to use it more for PL.

I really like how random their journal cards are. I'm not huge on themes or anything like that so things like a pretzel are my thing. Haha. Also I just went to look at an example in their most recent kits and saw they had a $10 sub promo, so I'll do that and decide from there  |

I prefer to mix it up with alpha stamps or stickers if I'm going to have a lot of words going on. |

Took a year off from the SC DK sub and saw the SUB10 code last night and decided to sub for another year. I had been waffling between that or AE SBTM for this year. There is a lot in the SBTM kits I didn't care for (generally always liked the stamp set, although they are a little basic for my taste) and since they are smaller kits and the cards aren't double-sided, SC won out. I tend to like the SC designs and find they are a little more fun compared to AE. And with the way shipping prices have gone sky-high, I didn't feel like the price is actually too bad.
So, happy mail for me! I was down to no scrappy subscriptions and am looking forward to getting one again. Now we'll see how many of this year's kits are a month+ delayed....feel badly for those of you waiting for Dec kits!

Have you looked into Cocoa Daisy PL kit? Their cards have changed in the last few years to have more clean look but still having fun quotes and very usable designs, cards are double sided and have repeated cards from month to month. I know CD is not for everyone but I have been using that kit for almost 2 years now and like it. |
