I'm trying to stay better organized. I think I'm doing okay with my cell phone and wall calendar.
I like the idea of writing stuff on paper, but not sure how I'll do keeping up daily. I thought of using one as a diary. I joined the Color Crush Planner Love Facebook group and it looks like that's what a lot are doing because they are heavily decorated.
Anyone do something different with their planners?

I actually use mine for my weight watchers tracking. I have the online tools but I don't keep up with it as diligently as I do with paper tracking. (WW actually offers paper tracking tools for members but it's nicer to have a pretty paper calendar looking thing.)

I bought this plannerI can't decide if I should use it for it's intended purpose or do something different.

I have one like this. I like the pages where the week spans two pages. I like that the first column is blank (my categories are breakfast/lunch/midday/dinner/snacks, and then I track water down in the bottom margin). In the top big box on each day is where I can write appointments and track activity... I like to put cute stickers in there as a reward if I have done some exercise. LOL.

Mine spans two pages also, but I like that yours is less structured. I don't like how there's the 3 mini calendars at the bottom of mine for the previous, recent, and the next month. I might switch next year.

I use one called something like The Busy Moms Planner. I write all kinds of stuff on there. I like having paper to see it on and I also clip to stuff to there like coupons or reminders or phone calls I have to make. Sometimes I jot down inspirational sayings if it is something I head that I like. It works for me and I have been getting them for the past 4 years or so.

I pretty much use it for planning, but I do journal a few things from time to time.

I miss my Franklin planner. I've switched to using the calendar on my phone but I always used my planner as a tickler file for upcoming things - kept tickets there, receipts for things in the future, kids shot records, etc. Now that I'm not carrying it everywhere it's hard to find a good place to keep those bits of paper.

Years ago I figured out I did better when I used a planner vs. a big wall calendar in the kitchen. It is just easier to have something that can be on the go with me. Besides keeping track of all of our activities, I also use my planner for a food journal and fitness recorder. I guess I also make note of things we do or places we go so I can go back and look up a date whenever I need to when scrapbooking.

I always get a paper planner with a monthly and weekly view. In the weekly view section, I write notes, make lists and glue ticket stubs etc, on the appropriate days. At the end of the year, it's very scrapbook-ey. I also keep running lists- like when I'm shopping for a birthday or Christmas, in the weekly section for that occasion.
In the monthly section - I not only write down appts and events- I write things like when I mailed a check (and when that thing was received- like when I send for our new license plate stickers), a confirmation number for an on-line payment, due dates for bills, planting dates, frost dates, how many miles I walked, notes for next year. For example, I never remember how much corned beef we buy for St. Patrick's Day- or how many pounds of potatoes. This year I wrote it down, in the notes section next the March calendar. When I transfer info into next year's planner- I have that reminder.
It's kind of amazing how much information a planner contains, at the end of the year. My family jokes and calls it 'the great big book of everything' - but if I need to remember when one of us last got new glasses (so we know when we're eligible to go again)- my planner will have that info. How long did it take to receive our new village stickers? My planner will have a note about it.

I do a bullet journal to keep track of everything in my life. I've watched tutorials on those, but they look confusing to set up.

It's really not once you start doing it though, at least for me it wasn't. I think it makes more sense when it's your calendar and lists being written down. I don't know, it just works with my brain.

I use the top row for my to-do list for the day, the other rows I use for appointments, menu plan, and an exercise/weight record.
