Both are wonderful! Great work. I imagine the recipients will treasure them, and use them.

I wouldn't know what to do with the first one...it's so intricate and lovely.
That whale though...SO CUTE. (my sewing involves re-sewing buttons only...and have used iron-on hem tape in the past)

Those look great, I like the arm rest one best. The whale is so cute, but the top one has pockets! Great job.

Love the whale, so cute I recently made two small cat toys, stripy fish with bells in. I'm looking for a pattern for a simple knit shawl, I'm not much of a knitter so it will have to be something very easy to follow.

Love them both. Your work is so professional! I am not a seamstress in any way, I'm jealous! Thanks for sharing.

Those are great pincushions, love them!
Sadly my sewing room is too hot to be in, it's like a sauna. I don't have an AC unit in my sewing room.

Love the whale, so cute I recently made two small cat toys, stripy fish with bells in. I'm looking for a pattern for a simple knit shawl, I'm not much of a knitter so it will have to be something very easy to follow. Pinterest has a ton of pretty knit and crochet patterns. A lot of the photos of crafts link to the instructions/patterns to make them. Gypsy, I love both of your pincushions. The first one is incredibly useful--I love the little spool holder as well as the pockets--as well as beautiful. I've seen similar looking over the chair arm organizers that have pockets for the TV remote, reading glasses, etc. I want to make one of these pincushion organizers for myself. I love decorative pincushions, and you did an amazing job on the whale! I've never seen one like this. I love the metal details and the itty bitty button eyes. I would love using a pincushion like this. Where do you get the wool roving? I have a ton of sewing projects that I want to do, but I don't have a sewing area set up. Dh and I are moving in less than 6 months, and our new place WILL have a dedicated sewing area for me. Dh set up a cool flight simulator in his office that looks like the cockpit of an airplane, so he is going to set up a sewing/craft area for me in our new place so while I do crafts, he can put around on his flight simulator. We're looking at moving to a loft, which will give us lots of open space to customize our home for our wants. I just found an awesome deal on a top of the line Rowenta iron at Big Lots. It is refurbished, but for $30 I thought it was a great deal. A nice heavy iron makes such a huge difference when sewing. The sewing lab where I went to university had Rowenta irons, and I loved pressing all my seams open and using the curved blocks to press set in sleeves, etc. I would really love to see more crafty projects from the peas!

Those are great! The whale is soooo cute My sewing room looks like a disaster... I really need to organize it again. I have lots of projects I need to do, but I did manage to get these done in the past month! My sister just got married and I painted her this sign (my mom and I made everything for her whole wedding!). It is big... About 3 feet tall- I also made this narwhal (my own pattern and design)- And I made this friendly monster for a friend's son- Looking forward to cleaning out my craft room so I can find everything again and get to work on more projects!

**GypsyGirl**, both of those pincushions are beautifully crafted. What a thoughtful gift. melly, your projects are so creative. You all are inspiring me to sew. I haven't gotten out my sewing machine since I made DD's last Halloween costume, probably 10 years ago.

Melly, I love all of them. I hope you'll show us some of the wedding decor if you have photos.
