That was a good book!
I'm almost finished The Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley. I've read some of her other books and have really enjoyed them. I'm loving this one. For anyone who hasn't heard of her, she is often compared to Kate Morton.

I am reading The Road to Character, David Brooks. It's about how we can go from cultivating what he calls "resume' values" (what you would put on a job application) to cultivating "eulogy values" (what you want people to remember about you when you're gone).
It is absolutely mesmerizing and I couldn't be more glad to have stumbled across it at the library last week. I have my own personal copy on order from amazon. Highly recommend.

Was not a fan of Girl on a Train. The main character was horrible. However, I would read another of the author's books.
Just finished The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah. It was excellent!
Also, it wasn't your typical Kristin Hannah book. I enjoy them when I want fluff. But, with months between them. If she keeps writing like this, that will change.

I really enjoyed The Girl On the Train, too. I loved A Man Called Ove. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/W4b_Om5roEadLiOzGo_l.jpg) The the last book I read, Luckiest Girl Alive, was so good, too. It was really hard to put down at some parts of the story but I wanted to make it last while I was on vacation!

I just finished The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins. very good mystery... What have the rest of you read recently? I've just finished this. I read it in 2 days, it was so gripping and well written. Kept us guessing to the end. i can see it being made into a film.

I finished The Girl on the Train just this morning! I didn't enjoy it much and thought it was pretty bland until the end when it finally started to pick up imho. I got it because of all the rave reviews but it wasn't for me. I do think it would work better as a film. I'm starting this one next. I Let You Go by Clare Mackintosh.

I didn't enjoy The Girl on the Train, the main character made me want to scream in frustration. I read You by Caroline Kepnes, I loved it from the first sentence. I'm just about to start Tampa by Alissa Nutting then it's Zealot: The life and Times of Jesus of Nazareth by Reza Aslan.

I wasn't a fan of The Girl on the Train either. ![](//storage.proboards.com/5645536/images/SCylSBljj3e3QKjxF2vn.jpg) My books are slow-going the past week but we leave for a road trip and 6 days away tomorrow, so I am hoping to get lots of reading time in!

I admit, the main character was frustrating...wanted to slap her...but, perhaps that is the web that surrounds an alcoholic. IDK

I liked Girl on the Train. It kept me guessing until the end and I liked that the main character was so flawed.
I recently read Finding Jake and thought that was really good also and kept me on edge until the end.

My bookclub just met today to discuss that book, it was my selection this month. We had a picnic in the park but it was one of our shorter discussions. I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed listening to the British accents.
I also liked The Nightingale.

I just finished reading Gray Mountain by John Grisham. Okay, but definitely not one of my favorites of his. I just picked up The Girl on the Train tonight and All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr. I have a few more books in my to read pile but I think I'm going to start Girl on the Train first.

I just finished The Weird Sisters today. It was good but not great. Earlier this week I finished The Good Girl. It was a fast read and was organized in my favorite way, multiple characters telling the story.
