Strung up a couple of 30" necklaces, one for me, one for my sis. We picked up the beads in the garment district in NY in June. Variegated 4mm purple beads (can't remember what they were called) with sterling findings, mine had darker crystal spacer beads.

Great projects ladies. I haven't done anything to speak of since moving but cleaning, unpacking and organizing. Husband finally got the tread mill together so now the hardest part of finishing the room is finding places for the 2nd office chair and the spin bike. This room is tiny and I really need to keep the treadmill and the bike accessible for use as well has have access to all the other stuff in room. I have a printer that needs a home and I just haven't figured it out. Might just put it in daughters room (since it is hers) and use the Epson for all printing.

Nothing since turning metal sheets into a magnet board inside my kitchen cabinets. But I am scrapping a lot! I'll be checking back in to see what everyone else is up to. How did you mount the metal sheets? I love this idea but don't want to put screws or nails in my cabinet doors. Command picture hangers but make sure the little tabs for removal stick out PAST the metal. Ive also used sticky Velcro but the command stuff is lower profile

I finished a quilt for my dgc for Christmas. It is batik fabric with a Mariner Compass Star in the center, 55" square. I bought fabric in a galaxy far away and long ago to make this quilt. I am been thinking about actually starting it since I bought the cassette holder box. A lot of little spaces for all those cut pieces.

@megmac, It was a paper piece pattern. From the book "PS I Love You #4".
Part paper pieced and the rest was regular piecing. It was a challenge but turned out great. I would post a picture but don't know how to.

I received my TH Bird Crazy dies, so colored more birds. I also started coloring an Adorn It Paintable sheet a scrappy friend bought me. Attachments:

I just finished a medal hanger for all my race bling. I modge podged old race bibs to a piece of plywood and drilled a curtain rod onto the board. It looks super cool. We are in the middle of a move right now, but I will share a picture of it when I have it hanging up in our new house.

So much creativity and inspiration!
I would count it! Then I get credit for all the jam my husband and I canned on Saturday -- 27 jars of blueberry and 31 jars of plum.
Yesterday, I finished a gift basket to take to the Meet-and-Greet Barbecue that we will attend the night before my son's graduation from Navy boot camp. I just need to print the tag for it and I'm done.
After work today, I'll put together the door decoration for our room at Navy Lodge. It's a tradition to decorate your door to honor your sailor.

I want to craft but I'm not motivated. I printed pictures to do a "Fishing with Dad" page and a page from our visit to Lake Tobias but that is as far as I've gotten. I also want to start Christmas cards but it's too hot to think about Christmas.

I just finished this painting. I really want to hang it on our garage wall (outside) but my husband had vetoed it. I'm just feeling ... whimsical ? I really like your painting. I wish I could paint.

Loved seeing and hearing about all of these. I just finished a batch of mail art for a group I'm in and working on an altered book tip-in for another group with he theme of local architecture. I'm going to do a sketch of a house that is a few hundred years old and said to be haunted.

I'm still playing catch-up with my business, but have prepared a couple of already-finished items for the fair this week. I have a baby blanket I'm planning to enter, and some AG doll clothes. Haven't decided yet whether I'll do just a couple of the outfits, or the whole "collection". Will likely depend on how much business work I get done i.e. how much extra time I have to finish details.

i've been busy! finished our pallet clock. made a riddling rack to store wine, it balances out the chalkboard we made from my childhood vanity mirror frame (mirror was long gone) on the other side of our buffet. and my parents have a wooden mushroom to cover up their well pump head. it looked too phallic for them so they wanted it painted like a fairy-tale gnome house mushroom thing. that needs some finishing yet. they plan to put a garden around it with all her gnomes, most of which are in a barn right now.
I'd love to show you, but photobucket is being stupid and not allowing me to copy the link. ETA it worked!
we had just set the gnomes she had had at the base aside, and then later it looked like they were checking out the house.

I'd love to see it if you have a pic. one of the first quilts I made was a compass star.. the quality is lacking tho and I would like to do another one now that I'm older and have (maybe) more patience.

Thanks! If you look at it close up you will find his paw print where he stepped on the board while I was painting it! I couldn't bring myself to paint over it. Attachments:

thanks eastcoastpea and beachgurl! my husband and I have a pretty good system- tho I am capable, he's better at doing things like cutting the insert for the chalkboard, routing the circle shape for the clock (it's 39"!), and drilling the holes for the wine rack. then I cut the rest and put together, paint and finish from there. I find tutorials online, then use that knowledge to do our own thing, because we're always making some changes to it to suit our needs or what we think looks better. I've always been a crafter for hire (I make wedding and special event invites for my second job) but wasn't going to say anything to him about the potential for these. but he's having fun, and now he's thinking about it on his own. we went to a couple art-in-the-park and flea market shows, no one around here is selling stuff like this or his headboard benches.. so maybe?
ETA- for the wine rack, if you google DIY riddling rack there is a video of a guy making one from stair treads. that's what we used for the holed parts, treads ripped into 3 pcs. but there are other tutorials with more simple holes (not angled cuts) and picket fence boards etc, it's not *hard* to make one! do make sure your side pieces are deep enough to allow the bottles to slide all the way in tho, I didn't and then I had to take off the sides and do it all over with wider wood.

Great projects everyone.
I'm feeling the need to create. I haven't done much lately. I'm going to print out some photos and do a travel journal from a vacation to Newfoundland a few weeks ago. Secondly, I'm looking to crochet an aphgan in the fall.
