I have just been making thank you cards for 4-H for our volunteers. And my Christmas cards for the year.
But 16 yr old dd has been working on her projects for fair. She is making a photo board featuring our youngest dog. She also made a shadow box for our dog that passed away 2 yrs ago. And a 6 piece educational display on how to get good dog photos and two single educational posters. I think her posters are going to be on reasons to not use a flexi leash and that dogs can give blood.

Nothing since turning metal sheets into a magnet board inside my kitchen cabinets. But I am scrapping a lot! I'll be checking back in to see what everyone else is up to. Great minds.... I put cork on inside of (some of) mine! I did that on two of them, too! Another has vinyl that looks like chalkboard.

How did you mount the metal sheets? I love this idea but don't want to put screws or nails in my cabinet doors. Scotch double sided tape. The foam kind. They've been up for a little over a month and so far, so good. If they fall down, I promise to report back, lol.

Nothing much lately. I made a sympathy card for the lake cabin neighbor whose wife passed away from pancreatic cancer last month. My next projects will be vinyl numbers for DH's new-to-him jet ski and a birthday pennant banner for my great niece's upcoming golden birthday party.

DH just picked up reclaimed oak from a Napa winery for us to put on the wall of our bar. . I'm soooooo excited! We've been in this house since 2004 and we're reprinting the whole house. The wall at the bar is so messed up from feet. The wood is going to look awesome!

I'm sorry to hear about the death of your neighbor. I'm sure your card will mean a lot to their spouse.

I just finished this painting. I really want to hang it on our garage wall (outside) but my husband had vetoed it. I'm just feeling ... whimsical ? LOVE it! I would love to see it on your garage wall if I were your neighbor! Very whimsical indeed!

I made this floral saddle for my inlaw's gravestone. My FIL liked yellow roses, so I went with that. Dd and I put it on today and then weeded and watered around their flowers planted on the other side. We had a nice afternoon sharing memories, walking around talking about some of the other people there (connecting relatives with people she knows). She saw a high school classmate's mom's grave and spent some time pulling weeds and deadheading flowers there, too. I plan on making a fall themed one soon.

I just started this really cute wreath from a kit. It's made of felt. You sew it together, embroider and applique it. I don't usually buy kits but this is for fall with leaves, acorns and these two adorable owls on it. Owls are my weakness.

(And the finished product when you are done!) Where did you find it? I love playing with felt.

made stencils for my friends and I (sharing a table) to use at a creative event this weekend.
I couldn't handle making another thing with "joy" on it so i made stencils of Aloha and Aloha with a flower, and then one gal wanted Peace so I cut that 2 ways.
Then I made my first car decal (I'm very good at collecting silhouette studio files, but need to find time to actually use it) ... Aloha with Mickey Mouse ears as the "O" with the hawaiian islands in the head. It's CUTE - a gal on a FB board made a shirt and totally inspired me.
Now I have to go home and clean up the mess that happened from those simple things.

Had a family reunion this week and one grandson had a birthday. I gave him a card made from my garage sale Thomas Kincade calender and told him...give it to your mom if you don't want to keep it. (She is a T. K. Fan) He said he has a special place where he keeps all my cards!

Yesterday, I made a pillow cover from my Farm Girl Vintage book for a swap in one of my quilting groups. Today, I finished the 8th block for my Snapshots quilt.

I want that quilt! I'd love a Halloween themed quilt that's not too in your face Halloween.
