Hello everyone, my name is Sherrie. I'm widowed and have 3 kids and 4 grandkids. My former sister in law tried to get me interested in scrapping way back when with Creative Memories, but it wasn't until I saw pretty patterned paper that I was hooked!
I scrap mostly 12x12 but have done a few PL pages. I feel I have to embellish each pocket so it takes me just as long to scrap with pocket pages. I work as an admin at a state university and try to scrap on weekends. I have a huge stash but don't you know, I often can't find the "right" paper to go with my pictures and end up buying more!
I love using sketches for my layouts and love PageMaps. Has anyone signed up for Becky Fleck's free class over at scrapbook.com?

I am Elannah and my Arabic name is Aaliyah. (Long story...) I don't really scrapbook or make cards or anything productive. I hoard tons of scrapbooking supplies. I jump on every bandwagon known to mankind and love it all. I like girly paper and all things pretty.
I like sticker sneezes, flower sneezes and all sorts of gaudy looks to pages. More junk on a page works best for me. Clean lines and white space rarely work for me.
I have an excellent supply of cardstock and would like to enhance my collection sometime soon. There is an LSS about 60 min outside town from me and I would like to go there once a month. She carries girly things which to me is an LSS from heaven.
My favourite companies are Authentique, Bo Bunny, Prima, Kaisercraft, and tons of other ones.
I own a Cricut Expression and about 200+ cartridges all new in box. I also have a Silhouette which I have used under 10 times. I just don't get it and have bought classes to learn how to use it. I have not watched the classes.
I took a journaling class once and I enjoyed that very much. I bought tons of markers to do the class. That was fun! I love increasing my stash.
I hoard scrapbook supplies. I know I do and I consider it a badge of honour. (My family, though, wants to kill me).
One day I will get back to scrapbooking. I really want to place an order at A Cherry on Top again soon. I haven't placed one since last August and it's bugging me. Maybe I will get the stuff I was planning to get after all...

Thanks to everyone who has shared a little about themselves. There's nothing worse than being at a party with the peas on one side and SC on the other and only 6 people brave enough to dance in the middle.

Hi all! I'm Amanda and I live in Nebraska. I'm 35, married and have 1 son who is almost 7. I also own a bakery (which was started not long after my son was born so I joke that the business is his Irish twin). I started scrapbooking in 1998. Though, to be perfectly honest, it was really more like scrapbook supply hoarding until about 2011/2102.
I had heard about 2 peas a few years ago and I think I created an account but I never did anything with it. I vaguely remember reading posts on IG about its closing. I didn't register here until about 4 weeks ago and didn't start posting until a couple weeks ago when I had my final straw with SC. I'm excited to find another community passionate about this craft...I don't really have any IRL scrappy peeps. Not at the level I am, at any rate.
I subbed to SC PL kits after I started hanging out on their boards during December Daily discussions and enjoyed them (and the resulting album) for 7 months but decided all the changes and the price hike and cancellation policy just wasn't worth it. So, now I'm looking for a good replacement and I'll use this time to try a few companies. I've tried Ali's story kit and love it and am planning on trying a few other companies after Ali's August kit.
I currently PL and do the occassional 8.5x11 LO. I also have been making cards for over a decade. In addition to scrapbooking, I am an avid crocheter. I also enjoy reading and swimming.
Thanks for the welcome and I've enjoyed reading about you all!

I'm Kris I'm located in ontario Canada. I like to buy supplies watch a ton of videos, look at pinterest and barely actually use my stuff. When I actually do use my supplies I make cards and art journal right now. I do scrapbk but not often. I spend a lot of time organizing. Or just playing around and trying stuff.
Also no kids but in common law living together relationship. My SO likes to play with my supplies to and has his own.

Hi, everyone! I'm Sylvie from BC, Canada. I am married with two kids (well almost adults) and am the Deputy Director of Corporate Services for our municipal government.
I got into scrapbook in 1998, right after we adopted our kids from Kazakhstan. I couldn't find a baby book that worked for us, and when I discovered scrapbooking, I was instantly hooked!
welcome to all the new faces!

I'm more of a lurker and a sporadic poster. But I love this place! I joined 2Peas waaaay back in 2001 when I first started scrapping. I have been pretty vocal here about my disdain for SC and it's business tactics but I try to rein it in. April makes it difficult sometimes. I'm so happy to see some SC peeps come over here! I'm a SAHM to 2 girls who keep me very busy. I am counting down the days until school starts!! I need to get back into my scrapbooking groove. Currently I am only amassing stuff rather than using it. :/ And quite honestly, I cannot find my "style". I don't like the current trend of layering and spattering and clustering all on one page. I am more of a Clean and Simple scrapper with pops of colors and patterns sprinkled in. I wish I could find someone who scraps like me! But in the meantime, I love to watch You Tube Videos, buy scrapping supplies, organize said supplies and then shuffle them around my desk until I get interrupted by a member of my family. Looking forward to seeing a busier message board here!

I am Wanda. I live in North Carolina with my husband of 44 years. After I retired from teaching in 2002 I joined 2 peas, but was never very active. The dramas kept me reading every day, but I was not comfortable posting there. My favorite paper craft is card making. Most of the scrapbooks I have made have been gifts. There is probably enough paper in my room to make cards the rest of my life, but I still save scraps and act like every piece of paper is special.

Hi! I'm Denise from northern Indiana. My husband and I will celebrate our 37th anniversary next month. We have 1 daughter, 3 grandkids and a great grandson that turned a month old yesterday. We have 3 dogs, with 2 of them being rescues. I no longer work due to having Lupus. I do, however, take care of our new great grandson while his mommy is at work.
I have been scrapping since 1998, after being dragged kicking and screaming to a CM class! For the past 8 months I haven't done many crafty things due to having a frozen shoulder and rotator cuff tear. I am finally getting some range of motion back and have lots of new goodies waiting for me.
I was a member at 2peas for years and a member here since the beginning.

I am Megan. I live near Nashville TN. I am married with two little boys- 3 and 5. I am a CPA and work in public accounting. I started scrapbooking at the end of 2001 while in college. I scrapped for years without kids - so I do scrap them quite a bit but try to scrap my husband and I too.
I joined here when two peas closed. I have been active off and on. I used to sub to SC. I stopped bc I wasn't liking the kits as much and didn't like what we got for the money. I now sub to Hip Kit. I do miss some of the exclusives but overall the Hip Kit fits me better as there is no cardstock or stamps in the main and the main is always full enough to get quite a bit of pages done with just the main kit. It also generally has bits of lines I would have bought anyways but some extras I wouldn't have bought myself.

Hi all, I'm Kathleen, grew up in NYC, live in Connecticut, retired last year, and share my home with a very sneaky little dog. No kids or DH, most of my LO's are just day to day things and my dog. Found scrapbooking and 2peas in 2003 and joined the refupeas the same day 2peas closed, although I mostly lurk. I am just getting back into scrapbooking after a 2 year break. '

I started scrapbooking in 1997 when DS was in preschool and DD was an infant after being invited to a CM crop. I've been hooked ever since. I ditched the CM "style" after about 10 pages, and went renegade with colored cardstock backgrounds, full pocket pages, and hand drawn lettering. It was a little awkward to be the only creative person at a Creative Memories party, so I mostly just scrapped with friends or alone. We had a wonderful LSS for a while, but they closed. In my solitary scrapbooking, I missed all of the hoopla of scrapbooking's "celebrity" heyday, and I only joined in at Two Peas about a year before they closed. I am loving the comraderie with everyone here, NSBR and GS, even though I don't know any Refupeas in real life. I mostly scrap 12x12 and still use CM albums (I hoarded a lifetime supply when they closed.) There are still period of time that I need to go back and add to albums, but I've mostly kept up. During the past year, I tried PL- style for the first time with a series of four 8x8 albums, one for each season. It's been fun documenting everyday life, but I'm ready to get back to 12x12 pages again. I have a design-based business, not at all related to scrapbooking, and live in the foothill suburbs east of Los Angeles. I am married, have a son in college on the east coast, and a daughter starting her freshman year of college in Oregon in a few weeks, so I am a soon to be empty nester.

My name is Tracy, I'm 45 (but in my head I still feel like I'm 25). I live in Texas, married since 1998, never had any kids, but currently have two cats. I started posting at 2Peas way back when, and found the 2Peas Refugees forum the day it launched. I've been keeping scrapbooks and memory albums since I was a kid in the 1970's, but started "this style" of scrapbooking around 1999. I scrapbook, make cards, do altered art, and other paper crafts. I do all kinds of crafts in addition to paper crafts, but paper crafts are up at the top of the list, along with sewing and needlecrafts, and jewelry making.

I'm Lisa , I live outside Philadelphia . I have always saved memento's from my life growing up. I was introduced to scrapbooking in 1999 at a Creative Memories party. I was instantly hooked, but quickly discovered patterned paper and became a rebel. I have been married 29 years and have 3 young adult children, 24,22 and 17. Have taken some time off from it . But, I do a Project Life album and am committed to taking a picture a day. This keeps me active in scrapping my everyday life . Love 2 peas and read NSBR daily. I couldn't begin to tell you all I have learned in the last 15 years here from all there ladies. I was so happy to find the 2 peas refugees .

Hello, I'm Nancy. I have been here about a year. I rarely posted on 2Peas. It was a beast I could enjoy reading, but was never sure when and where a scuffle would start and felt a bit like the new gf who walks in for Thanksgiving dinner only to find the drunk uncle stirring it all up. I have been scrapping since 2001. I have two boys 19 and 21 that have provided me with thousands of fun photos. My youngest always says no one is allowed to have fun if mom doesn't have her camera. We vacation somewhere fabulous even year and travel albums are my favorite. I make two-50 page books for every trip. I still need to catch up between the years of 2000-2009. I just retired from teaching, so I can do it. I have about 3 more layouts to finish from July and I will be caught up until 2015. Love the drunk uncle analogy and the cute dog in your avatar!

I'm Pauline, I'm 52 years old, I've been married for almost 32 years. We have two grown sons, who are 28 and 26 and they both live over 500 miles from us. We started over when DS#2 was done high school, DH quit his job, we sold the house and moved away, leaving the boys behind. People thought we were nuts.
I've been scrapping since about '97, started with CM like so many did. My style has changed greatly over the years and I'm much happier with my layouts now.
I had belonged to the old Two Peas Board for awhile before it closed. I loved the Glitter Girl videos and took another one of Shimelle's classes. I also bought a couple of digital files, but that's it. If I posted, it was very rare.
Not sure how I found this board, probably saw reference on one of the other places I frequent.

I'm Kirsten, living in Ontario Canada, happily scrapping since 2001. I have 2 boys, 16 and 15, and a daughter in competitive dance who is 12 (oh, the photo ops!!!) I also have a mini schnauzer, and am babysitting my BILs pug right now (more photo ops!). Oh, and a DH. 20 years this year. He's a keeper and has himself scrapped 4 or 5 pages through the years My scrappy heart loves shopping, you tube videos, pinterest, photography, and story telling about my family. I scrap 12x12, but mix in PL divided pages if I have a big spread/event to scrap. I was a pea for a long time, and still miss it. Especially Glitter Girl! I'm another who saves all my scraps down to tiny bits. Can't stand waste, but that's a basic personality trait that goes thru my whole life. I belong to Scraptastic for my monthly kit as I love colour and variety. I have filled up all available space in my house with albums, and have small panic attacks when thinking about where to put the next 2 dozen albums, because I'm becoming quicker with my process, meaning I'm creating more and more LOs each year! I am relegated to the windowless basement for my scrapspace unfortunately, so I tend to get less done in the summer as I love the light and sun.

Recently turned 32 and married. I got into Scrapbooking back in '05 ish.
I'll never forget how it all started- I was at Michael's and I never ventured into the paper crafting area but for some reason that night I did. I started adding a few things into my cart and this lady was eyeing me up and asked me if I was new to scrapbooking and I told her I guess so because I just felt the need to buy all this stuff so im going to give it a try. She said you will be hooked and you will come back for more you watch and see...I said nah I got enough to last me awhile. Fast forward to a week later I'm back up at Mikes buying more crap!!! Low and behold I run into the SAME lady again!!!! (I'm starting to wonder if she was my scrapbook gardian angel). There I am with my cart full of stuff and at this point I had to buy that XXL pull tote thing Michael's use to sell. Anyways the lady is laughing at me and I'm holding my head down in shame because I just wanted all the pretty papers!
Been hooked ever since. I did take a long break when I had some life stuff happen but I slowly got back into it few years later and I'm more into it now than back then.

Hi I am Karin. I have two little girls (3 and 5) and have been married for 12 years. I started scrapbooking after I was married and would classify myself as mostly a collector until I started project life. While I am typically behind in scrapbooking I love that each year i have an album (two actually). If I am not working with pocket pages, I scrapbook 12x12.
I do have a silhouette that I need to use more. Plus I do occasionally quilt. My five year old wants to learn to scrapbook so I am excited to help her set up her own book about kindergarten. It should be a blast.

I am a social worker for the government. My DH and I have been married 27 years and have 2 college sons. DH is a history teacher. We are east coast northern liberals and I am a union activist who would love to retire and stay home and scrap.
I am a traditional scrapbooker and I scrap often. I scrap to get my memories preserved. I have scrapped over 100 albums and am currently working on my Air Force albums. My kids' lives are entirely scrapped and are caught up as of July.
I love to collect things. Some of my collections include vintage and antique Christmas ornaments, dolls (brides in particular), vintage clothes, folk art............ I also do genealogy often, generally on ancestry.com. My DH and I had a 19th century themed wedding and used to do lots of living history/reenacting different periods in American history at area historic sites.
I wanted to major in art in college and love to do folk art painting. I also sew costumes/garb for my son's live action role play endeavors. My other son plays sports and I am a sports mom as long as he is playing.

Hi I'm Anne from New Zealand. I came here after 2 Peas closed, though I was mostly a lurker on the old boards. Have been card making for about 20 yrs, scrapping for about 15 and recently have also got into Project Life. Not married, no kids, but I have a gorgeous niece who I love to scrap. I work as an environmental lawyer and love the creativity that paper crafts brings into my life. I'm currently an SC subscriber but am looking around for other options as I haven't been that impressed with the kits lately. I love shopping in the US since the range of things is sooo much better than we get locally. So any recommendations for kit clubs and stores are always welcome I've dabbled in other crafts like quilting, cross-stitch and mosaics, but always come back to paper Like aggiebonfire00 I'm also a runner and am currently training for the Legend marathon, followed by the Auckland marathon in November. You are from New Zealand AND an environmental lawyer? SO.COOL.

I am Patter. Married for 26 years, and we have identical triplet girls that will be 21 in a few weeks. Where has the time gone? I have been scrapping since our girls were 3 but now I would say I do more mixed media and other things. I love it all (Bible journaling, cards, layouts, art journaling, ATCs, altered art, etc.). I have been blogging since 2007. And I think I was on the original board for 7-8 years before it closed then I jumped over here.
