We've gained a lot of new refupeas recently thanks to the SC implosion and with so many unfamiliar faces I thought it might be nice to learn a little about everyone.

It seems only fair that I start.
My name is Karen and I came here after 2peas disappeared. I've been scrapping since about 2003 and do both paper and digi. I'm not married and have no kids. Most of my layouts are about my vacations and lately my SO because he thinks every waking moment I have should be spent on him. I like using my stash and will hoard products for years. I love the thrill of finding and using the perfect old thing.

I'm Lynn from just north of Minneapolis. I'm 57, married, two kids, two grands.
I'm a senior project engineer for a large heavy industrial contractor. I can't wait to retire. Or, quit - it might be Youtube worthy...
I love to scrapbook, especially for my grandchildren.

I'm Sarah from North Idaho. I'm from the SC implosion, although I did lurk on the 2Ps boards, I was always too afraid to post.
I have a husband, no kids. We travel a lot and that's mostly what I document through a combination of scrapbooking and PL. But I mostly make cards and other paper crafting projects using my cameo.
I work at a civil engineering firm that mostly does value engineering (I'll save you the boring details) and love the creative outlet of paper crafting.
Thanks to everyone who welcomed those of us that came from SC.

Hello. I am Catrina and I am married with no human children but one cat and one dog. My husband and I live in Spain but we are both from the United States. We are in Spain for my job. I work as a food scientist. We like to travel and eat and spend time with our pets and friends. I like to document those things with PL and scrapbooking. I have made a few cards and started some art journals as well. I just found out about this site and it looks like there is a lot of fun information and that it is fairly busy. Thanks for the welcome!

Oh, thank you for starting this. It will be so helpful to us newbies here.
I am married and have four children - 23, 20, 11, and 10. My husband and I have been together since we were 18. I have always homeschooled and continue to do so with the youngest two. I am SO not ready mentally for the school year coming up! I have scrapbooked since the 90's. I took a five year break a while back, but came back to it and ended up scrapping 10 years worth of photos into albums using PL. Since then I have been documenting daily life through PL and layouts. I subbed with SC the last couple years, but will be cancelling as soon as they get this last kit out the door. Then I am not sure if I will sub somewhere else or just order online. I hate ordering online (so time consuming!), but I don't have a LSS.

I am Susanne from Stockholm, Sweden. I signed up here after 2peas disappeared.
I have a husband, 2 teenage kids (and 3 cats), but no job as I was laid of (made redundant) this June
Gives me plenty of time to scrapbook and make cards, right? I.e between all the job hunting that I am sure will be my "full time job" from now on.

Hi! I'm Lisa. I live in the upper mitten of Michigan. We are refurbishing a 100 year old house and so my blood, sweat, tears and many muscle aches are from that. I am married with a son and daughter, and 1 dog and 2 cats. We hope to add some farm styled animals to that mix in the next year or two. I am a homeschooling mom. I art journal, make cards, and scrapbook both traditional and digital.

Hello, I'm Nancy. I have been here about a year. I rarely posted on 2Peas. It was a beast I could enjoy reading, but was never sure when and where a scuffle would start and felt a bit like the new gf who walks in for Thanksgiving dinner only to find the drunk uncle stirring it all up.  I have been scrapping since 2001. I have two boys 19 and 21 that have provided me with thousands of fun photos. My youngest always says no one is allowed to have fun if mom doesn't have her camera. We vacation somewhere fabulous even year and travel albums are my favorite. I make two-50 page books for every trip. I still need to catch up between the years of 2000-2009. I just retired from teaching, so I can do it. I have about 3 more layouts to finish from July and I will be caught up until 2015. |

Hi Refupeas! I'm Paula! I'm in Canada and have been here a little under a year.... It took me a bit to find the Refupeas in my shock when 2peas locked up the message boards! I'm a mom of two but originally started scrapping our travels before the kids (early 2000s) so don't feel the need to just scrap pictures of my kids. I'm a project lifer so am one of those people who takes pictures of my food in restaurants! Luckily my family plays along! I only know a few people IRL who scrap so like to talk about my obsession here! What else? I'm still quasi-frozen ( I haven't cancelled my kits but have put a freeze on my impulse shopping!). I do need to pick up some white cardstock (per my thread the other day) but haven't pulled the plug since the shipping to Canada is awful for 12 by 12.!  I do love diving iny stash and lucky that 2012 was a good year! |

I've been a student/SAHM/scrapbooker/student/SAHM/scrapbooker for my entire adult life.  I'm currently teaching classes at Big Picture Classes ( my die cut background class is here) and on Monday I'm starting my first REAL job. I blog, Instagram, Facebook, and have an Etsy shop. |

Hi, I am Christine. I live in IL with my husband and 2 kids- ages 22 and 7 and one fur baby. I was introduced to scrapbooking in 1997 and fell in love although these days I feel like I collect supplies more than I use them. I tend to do pocket pages along with traditional 12x12 layouts.
I was a long term lurker at 2 Peas and just recently found you all (have still been mainly lurking and trying to stay out of the Big Brother threads!). I am glad to have found these boards and hope to join in the fun!!

Hi! I am Lindsay and I live in west Houston. I have 4 kids. I scrapbook traditional pages (wish I could do digital because the albums take up so much space), Project Life, and make cards. I was aggiebonfire00 at 2 peas and at SC and now here. I have actually been a member here since the board was started, but more of a lurker. I definitely want to participate more! I'm super excited about the upcoming HH threads! Besides paper crafting, I enjoy running. I am about to start training for my 14th half marathon. I'm trying to run one in every state. The next one is Atlantic City in October.

Hi all! I'm Meredith and I've popped in here off and on since 2 Peas closed, but officially joined and started reading more threads since SC went off the deep end. I've been married 6 years and we have 5 fur babies (house rabbits!). I worked as a teacher for 5 years before switching to a customer service job for the last two years. We live in the Northern Virginia area, just outside of DC. I started scrapping PL-style back in 2013 and have expanded into other memory keeping projects like WITL and DD. Looking forward to jumping in a bit more and getting to know you all better |

Hi! I'm Jennifer, I'm 46, and live outside Phoenix, AZ. My BF and I have three Shelties and three cats, and have been together for 11 years. I currently work for a nutritional supplement manufacturer handling customer complaint investigations, and have always worked in FDA-regulated industries; being creative is my antidote to rules and regulations. I found this place sometime not long after 2peas disappeared. I posted mostly on the scrapping board there, but haven't been scrapping much lately, so here I post more often on the NSBR. (come over and visit sometime, lol!! really, it's not all political threads, I promise.) I started scrapping back in the 'early' days- mid 1990s, maybe?? I started with stamping and card-making, but now the only cards I make are my Christmas cards (and sometimes not even them). I am addicted to patterned paper, take waaaaay too many pictures with my digital camera, and have a fear of deleting any of them (even the blurry ones) so most of them live on my computer. I scrap mainly 12x12 traditional layouts with some pocket scrapbook pages thrown in now and then. I scrap mostly trips we take, have tried PL-style layouts, and also have crafter's ADD: I recently bought a set of colored pencils, some coloring books, and a book on Zentangling. I also art journal sometimes when the cut-and-paste urge strikes me. eta: ashley, good luck next Monday with your first day of work!!  |

Hi everyone! I was a 2Peas member but rarely posted. Yeah, the NSBR board scared me so, if I posted, it was on the stamping board. Then 2Peas went away and I felt lost. About a year ago I found the Refugees and lurked for a couple of months before joining. I was a fairly active poster on the SC forum but that's over for me. I'm trying to be a more active participant here.
I am primarily a card maker. I think I've been stamping (and collecting stamps) for almost 20 years. Except for a few family cards, all of my cards go to charities.
After several years of starts and stops, I actually finished a full year of PL last year. This year I'm still taking pictures and recording moments but I've yet to get a single photo in an album. I'm debating what to do about WITL. Maybe it could be a jump start to getting back into PL.
I'm in my first year of retirement and loving it. I share my home with 2 funny dogs.

I'm Carolyn. I got an email from a 2Peas member when the board closed inviting me here, so I've been here since close to the beginning. I'm married with one son and work full-time outside the home. I mostly scrap 12x12 and P365, and mostly hang out over at Cocoa Daisy. I've been posting lots lately at SC, too, but now I feel mostly done with them. I expect I'll be posting here a lot more now.

I'm Tracy. I'm a middle school art teacher. I've been scrapping for over 10 years and have been a member of two peas for most of that time. I make 12 x 12 pages- no real interest in project life. I'm not married and I have no kids. I do have 3 nephews that I scrap a lot. I love scrapbook videos and tons of new product.

Hello! I've got some major catching up to do around here! My name is Carolyn, I'm a SAHM living in Florida with my husband of 18 years and my two boys. I have been scrapping since 1999/2000, started out CM style that a co-worker introduced me to. I mostly participated in the classes at 2peas, but had a baby and didn't get to scrap much or get on 2peas much, but when I finally did, they had closed about a month after! I panicked (even though I hadn't visited in a while, I still liked that inspiration and peas who understood my sb love were there!) So I found this place right after the closure...I haven't been on here in a bit, but I like that it's here when I do get my mojo to scrap Which I'm curently trying to complete some pages in my youngest's baby album! Man it's hard trying to get back in the groove Welcome to all our new refupeas! |

Hi, I'm Kathy and I live about 20-30 minutes, depending on the traffic, east of Seattle. I started scrapping after my first ds was born in 1998. I am hella behind in scrapping and will occasionally make a page, stop in here for inspiration and of course shop, thanks to whoever posted all those bargain scrapping websites.

Hi I'm Laura! I was mainly a lurker also on 2 peas, but joined here almost from the beginning. I still lurk a lot, but I've been trying to post more. I'm married with 3 kids & 8 grandchildren. I keep 3 of the grandkids while their parents work. That keeps me really busy but I try to squeeze in some scrapping on the weekends. I've been doing mostly PL lately due to being so busy! I'm so glad to have all the new members!

Hi I'm Anne from New Zealand. I came here after 2 Peas closed, though I was mostly a lurker on the old boards. Have been card making for about 20 yrs, scrapping for about 15 and recently have also got into Project Life. Not married, no kids, but I have a gorgeous niece who I love to scrap. I work as an environmental lawyer and love the creativity that paper crafts brings into my life. I'm currently an SC subscriber but am looking around for other options as I haven't been that impressed with the kits lately. I love shopping in the US since the range of things is sooo much better than we get locally. So any recommendations for kit clubs and stores are always welcome  I've dabbled in other crafts like quilting, cross-stitch and mosaics, but always come back to paper Like aggiebonfire00 I'm also a runner and am currently training for the Legend marathon, followed by the Auckland marathon in November. |

hi there! i am kelly from ontario, canada. i am kellyv or kbvdm depending on which mb i am reading but wish now, in hind site that i had just used kellyv wherever i went. i post intermittently at papertrey ink and cocoa daisy and i used to spend time at sc but have decided i am best to stay away so that i can remember more when it was a happy place to visit. i make cards and pages and i also paint in my bible (as shanna noel says); i have subscribed to more sb kits than i can count over the years and i currently sub to the planner kit at cocoa daisy (use items mostly for pl) and to ali's story kits.
i have one husband, one son, one dog and i am a sahm; we are farmers so really, my hubby is a sahd as well. i walk many km every day and i also love to practice yoga and ride my bike (bicycle) every chance i get. very happy to have found this place so thank you @skellinton for directing me (us) here from sc.

Married to my college sweetheart with a 3 yr old DS. I started scrapping in 2000 and have pretty much kept with it since that time, although my productivity ebbs & flows with life. Right now I'm in a "flow" stage I do a mix of 12 x 12 traditional pages and PL/pocket pages. I was active on 2peas, but not as much in the last few years. I did read almost every day though, so I was sad when the board closed. So happy to have this one! |

Hi all. I am Janet. I live in Orlando. I've been here since BD (before Disney). I have only been to WDW 4 or 5 times and two of those times was with my grands! I am 61 and have been married to my high school sweetheart for 44 years. We have two children and two grandchildren. I work 7p-7a in an Open Heart Unit in a busy Level I trauma center. I have been an Open Heart nurse for 28 years.
I am an old 2 peas-er from way, way back. I can remember finding 2peas and downloading paper piecing patterns. I rarely post but read a lot. I scrap chronologically and am way behind, just now scrapping 2005. But I am currently working on a huge project scrapping our once-in-a-lifetime trip to Alaska last year. We were there for almost a month and had a blast. I took thousands of photos. I am finding it hard not to scrap every single one!
I belong to a local scrapping group, The Sunshine Scrappers, here in Orlando. We have monthly crops. In fact there is one tomorrow! I just bought a new "wagon" and spent an hour today packing and unpacking it. I even took pictures so I could pack it after the crop! I love my group and only wish I could attend every month but my crazy work schedule prevents that.
Glad to see all the new faces and happy to have the GS board moving again! I love it!

I am Loni, a SAHM of 5 and a wife -married 11 yrs. It took me too long to join the refupeas, as I have heard of the board since it started!
I have terribly missed chatting about my hobby. So glad tonhave joined and started to get to know you guys.
I am a 12x12 scrapper. I also do PL, cards and the occasional DIY project. (I just said that in another thread). And I am from WY. So though I beg often for scrappy friends, there aren't many here.
I'm chatting from tapatalk so that makes my posts brief and my typos plentiful!
