From the comments section of this story.
25 Things I Trust More than Hillary Clinton:
• Mexican tap water • A wolverine with a 'pet me' sign • A mixed drink made by Bill Cosby • A straight shave from Jodi Arias • An elevator ride with Ray Rice • A flu shot from Dr. Kervorkian • Brian Williams memory • Pete Carroll coaching decisions • Loch Ness monster sightings • Pinocchio • The Boy that cried Wolf • Browns going to the Super Bowl • A Nigerian inheritance email • A Snapping turtle in a mud bath • Harry Reid's exercise equipment • Tying Slick Willies shoes • A test fart in bed sick with the flu • A factory packed parachute • A kiss from Judas • A Josh Duggar Daycare facility • A mattress tied to a car top • Keeping my healthcare plan • A North Korean trial • A BIC pen that doesn't leak • A tuna fish sandwich left on a city bus
(This story was on Yahoo news...I've never noticed that they lean particularly left or right...but I like reading the comments, especially from what I consider a pretty neutral site, because it gives me an idea of where the rest of America is on an issue.)

I'd apply that list to most any politician.

There's a lot of truth in that list!

I'm not going to comment on the list, which is just more Hillary hate. But I wanted to say that I've found the comments sections of any online news site are pretty scary places. I look at them occasionally and they seem to attract the most semi-literate crazies on both sides of the aisle (not that this list is semi-literate, just ridiculously snarky).
I would not consider the comments section representative of the country as a whole in any way.

If I ignore the title and the fact that it is, as lucyg said, just more Hillary hate, it is quite an amusing list. I guess you could insert any number of people or groups in the title: 25 things I Trust More Than Jeb Bush / Lawyers / Used Car Salesmen / Rush Limbaugh / Ferguson PD etc etc

Even if I truly agreed with those who believe they have reason to distrust Ms. Clinton for specific incidents, I would be very surprised if I would equate that distrust with most of the examples in this list - and especially as an aggregate. I'm not even sure I could apply that list to President Nixon. (And believe me, even though too young to vote, I was no fan.) It wasn't until I read today's threads that I realized the depth of distrust for HRC among some. 25 things I Trust More Than Jeb Bush / Lawyers / Used Car Salesmen / Rush Limbaugh / Ferguson PD etc etc Meg, I swear you know more American cultural references than...well...most Americans!

I'd like to request a Political Board so people could spew their hate somewhere else. I really liked that until recently there were very few political posts here, mostly because they usually turned nasty on the old site.
It is my opinion that if you can't state your political beliefs calmly, or more importantly listen to opposing beliefs just as calmly, and then have the ability to discuss your differences without name calling and general nastiness you need to learn to listen to both sides and if you can't I suggest you should find a better outlet than this welcoming board of women sharing the joys, sorrows, and the general chaos of daily life.
I think the world would be so much better if we really learned to listen to each other. Think about how much you could advance your cause if what you stated your opinion without anger, hatred, and petty name calling.
Just saying.

I'm not going to comment on the list, which is just more Hillary hate. Oh come on - we took Trump off of the Democrats' hands. Let us at least keep our Hillary hate.

I thought the list was funny, and can totally separate it from whatever political story it was associated with.

Maybe not so many and we've been flying under the radar. For most of the past year, we've been between major U.S. elections, but now we're ramping up again, so it's only going to get worse (or better, depending on your POV). I don't care if we get relegated to a political board or not, but be aware, even if we're right here ... all you have to do to avoid us is not open the political threads. I'm not sure what the problem is.

A lot of people have experienced a Loch Ness monster sighting! It's just that they've always been alone when they did so!

If the shoe fits....
I don't really hold any politician in high regard but I'm not up for more scandal and disgrace in the White House that Hill and Bill will surely bring with them. I don't think Bill can keep it in his pants for the duration.

Edited to add...there are at least 34 other threads on page 1 that are not political in nature. (there may be more...but I counted anything that I wouldn't necessarily consider political but someone else may)

Sure, there's the "fringe" people in the comments section, but they're still a "representation" as to the way people are feeling about any news story, aren't they? Even if you leave the comments section thinking "man those people are nuts"...that's the representation for the day. (have I left comments sections saying to myself that people were nuts...absolutely)
I never said that I make political, relationship, or money making decisions based on the comments section so please don't read too much into my comments or think that I put too much stock in what I read in the comments section.

At first glance I was with you. Then I read the Josh Duggar daycare. Really? You would rather Josh Duggar diddle your kid than have Hillary Clinton be POTUS? That's not snarky or funny. It's just gross.

A test fart in bed sick with the flu.
What does this mean? I've never heard of this before.
ETA: I'm also surprised people find some of those funny, especially the sexual abuse ones. And by no means am I a prude, it's just that we've had some VERY heated debates here about some of these very topics.

You could put many politicians names in there and the list would still work. Some of them are funny, some not so much, Cosby, Rice and Duggar for example, not so funny.

Again, not meaning to sound snarky although I'm sure I do but just do not open political threads. If someone titles their thread "favorite type of cheese to use for grilled cheese?" and then starts talking about the election in the first post...well then that might be basis for a complaint. lol. But otherwise it's usually pretty easy to tell which threads are going to be political and which ones aren't.

That would be awesome...kind of like throwing random political comments on the "what's for dinner?" or birthday threads. Kind of like photobombing.

I didn't read or interpret this the same way you did, because I don't trust ANYTHING on the list (although I haven't touched a Bic pen in years...so that one may no longer apply and we could most likely add any politician to the list as well) so no, I wouldn't run and sign my kids up for the Josh Duggar daycare. I don't think that's what the author was trying to imply.

So if I were at a comedy club and the performer launched into this list, (Or a late night talk show host), I would chuckle and roll my eyes a bit at the tacky or tasteless nature of it. Never would I imagine that the person speaking those words would actually prefer drinking a spiked cocktail and being abused to trusting Hillary Clinton. Same with any of the others on the list. In fact in concerns me that anyone would read that and take it literally at face value. It is obvious satirical humor. Now probably the contributors to the list are not some of Hillary's bigger fans. But to take it as anything other than humor in questionable taste, is scary. Scary to not be able to separate satire from reality. Exactly. The thing is, anyone taking this at face value probably has no issue at all with the satire presented by Jon Stewart.

This thread title was clear. Don't open it if you feel you might be overly bothered by it.
