Sadly I think this country is being hijacked by uneducated white trash and milliniels (sp) who will vote for ANYONE who is entertaining and is not currently from the political system. They don't want another Clinton or Bush. It has nothing to do with hillary's email scandal. They want a Trump or a Ben Carson, or heck, I even saw that Deez Nuts was doing well in polls.
Too many people are making a mockery of the system. I just hope that trump is doing so well in the polls because people think it's funny to mess with polls, but will then get serious when it's time to actually vote.
But when we live in a country where more people watch Wipeput than the evening news, I don't hold out much hope.
Watch the first 10 minutes of the movie "Idiocracy". That is sadly our reality in this country.

I think this poll speaks to how deeply people feel HRC is untrustworthy, not necessarily how likable DT is. ETA: The email server thing is really taking a toll on Hillary, IMO. Agreed. I'm admittedly on the fence re: Hillary, though I tend to like her. The thing is, I want a Democratic president, and I don't see Sanders (the one I really like) being able to win the General, even if he can secure the nomination. There just don't seem to be a lot of candidates on the Dem side. I am really, really saddened at the thought of a Trump presidency. If everyone who likes Bernie votes for him, he'd win.

Sometimes I find myself bewildered by the world. Donald Trump and his popularity is one of those things that makes me realize that I simply don't understand (and maybe don't want to understand) the inner landscapes of my fellow citizens. It's because he isn't a career politician and even though the way he says things is not the most polite way, he is saying things that need to be said. Things that many have been feed up with for a long long time. Are these the same people who were making a big stink about President Obama not having enough experience to be President? And if he is saying things that many people are thinking or wish they could say themselves, then it makes me really sad and concerned for humanity and for the country. But, I guess I shouldn't be surprised based on the crap that people share on Facebook.

And what exactly are the conversations that Trump is starting? I haven't heard much of anything except him being mean, rude, disrespectful, sexist and horrible. I don't take anything he says seriously.

The way he delivers his message is harsh and crude, no doubt about it. But at the core is a message that resonates with those who are sick and tired of the establishment's practices of using political correctness to corral us like sheep and pit one side against the other. He's taken the invisibility cloak off of the 'elephant in the room' and people are now TALKING about root issues that have steadily been bringing this country to its knees. As a country with any hope of getting our shit together, we need to have the *ugly* talk, like it or not. Trump is putting it on the table like no one else has ever even attempted to and I think it's a good thing. L Furthering conversation is good. But some of that conversation isn't just ugly, it is simply not possible. He can't just ignore the facts and make stuff up. For me, and I guess this is the crux of the issue, he may be talking about that 'elephant in the room' but while he is talking, he is throwing out a whole lot comments that are steps beyond politically correct and from my point of view, just as divisive as what we have now. I watched the town hall meeting last night, and later an interview on CNN. I am not the smartest person around, but it seems to me that a lot of what he said isn't even possible when it comes to the execution. This is what bothers me most about Donald Trump. It seems to me that he has given little thought to how he will accomplish his goals. He just says "I'm rich, I can do this." Running a country is not the same thing as running a business. The goals are different, and the limitations certainly are. Trump seems to be a good businessman....it's not really something I'm qualified to judge....but part of that is because in many instances he has total control over his decisions. Not so in government. I am also of the opinion that just because somebody is born here should not necessarily confer citizenship, but I don't want Donald Trump or anybody else just changing that by fiat. What else will he declare to be law, or not? That's one of the problems I have with President Obama.

Right on par with Hillary pretending not to know what it means to destroy evidence and joking about getting an account that will do it for her. They are nothing alike. One is sexist, and one is a bad joke. Maybe you're right. One destroyed evidence, which points to a cover up of having done something illegal and jeopardizing the security of the country and the other just has a habit of saying rude things. Maybe not on par at all.

Trump's Mobile 'pep rally' has had to be moved to the football stadium due to the 30,000 people who have obtained tickets to hear him.

M, having lived there I'm quite qualified to know the Spanish people of New Mexico from the non Spanish. Well, if you were that qualified, you would know not to describe those people as "Spanish". This word is used to describe our language and people from Spain. I doubt that the "Spanish people from New Mexico" as you describe, are people who emigrated from Spain. Although, admittedly, there may be a large contingency of Spanish ex-pats who settled there. You are probably describing the Hispanic people in NM. If I were a betting woman, they are probably of Mexican descent.
